Have you ever wanted to drive around in a zebra painted car???
Well, you can do it here!
Imagine my excitement when I found out that I could travel a little over an hour and I would be able to drive at my leisure through this park and feed/pet all kinds of fun animals. They have a wide variety of animals including farm and safari type animals. While driving through we saw giraffes, ostriches, buffalo (scary slow moving guys), a huge bull, a rhino, antelope, etc.
I'm pretty sure that one of the bulls looked exactly like my boyfriend, so I couldn't help but love him. :-)
The drive around the park in their zebra van takes about 30 minutes and you have the option to purchase bags of food for $2 each. I went through my first bag in exactly 4 minutes and discovered that I should have bought more than just two bags, but not everyone loves animals as much as i do.... so you may not need more than one.
After taking a drive through the "safari" you have the option to go through the walking area where you will see a good variety of fun animals. Kangaroos, Ligers, Leopards, Bears, all sorts of birds, pigs, goats and monkeys... and many other cool guys.
It only costs $10 to rent their van and it's $18 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under. I would however bring your own lunch because the "concession stand" type of deal was NOT yummy at all!

"I got slobbered!"
Unlike any place I have been before... One of Shelli's gifts to me for my birthday was to extract my inner youth.
This wild safari allows you to drive in your car or one of theirs and feed the "wild" animals at your leisure. Amongst the beasts, you'll find ones that will willingly stick their heads in your car so that they can slobber all over you, your camera, clothes, and seat. Amazingly fun and brings that child-like curiosity to the surface some more.
In addition to the driving path, they have a "zoo" of sorts with a liger. A liger! Napoleon Dynamite would be proud.
Highly entertaining and recommended to brighten your day.

Truth or dare ?
Truth, you can see most of the animals on the drive thru portion of the park at a local farm.
Dare, Go to a real zoo and you will be pleased.
My problem with this place is that it is more of a farm than a safari (don't go defining the word). When you think of a safari you think of wild animals not goats, pigs, and steer walking up to your vehicle. Yes there are more than those, but guess what that is what you are going to see the most of. Don't get me wrong the kids almost always love it here. I actually took them to a farm not far from here and got the same reaction for half the price. Just don't expect to much.....
A wild animal safari in Georgia! How could you not enjoy it? Wild Animal Safari is about an hour and a half drive from Atlanta. Once you arrive you'll feel like you're at a new age zoo but, give it a minute.
Get on the bus and take the guided tour/safari. The animals graze at your window. You'll see animals from Australia to India. It's pretty great. But, be prepared to hear the wild yells of children.
This place is definitely worth checking out.

Yes, driving through the middle of Georgia and seeing zebras and ostrich and pot bellied pigs will be surreal. Which is exactly why you should do it!
You have the option to take the tram in the warmer months, but a bit more adventurous is taking your own car. Or, if you'd rather not have cow slobber on that nice leather interior, you can rent a minivan that is painted like a zebra for eleven bucks. Taking your own car means you can go at your own pace, as you snap shots of everyone feeding the animals.
The main snack bar area shows a bit of age, but look past that if you're ready to be thisclose to a zebra!
