This place is awesome because of their prices, selection and service.

    - Best prices on lashes ever! They have the full lashes, the individual lashes, the normal and the outlandish lashes. $2.50 ish

    - They also sell color contacts and the costume like ones too. Cat eyes, red eyes, black out/ white out... around $25.00 ish

    - I was about to a small color extension for $15, but the person over the counter swayed me otherwise. I ended up getting a  large weft of real human hair for $60 and some clips to make my own clip ins. So worth it!

    - To try on wigs ( they'll only let you try on three I believe, unless your a regular customer) you have to by a wig cap thingie. Its like $3. Nice to know they keep things sanitary.

    - They have everything that you could possibly need for the body at a great price.

I am giving this store 2 stars based on customer service. In regards to product and selections this store has a variety. When I use to purchase beauty supply store hair this was the only store that I would go to but since moving on to higher quality hair I have not utilized the store often. Yesterday I found myself in need of some "regular" hair so I decided to go back to what I know within my time browsing the store I decided on a wig instead of a weave the employees are very helpful and nice I appreciated their knowledge and warmness.......

Sounds all nice I found the exact wig I was looking for go up to the register to pay my hard earned cash and take a look at the package that had my wig carelessly shoved into plastic bag 0_0 after taking one look at the package I knew the wig was not new so I asked about it the manager tells me "oh we do that here" we sell the wig off the model head to customers! So I'm like ok but I'm certain these USED wigs are not full price? The manager then tells me yes the wig will still be full price even though the wig is used and been tried on by various customers.

this is unethically because for one the wig would not have the same shelf life because it's used the manager then tells me okay well this is what we do here and we have a train to catch in 5 minutes so what are you going to do? I really loved this wig and if the owner had the decency to at least give me 5 percent off I probably would have brought it but she was curt and unethical so I could not grasp giving this women my money and she know what she is doing is completely wrong so I left without my wig and a sad face on a rainy day!

I came here to make myself some extensions (that's right, I didn't feel like paying $1,000 to get it done for me!)

They've got a really great selection of synthetic and real human hair extensions. In my case, I was making my own hair clips.
The workers were very nice and helpful. I only paid $30 total to make reusable clip in hair extensions! Talk about D.I.Y....

They ALSO have nice false eyelashes for CHEAPPPP. We're talking $2.50 a pop, and they are comfortable too.

I really recommend going to this place! All you beauty whores, check it out.

Boys who want to be showgirls, play close attention. Your wig is likely to be the crowning glory of your drag debut, and this is The Source.  Their range of wigs (both synthetic or human-hair, should such details interest you) is unparalleled, and the store features several Broadway-star-style booths with triple mirrors and flattering lights so you can admire prospective new 'dos from every angle. (Note that you'll need a wig cap to do more than gaze admiringly at the hairpieces that will take you into the demimonde.)

Wigs and Plus also has an outlet on 14th Street, which allows you to avoid the CraPenSta (Crap Around Penn Station) neighborhood, but the 14th Street location is a poor, neglected stepsister of the larger, more glamorous midtown emporium.

    Work, girl!

I went here yesterday to get some Brazilian Keratin Treatment products so I can do the straightening treatment at home. A man named Luis who was very nice, funny and helpful described to me which treatment is best for my hair. They carry a lot of different products from drugstore brands like Pantene to Salon brands like Sebastian and Tigi.

I bought the Bio Naza keratin treatment, but they also have Rejuvenol, Lasio, and another one. Brazilian Keratin straightening treatments go for over $150 in salons, but I did it myself and one treatment probably cost me $20. My hair is shiny and smooth, and it's guilt-free because I didn't spend a lot of money on it. One 4 oz. treatment spray can last me up to 3 applications, which cost $69.99. That's a great deal since in the salons, it's twice the amount for one treatment.

They also have all the recent seasonal nail polishes and entire line of Essie and OPI.

Half the store is products, half the store is wigs and extensions. When I need new extensions, I will get them here.

    Very helpful and friendly staff!

Fierce boas. Fun staff. Tons of wigs. Great mirrors. Other beauty products too. A bit of a mess with some dusty inventory but a great place for fabulousity none the less. Also, came in handy when I needed it (for the boa... Halloween).

Midtown never pulls through for me - but they did! Go Wigs and Plus!

I just love love love this store.  I never knew that there were so many different styles of wigs available in one store.  Not to mention the human hair extensions they have available there.  The staff there were really friendly and the lady at the front was most helpful with any of our questions.  If you need beauty products they also have a wide variety of products for your hair and body.  My friend bought a hair flat iron and it cost less than buying the same thing on line without the shipping cost.

They even carry colored contact lenses without prescription, mustache and beards (crazy huh).  You can come out of this store a brand new person from wigs, to extensions, to eye color, makeup, etc....  There's just everything there to make you a brand new person or just enhance the inner beauty in you.

the salespeople were so great there! I had picked out a wig and it fit snuggly under my top hat. I was headed to a party that eveing and had stopped by on a whim and a fancy. The wig was a reasonable price and everyone, including my new girlfriend thought it was real lol!

needless to say the party was a blast and I wear my new hair piece everywhere! cheers

Walking from 5th avenue to 6th avenue on 32nd street was kind of a nightmare at 6pm last night. That whole area is under construction, either with new building development or scaffolding.  By the time I got there I was kind of annoyed and almost forgot what I was planning on buying. I needed to buy a pair of barber hair cutting shears and some liquid gold glue for extensions. I'm not a hairstylist but I'm sure a lot of locals go there to find everything they need.

So after a few minutes of browsing around the store, I ended up trying on a few wigs for fun. There were a ton of people just grabbing wigs without even asking for a "required" wig cap. I thought that was kind of distracting as well. I felt bad for the people that worked there because they constantly had to keep an eye on people trying on wigs that should not of been because of hygienic reasons.

The lady that helped me was friendly and patient. Her name is Cindy. I will definitely be returning to this location because I feel as though they are more stocked with products than their outlet store on 14th street.

Just got back from buying my Halloween wig and the whole process was a lot easier than I anticipated.  The salesgirl (I didn't catch her name) was extremely helpful and pleasant.  The store was busy but she helped me as fast as she could.  When I showed her a picture of what I wanted, she knew right away what to show me from their large selection.  Really simple and it only cost $30.

I walked in because I'm a nail polish junkie and I saw the huge OPI display from the street. The salespeople are super nice and the OPI seasonal displays were FULL. They also carry Color Club and lots of Essie, as well as the biggest OPI display I've seen, outranking Ricky's.

I am not fierce enough for wigs, so I didn't look at the wig selection. If you're looking for a hard to find OPI polish, come here!

They have all types of hair products that I use.  They're very convenient from where I work (right across the street!).  The people that work on the floor are always super helpful. But Unfortunately, the reason why I gave it three stars was because of the way the owner treated a customer before me that was in line attempting to return an item she'd just bought from them.  The cashier told the woman that she couldn't do anything for her and directed the customer to the back to talk to one the employees back there.  The customer then came back to the register and informed the cashier that the man in the back said that she was the owner and that she had to make the decision.  The cashier then admitted that she was the owner and that since she's not there on a regular basis, she couldn't make the decision(?????).  The customer then left screaming out loud in front of the entrance "Don't buy from this store, they don't take refunds!  Don't buy from this store they don't take refunds, they have bad customer service!".  I had to admit that I felt bad for her and experienced the urge to put my spray bottle down and leave the store as well ( I still bought it).  But I will think of other options in the future.
