The last time we were in Ashland, a little over a year ago, we ate here as a family and it was great. Last week, we were in town for my Mom's memorial service. We needed comfort food. Wiley's came to mind and didn't disappoint.

I had a #8, the spicy Thai concoction with linguini. It was just perfect, and came with a wonderful salad. I killed it, and was content for the night.

If you're in search of a small, neighborhood pasta joint with big-time flavor and freshness, this is it. Service is great, smells are enticing, and the food is reasonably priced for Ashland. Go for it.

I should have opted for getting one of their Purple T-Shirts after my meal.  It was that good.

It's quite a small restaurant, with less than convenient parking spots.  I don't know if I would have even known it was there, if not for other reviews on Yelp (so, thanks, guys!).  The cozy set up is perhaps part of its charm.

Wiley's menu has a list of what I call 'configurations' and 'specialties'.
On the left of the menu, as I remember, you can configure your pasta choice by choosing a noodle (like say, fettucine or spaghetti) and a sauce.  The sauce is one of maybe 10 options that range from things like Mediterranean-style with feta, sundried tomatoes, etc. or a spicy thai peanut.  Lots of options, which makes it fun.

On the right side of the menu are the specialties, which are stuffed pastas and lasagna dishes.  Things like roasted garlic and gorgonzola ravioli (I think), or smoked salmon ravioli (which is what I got) are there, and provide other things to drool over.

I honestly had a real hard time selecting...I am a pasta fiend, and make a lot of my own fresh homemade stuff.  There were probably 7 or 8 things that I would have wanted to try, but had to narrow it down.  I was very happy with my smoked salmon ravioli choice.  Dinner entrees come with their salad, and a side of their pink poppy seed dressing, which is quite yummy.  My only regret?  That I didn't have a chance to go back and try the other things that also sounded so yummy.  The price was right at around $11/entrée, which I see as great value.

I paired the above with a Total Domination IPA.  Yeah, they have some good Oregon brews available, which is always a plus.
I believe they are organic, and have vegan options too (but don't quote me, am going by memory).

They had a nice selection of pastas for kids as well, which we appreciated.  They remembered 'no butter, just cheese' for our little guy, which was good.

Service was solid.  Friendly and attentive enough, but not anything magic.  As good as it needs to be.

Next time, I'm getting a purple t-shirt.  And, I'm sure I'll have another hard choice to make on what entrée to order.

My favorite restaurant for a decent, healthy, satisfying meal in Ashland. The best part about this place might actually be the fact that the staff genuinely seem to enjoy what they do and care about getting it right. No aloof jerks swooping down and pitching a cruet set next to your hand while picking up somebody else's breadbasket.

As most of the previous reviewers have noted, the pasta is homemade and can be had in a tremendous variety. Something for everyone here. The portions are perfectly sized. If you prefer to get full on breadsticks and salad, drive to Medford; otherwise come here and eat a meal that will make you full and happier than when you arrived.

It can get busy even on weeknights so be prepared to maybe wait a few minutes. The parking in front is small and kind of weird so you may prefer to jaywalk from the bank parking lot across the way, as I do.

They now do a weekend brunch. I didn't try it but did show up for lunch one day and had a look at the brunch-menu in the process. I'll definitely be back to try it.

I have eaten here twice now in the last month. The first was lunch with co-workers and then with my Husband on a special weekend get-away. They have excellent food and are very well priced. They have homemade pasta, great salad with homemade dressing as well as homemade desserts and ice cream. For lunch or dinner you cannot go wrong with Wiley's.

Wiley's is one of the best restaurants in Ashland. It's very tiny, but totally casual and laid-back; the food is fresh and delicious.

I love that the pasta is organic and there is a huge variety in how it can be prepared (e.g. sauces, meat and veggies), and also that every plate comes with a heaping salad + dressing and excellent fresh bread. It's simple, good food, period. I've been here a few times now and have cleaned my plate each time. I usually get Julie's Toss as it is pretty darn perfect.

This place is very small, so there is often a wait for a table and no waiting area really, but once you get seated, service is pretty quick and the staff is all very friendly. Reservations are only for parties of 5 or more. I highly recommend this place!

It's a hole in the wall...
...but the pasta is homemade as are all the sauces. The preparations are original as well. The net result is a delicious and savory meal in an otherwise tight space!

It is amazing what a difference fresh pasta makes--creamy and rich...I'd go back again.

They offer their homemade pastas and sauces for take home purchase as well.

This place is an excellent value!  It's really 3-1/2 stars for the freshness of the ingredients, great service, and excellent value.

Wiley's makes all their pasta fresh on-site, and appears to make all the sauces fresh as well. I had a special with chicken sausage in a fresh pasta with cream sauce.  The sauce was creamy without being overly rich or heavy, the fresh mozzarella in the dish still had a pleasant squeak on the tooth, and the pasta was nicely cooked. My only real complaint was the chicken sausage itself, which was a little dry.

Salads served with the meals are basic - just some romaine lettuce greens - but with a poppyseed dressing that was quite good.

My fiancée had ravioli, which she enjoyed, my dad had a linguine with walnut pesto which was quite good, and my mom had the salmon special that she also enjoyed. Overall, the food was fresh and well prepared, with extremely generous portions.

Dessert was a highlight - a marionberry peach cobbler with a crunchy-sugary top biscuit. Incredibly rich and ample for sharing.

Our waitress was efficient, friendly, and helpful. She gave recommendations, kept water glasses filled, and was smiling and friendly throughout the dinner. The atmosphere is casual and family friendly. The place has a very relaxed, "diner" feel so don't go expecting a fancy dinner.

I don't quite get the 5 star craziness on the reviews. That makes it seem like the best pasta you've ever had at a top restaurant, which this isn't. Rather, it's a place that belongs on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" being lauded for their freshness ethic and friendly service. We'll be back when we want a good dinner at a good price.

This place is great if you:

    1. Love pasta
    2. Are vegan

I was really impressed to see that in addition to having vegan dishes, they actually have vegan pasta as well as vegan bread. Plus, plenty of meat options for the rest of us. Cute, small restaurant with great service. I had the smoked salmon ravioli with a basil or pesto cream sauce. Unfortunately, the pasta and the sauce was only lukewarm and the sauce tasted mostly like cream - not so much of whatever herb was supposed to be in there. But it was tasty and served with a salad and bread. My dad got a vegan dish that he really liked and I know his came out hot because I could see the steam rising from it. My husband doesn't eat pasta at all and they were gracious enough to make a special entree for him that was just meat and sauce. It wasn't quite enough food for him, but that is to be expected when it is the pasta that is really filling.

The prices are really reasonable. If we are in the area again, I would go back.

Ok this place is slightly overrated on yelp! It's good, not great. Maybe with a lack of  choices in the area it becomes more of a gem. The food is good, tasted like homemade although my mutt family makes better. It's a cute little place, would be happy to take my mom there. Parkings a B can't imagine finding a spot if they are busy. It was a nice stop on my roady, beats the heck out of another drive thru gut bomb! Thank you Yelp and contributing gluttons!

The food was all great, but the service sucked so bad that it ruined the meal. They took 25 minutes to inform my daughter that her selection wasn't available, screwed up my wife's order, and didn't get her dinner for another 15 minutes. Fortunately they comped my wife's dinner. Oh, there were also problems with the drinks.

    Food, at least 4 stars.
    Service, negative 3 stars.

What a great little place!! The host was very welcoming (and kinda cute, according to my daughter!!), got us seated quickly and set up with drinks. The waiter was also friendly.

The food tasted good. The homemade pasta made the dish. I have to say, I was a little taken aback to see everything arrive on one plate. I am not a fan of salad mixed with my pasta sauce!! I feel the whole meal would have been 5-stars if they had served my salad and bread as an appetizer.

I will look forward to going again.

Things to note - parking is tight and the place can get very crowded, when there is a line of people. That said, I loved that the host was able to look after everyone so well (he got people settled on the outside bench with drinks etc...).

We've had our hit and misses here--but now that we know what to order and what to avoid, we love eating here.

To avoid: angel hair--tends to be mushy; spaghetti--weird texture.

So, get your pasta orders with either linguine or fettuccine and you'll be fine.

Recommendations: roasted olive toss, the mediterranean, the Smoked Salmon Ravioli.

Don't forget to save room for dessert--the fruit cobbler and the double chocolate walnut brownie are both very good!

Came to Wiley's based on yelp reviews and we were not disappointed. It is a small restaurant tucked away in Ashland, but definitely worth it.

We ordered a local bottle of wine and people watched in the restaurant. I ordered the linguine with garlic, capers and a wine sauce. It was loaded with roasted garlic, which made me smell of garlic all evening and the next day. So worth it though. Very delicious dish. I also ordered a side of the meatball which were to die for. They were so succulent and paired very nicely with my pasta dish. it comes with salad with a very tasty vinaigrette dressing and a rosemary bread. The bread wasn't my favorite, but the rest of my dish was delicious.

My date ordered the special with pork scallopini dish with mushrooms, capers and homemade fettuccine. I tried his dish and it was really good. He said the pork really made this dish.

The service and the atmosphere was very friendly.  We had 6 people and we all fit into the small restaurant comfortably.  I had the veggie primavera with angel hair pasta.  The pasta was a bit sticky but the rest was so good my brother was eating off my plate.  All the pasta and- ravioli which I tasted and it was really tasty- comes with a alien of fresh brea and a side salas.  The salad also comes with a pretty little pink poppy seed vinaigrette that I never would've tried orreries but sure was happy I did.  Also my dad got a side order of meatballs buy said they were a bit hard.

Wiley's has a laid back vibe, organic food, and is very kid-friendly if a little on the small side. I mean, the bathroom has a full-blown, full-size wooden changing table. It's not super fancy but the ravioli we got was nicely cooked al dente and came with a side salad and focaccia-type bread. The food was just ok but it's a nice little place that would be perfect for a family of picky kids.

Wiley's World is one of my favorite restaurants in Ashland. The food is great and the portions are HUGE so I always have some leftovers for lunch the next day.

The dining room is small and it can be a little crowded, especially during peak hours, but it usually feels "cozy" instead of "cramped." The service is great and the servers are very friendly and accommodating.

One of Wiley's few weaknesses is the parking situation. They have a private lot but it is very small and difficult to get in and out of.

So... to conclude, if you like pasta and are looking for an authentic "Ashland" experience, you can't go wrong with Wiley's :)

As an out of towner, I had to depend on Yelp to guide me to the best place in town, and this by far really seems to be it!

I drove past the place a few times and had a hard time finding it, only cause their sign says "Wiley's World" and had no Italian look to it whatsoever. And it's a small little shack, but wonderful shack at that.

Walked in right before it got really busy, looked at the specials on the chalk board, looked at the menu, and it took me a long while to decide because everything looked original and fabulous. I ended up with the Basil Walnut Pesto with fettuccine - organic basil, walnuts, garlic, and olive oil, served with a side of parmesan. Also a side of their house made fluffy bread, and side salad comes with it. A fully complete meal, love it.

The pasta was fresh and simple and although most people are used to sodium saturated canned dishes, this was light and fresh, exactly what my body needed, even though I could of eaten so much more, but let's not be gluttonous here I remind myself.

I added a little extra to my salad, and made it a house salad which had greens, feta cheese, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, grated carrot, and red cabbage, with a perfectly sweetened poppy-seed dressing.

This is one place you can walk out of not feeling guilty of eating your whole meal, and licking the plate to finish it off. I love the casual dining of this place too, they don't take away from quality just because it's a casual place.

Service was warm and sweet. The girls were lovely. Men were handsome.

I went to Wiley's earlier in the week and got the 4-cheese ravioli and a side of meatballs. The meatballs were so salty that I didn't  want to eat them and the ravioli was so overpowered by the "decent" sauce that I couldn't taste it. Service was slow, water was never refilled once...would NOT go back.

Wiley's makes the sort of pasta you could easily make at home if you weren't:

    -on vacation
-exhausted from a long day at work
-dining with picky kids who all want a different pasta topping

And they make it fast, give you lots of options, do it organic, and serve you salad and delicious bread on the side.

It's fairly cheap, not at all fancy, and not the best food you'll ever eat, but it has it's time and place and you've got to give it that.

I was somewhat dubious when our friends suggested we meet them for dinner here.  I had no idea it was a restaurant, I thought they just made pasta for other places.  I was so wrong.

The food is outrageously good.  Fresh, original and tasty.

The service was excellent and the staff very friendly.  The cook/chef? peeked over the counter to ask how we like the specials.

Lots of great beer and wine choices without having to drop a bundle of cash.

There's something about the feeling in this eatery.  I can't put my finger on it.  It's small but very clean and it has a very homey, welcoming vibe.  It's like your eating at the home of a really good friend who knows how to make really kick-ass food.  Positive vibrations make for a splendiforous dining experience.

Simply fantastic.  As a visitor, I looked to Yelp for a good pasta place and Wiley's World was the highest rated.  I had the Roasted Olive Toss with Fettuccine.  The olives were roasted to a very civilized level and tasted elegant, a perfect compliment to the olive oil.  It included a salad with a creamy raspberry poppyseed vinaigrette dressing and a slice of rosemary bread.  The Blue Sky Root Beer was also impressive, the sharpest I've ever had.  For dessert, I had a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream, excellent body and less melty than the supermarket variety.  It was worth every cent.  Probably the best pasta, nouveau or otherwise, I've had in recent memory.

We took a spur of the moment drive to Ashland (from CA) for dinner & decided to give Wiley's a try. I would call this hippie-Italian food, which is totally my style.  Everything is organic and homemade. However, we met our Italian relatives there & they didn't like it so much (no meat sauce & it was too tomatoey).

The atmosphere is "Hamburger Mary's" funky. Very small, wobbly tables (which they had shims readily available for us to fix the problem),and I think I saw a baby doll head on a shelf & a poster with pigs on it.

The homemade vanilla ice cream was yummy and the coffee was OUTSTANDING!

Oh one thing that I thought was kind of strange is they serve the house salad on the same plate with the pasta. Too much crammed on one plate.

But I will be back because Wiley's is cozy, has nice servers, local clientele and good strong coffee.

Wow.  Wow.  Did I say wow?  Excellent hand made pasta. Cooked to perfection.  The regular entree comes with salad and a slice of fresh olive bread. My wife couldn't stop talking about the salad. The tomatoes on the salad tasted like tomatoes.  In April.  The dressing was fun and tasty, but lets get back to the pasta. I had Spaghetti Marinara, my wife had Linguine Alfredo.  Deeeelish!  All for $10.95 a plate.  For $2.50 more I could have had Meatballs on it as well, but it didn't need it. Staff was great and super cheerful.  If you are staying in Ashland, do yourself a favor! Oh, they also sell their fresh pasta.  good pricing, great staff, super food!

After 3-4 previous trips to Ashland involving downtown dining, we found this treasure near the college.  Due to dire warnings about parking we went for early dinner and found ourselves to be the oldest folks in the place.  The food was OUTRAGEOUSLY good. I was over the moon that I could eat not only gluten free pasta but egg-free too. I had the fresh veggies and pasta and it was al dente perfection. My husband had the special marinated flank steak fettucine and got the clean plate award.

They don't yet have vegan desserts but are working on it. How one could eat dessert after a healthy plate of pasta and salad is beyond me, anyway. It was great food at a  great price. Loved it!
