Pamela is amazing.  She is very professional and friendly.  I go to Pamela for regular eyebrow dying and eyelash tinting.  She does an awesome job of waxing, and coloring my eyebrows, and I always leave looking so much better than I did, when I arrived.  I have also done a complete vjay-jay wax with Pamela, and it did hurt a little, but she showed me some breathing techniques, which made it so much easier.  I would not go to anyone else but her.  Her facials are also heaven, and it is amazing to be pampered and relaxed.  I always leave feeling as if I have been rejuvenated.  I have no hesitations whatsoever, in recommending Pamela.  You will not be disappointed.

I've been here a total of two times, but after my last trip I do not think I will be returning. I feel terrible having to write this one because the owner is so nice, but this is something that can really affect one's health. The owner, Pamela, is super nice and makes sure you are comfortable in almost every respect except one:

    DOUBLE DIPPING!

When I noticed it and asked her about it, pretending not to know much and gave her a chance to explain. (I actually know a lot about the subject). She tried to convince me that double dipping is a common practice and that if double dipping caused STDs and infections, then everyone in Los Angeles would constantly be "sick."

This might sound too blunt, but NEWS FLASH: if you know statistics on STDs and other infections that can occur down there and combine it with the fact that people in LA have the most sex (and considering how many people have unprotected sex which I hear about CONSTANTLY), I'm sure it doesn't take a genius to figure out that these "sicknesses" as she called them are everywhere. So why take the risk? Just because all the other waxers are doing it doesn't make it right. Tsk tsk  to her for not being up to date on this or flat out ignoring it.  As another knowledgeable waxer told me, "Shame on her. The first thing they teach you in school is to NEVER double dip."

She then continued and tried to convince me that bacteria and viruses do not survive on "non-organic materials" and that the heating of the wax kills anything that might be lurking in the wax pot. However, that is also not true. If it was, Lysol and disinfectant sprays would not exist (they are generally for use on inorganic and non-porous surfaces) If you check out the government's CDC website as well as DCA websites, they recognize the reuse of disposable tools such as wooden waxing sticks to be considered unsanitary because wood is a porous material.  If a waxer tried to use a dirty strip on you, would you be okay with it? It's the same concept... Disposable waxing sticks are INCREDIBLY inexpensive when purchased in bulk. It's a difference of a few cents per waxing. If anything, charge a little more to recoup the cost if that is what you need, Is that really worth jeopardizing your business?

Also, wax must be heated to an intolerable temperature to be able to even begin killing any organisms that are left in the pot. The appropriate temperature needed to kill off microbial agents would severely burn you and land you in a hospital.

Estheticians/ waxers who do not follow these strict guidelines can be charged with a hefty fine and shut down if the offense keeps happening because they can cause an outbreak if they even have ONE single client who has an infection or STD.

If you think I'm being too harsh, then you need to do your research and find out if the risk is worth it. This is one subject I am adamant about because it is crucial to your health- especially for women.

My friend referred to me to Pamela about a year ago and she is great. She does my facials and waxing and I even buy her skin products. She is so nice and makes you feel very comfortable. She is easy to reach, I just text her when I want to come in and she gets right back to me. She is always on time and does a great job. I wish I knew about her years ago, I recommend her to all my friends.

Pamela is a hidden treasure. I'm more than thrilled to share my experience. I'm new to waxing ( Pamela is my 3rd esthetician I've tried (for waxing)...and you know what they say...3rd time is the CHARM!) Not to say the other ones weren't super pleasant and sweet but they still made me suffer.

My 1st waxing experience was horrifying and painful...My 2nd, 3rd, and 4th with another esthetician was not pleasant experiences to say the least but still had to be induced by some pain killers)

Then, I found Pamela. She uses hard wax on the entire area which is sooooooooooo much less painful and I'm actually able to carry out a full conversation through the whole session with almost no discomfort!

Also, she is SO QUICK and proficient at what she does, it's truly a talent.

She also carries some awesome products that it's a one stop shop for all your waxing needs.

Lastly, you will not find a place that'll beat her prices and get what you get for your $.

Thanks Pamela, I am now loyal to you!

I was a client of Pamela's several years ago when she worked at Spoiled Day Spa in Valley Village and she was the BEST. I didn't know that she had opened her own place until I walked into this very hidden shop just minutes after doing a Yelp search and calling for an immediate appointment. Pamela has two great things going for herself. First, she is wonderful at eyebrow waxing/shaping. Practically painless and no redness. I have zero complaints. Second she is possibly the nicest person in the world. After not seeing her for about five years Pamela remembered every significant detail of my life like a great therapist. That's a special talent to have and makes you feel very comfortable. Don't forget to call first since she's not always there.

This place is amazing. Had a wax here and:

    1. The wax was less painful than traditional american waxes.
    2. Had minimal redness (ALWAYS a plus)
    3. Lotion at the end was amazing.

Super friendly and inviting place as well, which is always good when you're getting WAXED! and of course, it's nice that it's in a discreet little building.

    Pamela is fabulous!
It was difficult to find a place that could accommodate my small window of availability, but Pamela's early hours were perfect, and with all the stellar yelp reviews, I had no qualms about my appointment.
Pamela is the perfect balance of professional and completely welcoming.  She is clearly very knowledgeable, and this was the least painful waxing experience that I've ever had - the hard wax is amazing!  Her prices are ridiculously reasonable, and she even puts out treats in the lobby - a lovely little touch.
I will absolutely be returning and recommending Wildflower to all of my friends!

I just had to come back on here to mention that Pamela kicks ass at facials too.  I've worked with some great aestheticians and won't waste my time with paying all the money for someone that doesn't know what they are doing.  Pamela is worth every penny.  I'LL BE BACK.

Pamela is incredibly gentle and FAST!

I trust very few (2) people with my eyebrows
Pamela was able to shape my brows, did my lip and there was almost NO histamine response -- you know, the icky redness and bumps that are the skin's equivalent of screaming "Why did you yank hair out with wax!?" With Pamela, there was NO screaming or redness.  (^_^)

As a technician, Pamela is very skilled, professional, and THOROUGH.

As a person, Pamela is super sweet, upbeat, and has an infectious positive energy.

I'm looking forward to getting a facial from her.

If I could give Pamela more stars I would!!! She is the best at what she does!!!!  First off, I am soooo nervous about the whole bikini waxing experience, but she is the sweetest, gentlest, kind, friendly and just a God send.  I would recommend her to any one who is looking for a  skilled professional.
I am soooo thankful I found her and it was in part of the reviews here on yelp.
Don't think twice about going to any one else.

I needed a last-minute emergency brow wax and found Pamela on Yelp.  She was very friendly in a relaxed and sweet but still efficient way, and lucky for me she was totally willing to squeeze me in on a Friday afternoon with just a few hours notice.

Her space, which it looks like she shares with another practitioner of some sort, was clean and calm.  Her treatment room was soothing, with a natural, earthy vibe, and it smelled nice.

The brow wax was excellent.  I gave her very little direction but she took one look at me and knew that I'd want "clean but natural."  Her own brows were a bit more shaped than mine, so clearly she could go there, but I was very happy with my shape.  I'm a waxing veteran, so a brow wax is barely noticeable to me pain-wise, but Pamela was gentle as far as cleansing the area pre-wax, plucking, and applying some sort of post-wax lotion.  She took her time and was very careful.  By the time she was done and I took a look, I had nothing I wanted her to change at all.  I had a less-than-usual dose of the totally normal post-wax redness, no bleeding or anything funky.  I happened to get a haircut immediately after the wax, so I spent the next hour staring at myself in the mirror, and by the time I left the stylist, my skin was totally back to normal.  She did cut my brows just a teeny bit more than I would have liked (still totally within pretty range!) but in fairness I gave her no direction at all.  I am confident she'll be more than able to adjust next time I see her.

If you need the Beverly-Hills trendy salon experience, try Flirt Salon in Burbank (I've been there in the past, but no one answered the phone on Friday morning when I was desperate) because you may be put off by the slightly shabby appearance of the exterior of her office and the fact you have to find street parking.  Pamela's brow wax was $20 to Flirt's $25.  If you are a connoisseur of the Valley's hidden gems, you'll like this place.

A final note: I'm picky about giving 5 stars, especially on just one try of a multi-use local service, but I'll absolutely go back to Wildflower!

Pamela was super nice. This place is small and it has a nice feel to it as opposed to some bigger places. Pamela did her best to make my eyebrow waxing as painless as possible and really did a good job taking her time to make sure they were just right. Nice atmosphere-don't let the building fool you when walking in, it is very professional and lovely.

Here's a review for the guys - She's good.  I've been getting my chest and back waxed here for almost a year now and have no regrets.  Whether you're thinking about giving it a go or are looking for someplace new,  you can stop searching.  The answer is WildFlower Skin Care
Sometime last summer I mentioned to my girlfriend that I might want to lose the body hair - for the beach, for her, and, sure, my own self confidence.  She played it off like it was no big deal, but had the names of a couple places the very next day.
Wildflower Skin Care was priced very competitively and it was local, so I went for it.
Pamela did a great job of smoothing over what was, for me, an awkward situation.  She explained what/how she was going to do, set my expectations for both that session and the future, and just got to work.
She's a good conversationalist - which helps keep my mind from being too focused on what's happening.  When the conversation drifts to her work and she talks about new eco-friendly sugar-based whatever and whatever - I don't retain all the information, but it builds my confidence in her as a professional.
My girlfriend and I are both very happy with the end result... and I get bonus points for making the effort... so its really win-win.
Guys, if you've read this far then you're seriously debating going...  and if you're seriously debating it, you already know you want to get it done... and if you want to get it done, then its just a matter of choosing where to go.  Pamela is good.  Man up, give her a call, and go get waxed.
    You won't regret it.

Pamela is a rare, and great find!

When she opened her own salon, I had to follow her! She is fast and really great at what she does, and is so warm and friendly. She is completely professional and really makes you feel comfortable while youre getting waxed.

She really cares about your skin and gives amazing facials for a fraction of what the other spas charge. All the "extras" that spas charge she throws in for free.

I highly recommend her for any and all services -- she's the best!

I agree with the other reviews. Pamela makes you feel more like you're visiting a friend than getting your privates waxed! She is thorough and goes over any areas that need it, all inclusive of the price. Very professional and puts your comfort as a priority. I never experience any after-pain or redness/bumps when I see her. After she's done she'll have you take a look to make sure you're happy with the results too or if there are any other areas you want her to address.  I went to her about 3 or 4 times and asked for a Brazilian wax each time. The studio is clean and comfortable. I would still go to her if I still lived nearby but I am too far now. Definitely recommended!
