If you care at all about health food and high quality food, you will shop at least some of the time at Whole Foods.

(Rainbow Grocery is also a must-go-to spot.  And Draegers.)

They have the best salad bar and lunch bar ever.  To the person who said,  "eww the bread was frozen," that is because it was not filled with preservatives and needs to be kept very cold.  Also,  if it really takes your "whole paycheck" to shop here, then maybe you are buying too much food.

The selection of  health foods, vegetarian foods, and the quality of everything is very good.  They really set a high standard here.

I love sparkling drinks.

I'm not a big drinker. You can keep your rum and cokes. You can keep your cranberry and vodka. I'll pass on whiskey, scotch, and absinthe.

But if you have a full glass of sparkling wine or champagne....give me a sip. And I hope you weren't planning on drinking any....cause...um...it's now gone.

There is something about fizzy - that makes thing sweet and fuzzy (I don't really know what fuzzy means in this context - but it sounds good)

So when I was presented with the delightful task of picking up some Gloria Ferrer Blanc de Noir Sparkling Wine the other day- I was all for it; skipping my way down 4th in my bright red flapper dress, the silver buckle on my black riding boots catching the SOMA sun.

Due to being cooking-challenged - I've kinda given up on grocery shopping. So whenever I step inside a grocery store - the gleaming aisles - all seem a little surreal. Strange.

But awkwardly stumbling -  into such a well and deliciously stocked place like Whole Foods - surpasses surreal for me. It's beyond strange. It's like stepping into a hidden oasis. Blows my mind.

Tempted to snack on the just baked desserts, the steaming hot buffet dishes, and the just ripe fruit- I made my way over to the prominent wine/champagne selection at the front of the store.

Scanning the carefully organized rows of bottles  - a kind Whole Foods staffer asked what I was looking for.  Before I even had time to finish my sentence - he was handing me two bottles of lovely sparkling wine.

At 10:30 in the morning - there was no line and after proudly showing my California ID - I was able to casually walk back to my destination - with two on-sale bottles of sparkling fabulosity.

Surprisingly enough - there aren't many places in the SOMA area where you can buy sparkling wine. Zain's, Bristol Farms, and many of the surrounding liquor and grocery stores have nothing.

But Whole Foods....a foreign world to me - full of produce and health cereals  -will always have my - and your sparkling loving back.

Trust.

Why is every single Whole Foods exactly the same?

I swear, whether in Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco, New York City, or Baltimore, it is always the same (this one happens to be especially douche-y).

The same tattooed, stretched ears, pierced lip, skinny jeans wearing, fixed gear bike riding dickweeds (or dickweedesses) ringing me up for obscenely over priced groceries.

I can only tolerate these places out of necessity.

Though WF on Franklin hits my soft spot, this is a great facility here on the 4th street. Much bigger, spacious, and easier parking.

STOP COMPLAINING about the prices. For shelf items, I've compared it with rainbow (Safeway is OUT of the comparison, OK? They only carry generic stuff, i.e. no goat/sheep milk yogurt, no good locally produced honey.), and you know what, rainbow is WAY more expensive than WF!! I love rainbow, but it's really cheaper at WF.

Hot Food bar is $7.99/lb, small soup is $3.99. Compared to Bristol Farm or Delissio, it's way cheaper and maybe better here.

They have great selection of shelf items, supporting local businesses, environmentally friendly, excellent quality produce (i.e. no moldy grapes or tasteless apples like in Safeway). Love the bulk items too, again, cheaper than rainbow after comparing several same brands at both places. Excellent meat, cheese, and seafood departments.

Bakery is a-ok, but they let you sample the cakes before you make your decision, which is extremely generous of them. It's embarrassing bringing a cake to a party, realizing it's not great while everyone's having it thinking the same thing.

If you are lucky, they sometimes do tons of samplings at lunch time, so you could easily stuff your tummy with freebies.

This is by far my favorite Whole Foods in the Bay Area.  There is plenty of space, parking and the food selection is phenomenal.  I've been to all other Whole Foods in SF, including the East Bay and the food at this location is so much more diverse.  Although, the 18th Street location comes close.  Also, they a lot of bulk, including spices, sauces, olive oil and more.
I choose going to this Whole Foods even though it is not the closest one to me but, it is so worth it.

Just as delightful and delicious as any other Whole Foods Market. Bright, colorful, and full of flavor.

This location is bigger than other San Francisco stores, which makes it perfect for larger grocery trips. Here you'll find plenty of isle space to shop and admire the well presented products. Some unique and interesting store features include:

** A large, complimentary parking garage.

** An extensive hot food bar. From Indian specialties to superior salads, there are plenty of pleasing options for any food fancy.

** A bountiful bulk isle. Flour, sugar, pastas, lentils, trail mix, and other treats - a cheaper option to get what you need if you only have few folks to feed.

** Sunny indoor cafe seating and coffee bar.

** Fabulous flower shop.

** Long, spacious isles of wonderful whole foods and interesting, organic products.

** Tremendous whole body section. Vitamins, Minerals, and beauty products.... OH MY! Don't miss the lotions, bath salts, and other products sold in BULK. Purchase the perfect amount for your beauty routine in a reusable whole food's canteen!

** Daily chair massage.... to ease the side effects from  paying for the pricey produce (worth every penny!).

After moving to San Francisco a year ago, Whole Foods had me at hello. Since then, their beautiful stores have nourished my body and soul. When I'm not working or playing in the city, you'll find me here..... happily smiling from ear to ear :)

The closest place that has Gypsy Cold Care tea.

Seriously. I called three other places, and no one carries this particular brand. But it rocks for when I'm starting feeling all ill, fixes me right up. (It's totally my cold response secret)

Good service and fast response to my call about their stock.

I'd come back.

My work is a block away and I come here almost every day for lunch. I get salads, sushi, sandwiches, or the hot bar plus a cookie, piece of fruit, or yogurt and I've loved everything I've had.

Minus 1 Star for prices, though :( My lunches are $12-15, which isn't a whole lot but which adds up each week :(

I wish there another market that would rival whole foods that was a slight less expensive. Whole Foods has gotten way too big. I say this only for the reasons posted: A week does not go by at this point when I don't buy something that has gone bad or is on the verge of going bad. Whole foods will sell products up to the day of it's expiration date.
Customer service offerers refunds. The real solution is to have people stay on top of the freshness of their products so when someone like me gets home and opens up the yogurt, it is not soured.
Time and time again. Humph

Whole Foods is a girl's dream come true, a girl that loves to cook and eat at least.

Fresh, organic produce. Great "butcher shop" and "fish market" with always the freshest meat, poultry, and seafood. Hot food bar. 365 organic everyday value product. Wide variety of wine and cheese. Acme bread. Just Desserts. Fresh cut flowers.

I can go on and on...

I do, however, advise everyone to stay away from the sushi. We got the Seven Seas combo, Tsunami Combo, and Crab Leg California. Minus 1 star for the hard and frozen rice and sliced paper thin fish. I could barely taste the fish. And thou shall never make sushi roll with brown rice (as in the Crab Leg California) for any reasons; it's just a crime against nature. The 3 small sushi tray set us back $29.25.

You can get anything at the food court. The salad bar's full of vegetarian and vegan items as well as heavenly dishes from any cuisine. Indian, Mexican, Chinese, yummy creamy salads and fresh fruits and fluffy baked goods galore. I especially liked the mac and cheese from the salad bar, they're not too salty like what you usually get in other salad bars.

My mom sampled this scrumptious organic cream yogurt with mixed berries in store and she was hooked. There was chocolate flavor too, which the lovely saleswoman heartily recommended, so try it if you see it.

So, I'm high maintenance and all, except that I like cold leftover pizza more than anything. But whole foods, your bathroom is kinda cramped. I couldn't close the door without being squished, so I had to stand on the toilet to close the door. No biggie, I still adore you. I just don't think I want to be that tight with toilets. Still, really, everybody is smiling in this store, happy to find you what you want. The store's gigantic and well organized, and you can sample anything from chips to juices and chocolates. Drop in during lunch and grab a container of fresh salad and any sandwich you want from the deli. You'll love it.

Only Whole Foods that I have been to where you enjoy the experiance going in...(the staff at the cheese bar, fish and meat counters are great ) only to have it ruined by the "tudeness-rudeness" of the cashiers on the way out. I'm not saying all are like that but a few need to go back to the stock room.

Whole Foods is just excellent for so many things, but this review is for the floral department, and more specifically for my bridal bouquet and maid of honor bouquet. They charge you for the cost of the flowers, not the labor, and they made me a beautiful, well put together, awesome bridal bouquet for my wedding!

Brandon took control, and gave me his suggestions and expressed every idea to me with such a positive tone and expression, that I was in heaven! Planning a wedding was no small feat, and there were so many decisions to be made, that I was relieved to have the pressure taken off me when i realized that he had brilliant ideas and a sense of creation in his own mind. I trusted him and just let him do his job, while I did my job (worrying about something else!).

When I came to pick up the bouquets on my wedding day, he was so excited to show me what he made and to top it all off, he wrote me a nice note wishing me a happy wedding day!

He told me that the sun was shining down on me for my wedding day, which it was!!! I just love letting go of the control when someone who has complete confidence in their art and knows what they're doing, and Brandon helped me give up my stress about my bouquet.

Oh, and it was about $55 for my bouquet, and about $40 for the Maid of Honor Bouquet. 2 corsages for the moms were about $20/each.

They were all gorgeous! Thank you!!

It's a clean and beautiful super market, but there's no way I can justify paying these prices for produce. I'm not sold on paying 300% markup because they tell me their tomatoes and peaches are organic.

I live around the corner and come here a lot.  I prefer organic and in general WF is the place to go.

But damn have any of you who've reviewed this place been to any other WF's to compare.

This place is sub par by any comparison.  I've been to newer larger WF in Scottsdale and most recently in Chicago and they are truly amazing.

My problem with this location is they've gotten lazy:

1. The food bar hasn't introduced a single new item in the year I've been going there. And i go there several times a week.

2. The cafe is always filthy. Can somebody clean off a table already? The microwave today was completely unuseable. it looked like there were stalagmites growing in it.

3. The variety is so limited compared to the other new WF i've been to.  Once you've seen the new stores you'll feel totally cheated at this one...believe me!!!!

4. Ever been there for breakfast on a weekend? Good grief. The hot food bar looks like the Folsom Prison cafeteria line. The eggs are stone cold. The sausage/bacon is cold and inedible. It's completely unattended. I give them props for giving me my money back when i went to return it at the cashier though.

This place needs an overhaul in the worst way.  I love WF....just not this  location. To be fair the people who work there are very friendly. It's just the other stuff that needs work.

If you shop here, you are condoning discrimination against those with disabilities.  About 2 1/2 months ago, I was berated for at least 5 min, out in the open by an employee in the cheese department about my service dog (who was in a bag and absolutely silent). She stated that the store was trying to get some rule to only allow seeing eye dogs. So in my case, losing parts of my brain, from reoccuring brain tumors does not provide me with a significant enough disability.

This tramatic experience upset enough to send my anxiety level into a talespin. I barely made it into my apartment before I had a full on seizure.

I wrote a note to the store manager, Gary Ramirez. It took him 3 weeks to write a pathetic apology. He also had to tell me that he was well versed with rules of the ADA (obviously he is not). I sent my complaint to their Regional office in Emeryville. I have yet to hear back from them.

Earlier this week, Good Morning America did a piece on service dogs for those with seizure disorders and servere nut allergies (among a few named), which the medical field (MD, not PhD) praised.

For a company that prides itself in customer service, their conduct and dismissiveness absolutely appalling. So if you continue to shop here with your service dog, you might want to poke an eye out or steer clear of the cheese department, becase having your animal's service tags is not sufficient.

produce - A+
fish counter - A+
meat counter - A+
Bakery - A+
Prepared Food Section - B+
Store Layout/ease of finding stuff - B-

I love Whole foods.  I love to cook and when I want to be able to find all the ingredients for making a quality meal in one place, I go to whole foods.  the fish counter and produce areas are where I frequent the most and they are absolutely beautiful.  The prepared foods section (pre-made sandwiches, buffets) are very good.  For made-to-order sandwiches, i was disappointed.  I had to repeat my order 3 times and  then noticed the woman still getting it wrong.  The layout can be a bit difficult sometimes as the aisles are narrow and the store is an odd shape, but with a bit of practice, i've figured out where everything is. :-)

In my journey to and fro Whole Foods, WF San Fran is okay.  Not stellar.  Not horrible.  I'll give you 4 stars for consistency.  I do appreciate the good selection of local, organic produce.  I love all your vegan cookies and raw desserts (probably a bit too much).  And the salad bar has filled my belly after long days at the HQ and at work conferences.

Yeah, I'm a fan because I'm loyal and I can count on you for a good healthy meal when I travel the earth.

It should be noted thought that I did, however, get the worst chair massage I've ever had there and it was $20 for 15 minutes when in the rest of the country folks charge $15.

HAPPY VEGAN DINING!

This review is for the bakery department at the Fourth street market.  The selection and prices are excellent.  As an example, I recently purchased a mini tiramisu cake for $9.99.  It served 4 generous portions and the flavor was exquisite and not too sweet.  The cakes are made onsite and many are vegan.  They also have a wonderful selection of pastries.

Whole Foods is evil, something about corporate something or another, Farmers markets something something, and something about my entire paycheck.

My ability to hear and process the charges levied against Whole Foods is hampered by the following two things I bought today:

Lagunitas Hop Stoopid in a bottle and a bouquet of thistles.

It's like Valentine's Day. In May!

But can anyone tell me why all of a sudden there are 3 security guards there (vs. the normal 1 to prevent shoplifting) and 1 of the 3 is FULLY ARMED....WITH A GUN.....glock on the hip.....standing next to front door?

What's up?   Should we shop elsewhere until they come down off of Condition Red?

I came here twice in one day. In the morning before Bay to Breakers and at the end of the day when I was done with B2B. In the morning, the staff was friendly and helpful. I picked up some bottled water, a couple Luna Bars (I hope they don't increase my estrogen levels), and a freshly made Mango Lassi. It was really good and it was a great way to consume a liquid breakfast.

By the way, the restrooms were super clean at 730 A.M. If you have ever been to a restroom at Safeway, which are usually disgusting, you will appreciate the restroom at this Whole Foods location.

I came back here in the afternoon when I was done with B2B and the staff was still friendly and helpful. They had a solid ice cream selection. Unfortunately, they miss the 5-star rating because they did not have Choco Tacos.

By the way, the restroom was still clean in the afternoon. After my experiences with Safeway restrooms that look as if they belong in Fight Club or Seven, I freakin' love the super clean, hands-free restroom here.

Eh.

Prepared food and produce sections are okay.

The rest?

Eh.

Especially compared to other Whole Foods stores I've seen (*cough*Austin*cough*Oakland*cough*).

However, it IS nice that this place is only a little over a half mile from Powell St. BART, plus you get to walk by Yerba Buena (and I'm not down there much, so it's a treat for me).

But otherwise . . . you know. Eh.

You can't go wrong with this Whole Foods Market.

1. The produce section is fresh, consistently well stocked and theres nothing you won't find here. If artichokes are in season, this is where to get them. Am a big fan of their box of salad mix that lasts for days and days without going bad. Gala Apples are juicy and just naturally sweet and crisp to bite into. Sweet Potatoes are great. Habaneros are HOT! HOT! HOT! Lemons and limes are all good.. albeit a bit big for organic. Herbs are fresh as well as packed into packets. Good and fresh cale, arugula, chard, leek and strong radishes.

2. The cheese and dairy section is to die for! I have to watch my dairy intake due to sinus issues but by God! I just bought this amazing Peruvian style goat cheese made in Bodega Bay and my salad dinners just got tastier!

3. The wine department is decent and I like the fact that they have the small bottles as well as the normal sized bottles. K&L two blocks down is the place to go if you're looking for wine.

4. The dessert section - hubba! hubba! 3 years straight and every Thanksgiving, Christmas and Birthday, I've gotten either their fruit tart, the key lime pie (SWOOON!) or the Black Forest cake. You have to try their little petite desserts that are perfect as a surprise gift for loved ones or a treat for your staff.

5. Breakfast section is healthy with good choices of oatmeal, hash browns, eggs, coffee, etc.

6. Their deli section serves up some pretty good deli meats and ready made meals.

7. The meat section IS expensive but you get really good meat for that price. Got a whole chicken last weekend and the guy gave me the recipe for brining the chicken, stuffing it with lemon and a home made spice mix, and baking it for two hours over a bed of croutons... it was the best meal ever!

7a. And I "like" fish but am clueless on how to cook it. Guy at the counter taught me how to steam fish in a steaming basket and serve it with some mustard, chinese broccoli and light soy sauce.

8. And don't forget to try their bulk area. The mixed tea, the trail mix, the fruit and nuts, rice and quinoa are all good.

9. Basically,  I do my produce and meat shopping here regularly. Wine, bubbly and dessert for special occasions. Salad bar for lunch. Coffee for breakfast and the toiletries and medicine aisle every now and then. Also great if you're in a hurry to go somewhere and want to grab a bit to eat.

10. Yes, they are expensive but I don't mind paying the high price for organic.

11. Oh! And best of all - the staff! So friendly, always helpful, approachable, always glad to give advice, always smiling and just nice!

12. They also have validated parking for their parking lot. Entrance is on Harrison street between 3rd and 4th.

13. Compared to WF in Portero and on California, I find this one to be laid out the best! Walk in and you have the deli section and hot food bar, to your right all the produce with dairy to its side, move on left of produce and you have meats, then alcohol, then packed goods, then toiletries.

I heart Whole Foods. . . but not this one.

The good:
hot foods section, fresh salads, parking lot, massage station, coupon for 5 bucks off a massage there, near to Epicenter Cafe, my new fav spot

The bad:
terrifying parking lot experience: small lanes, quick sharp turns and cars coming from every direction; and they sell Ostrich eggs-gross!

Why do we live? You know it's food, you can't deny it. Food, shelter, and clothing define lifestyle. So let's make an upgrade to most of the grocery stores in our life shall we?

Cost is not always associated with class. To truly be classy, we must forgive, forget, accept, admit and submit. But not necessarily conform. We learn what is best for us by trial and tribulation of what we deem worthy to us as consumable. We are human beings, we do not eat, we dine.

So what am I admitting to? That I like the salad bar because I can pile up on impulse driven scooping due to easy accessibility and instant gratification? Yes! Sometimes we don't have the time. But when we do... We can wash, chop, slice, dice, and serve our own for significantly less.

Actually, let me let you in on another secret. Here's a cool tip that I had acquired from my boss from work: Buy a bag of raw wheat germ (The cheaper one from red mill does just fine), buy flax seeds, and honey. (You can buy these elsewhere for cheaper, but it's not that bad) Mix in the flax seeds (sunflower seeds work too, taste better, but aren't as healthy) and the wheat germ in a small bowl, and then pour the honey in and let it all stick up by stirring with a stirring apparatus of some sort and make little clusters and what not. It makes for a pleasant snack that is quite the good blend of healthy and tasty.

Another cool thing is, I used to buy those O.N.E. coconut water beverages from work in the little boxes. This is one place where I can buy the big boxes and economize a little bit. If you want the real coconut with the meat, they have it too. But sometimes you just want the water itself.

I give it to whole foods for having these options, so that we may adapt. It has corporation written all over it, and the price margins must be quite steep in the long run, but who are we to judge? The only real escape would have prevented you from reading all of what I just wrote. If you can afford the time/money/both to eat well, then living well and dressing well is not far off.

It's a shame that groovy local markets are being competed out by the likes of Whole Foods.  But as corporate giants go, WF isn't so bad.  Not a lot of bargains to be had though!

A place where even the cheapest person (me) will spend $9 on an ounce of firm, aged Spanish Manchego cheese and not even feel that bad about it.

This is where I shop when I'm looking to impress somebody (boyfriend in the first few months, Nelson Mandela, boyfriend's mom, my Gram, the Dalai Lama, great-aunts, various heads of state) with my culinary prowess, but normal people will just have to make do with TJs until I am a millionaire for regular Whole Food's-level entertaining.

I really love whole foods. Quality foods and great selection of natural and organic foods.

I especially like this location because of its convenience for me on my way home if I ever drive in to work. Although it can get pretty pricey, I come here for more specialty items rather than a bulk load of groceries.

Staff is always nice and super helpful, especially in the cheese section!

Fresh food.
Amazing deli/salad bars (fill boxes full of yummy healthy food for $7 per lb).
Cheese samples.
Giant (and I mean GIANT) slabs of chocolate.
Fresh and delicious veggies.
Cute staff.
Kinda pricey.
$30 ostrich eggs.
Great cappuccinos.
Really fresh, delicious fish.

I approve.

Even now, I still don't know how I feel about Whole Foods.
Is it possible to have a relationship with someone for years and still not be sure?

I used to visit Whole Foods 5 days a week, 2-4 times day since it first opened years ago.   It was not because I could afford it or I was totally into it.  It was only because I used to work right next to it.

I would start my guilty affairs with WF at 8AM as soon as I was allowed in for a cup of their bitter coffee and pretty good pastries.

I usually skipped their lunches because it came to the point I could not stomach their salads anymore (nor I wanted to pay $20 for salad,) their bland soups, fresh but really expensive sushi, outrageously priced deli items. I kept on coming back for their seafood bar of ceviches until it got taken away.

At around 3PM, my co-workers and I would get bored, walk to WF and raid their cheese, fruit and cookie samples.

Then at around 6PM, I would go back and spend my hard-earned money at Whole Paycheck to get the vanilla rotisserie chicken, fresh salmon or halibut, grass-fed meat, cream-top milk in a glass jar, a loaf of bread, overpriced cheeses and snacks, sugar-deprived pastries,  good wine from extensive wine selection, and fresh olives, french soaps, etc

And everyday I scolded myself, "Drive your butt to Trader Joe's and avoid spending your Whole Paycheck at Whole Foods!" Yet, almost every weekday, I went back to Whole Foods.  It was an addiction and a vicious cycle.

When I got transferred and had no longer access to WF, I had WF withdrawals almost amounting to panic attacks.  Where I would I get dinner for me and Boyfriend from now on?!!!

I grudgingly admitted that I missed the convenience and comfort of Whole Foods. I also gradually found  out that anybody COULD  be replaced.  Now I shop at the Civic Center Farmer's Market for my organic veggies and tamales, on Mission street for my tortillas and pupusas, Trader Joe's, Costco and Berkeley Bowl for my meat, seafood, dishwashing soap, etc.

For now, Whole Foods is nothing but an occasional bathroom stop for me when Boyfriend and I are out and about.  "Go to Whole Foods, please!  I have to pee!."

My most unforgettable Whole Foods stories:

1. $48 mashed potatoes from the per pound deli one Thanksgiving day.  As soon as I weighed it, I set it on the counter and left it! The security guard was looking at me funny but nobody could intimidate me enough to make me pay almost $50 for a little deli box of mashed potatoes!

2. 3 apples for $10. My friend refused to pay for them and left the fruit with the cashier.

3. $10 for a parfait of yogurt and fruit which my friend was too embarrassed to return.  She scrapped the bottom of the cup to get her money's worth.

I stil want to thank you, Whole Foods for saving many dinners for years but I am also glad it is over.  A lot of your goodies are unique, of good quality  and worth spending some $$ for. But you are just too expensive.

If I won the lottery, i would renew my wedding vows in a lavish ceremony in the Santa Cruz Mountains, put a down payment for a house on Lombard Street, buy a hybrid and shop at wholefoods all day, everyday.

I like wholefoods but the prices are damn near outrageous.  Yes, they have good quality, yes they have organic, yes they have artisanal cheeses, yes they have a great wine section and yes they have a great deli and bakery.  Why can't their prices be more reasonable.  I love high quality ingredients, i just wish i could afford them at whole foods.  For now, I can only shop here sparingly, but I'm still hoping that my lucky lotto numbers will be picked.  :)

and here's something to ponder. I read recently that products need only 10 percent of "organic ingredients" to be labeled "organic".  hmmm......

I love Whole Foods and shop there regularly.  This particular W.F has one of the best buffet selections with a variety of options--anything from Indian to soul food.  I normally go to the Whole Food in Walnut Creek because I live in the East Bay now, but in my opinion there is no comparison, this one takes the cake.  Whenever I am in the city I visit this whole foods because I love the different types of food they offer. If you are in a hurry, don't feel like cooking or waiting for a table at a busy restaurant then this is a nice alternative.

I went to this Whole Foods twice. Ate lunch from the hot food bar both times. Bought other 'groceries' both times. Tried to return something (so that I wouldn't have to lug it onto the airplane back to DC) got lectured by Dale 1 time. And let me tell you, once was enough.

Eventhough this Whole Foods has something that my P Street, DC and Old Town, VA Whole Foods do not (which is free Wi-Fi), I think I'll try to find a different store on my next visit to San Francisco.

In the end, Dale accepted the return and refunded my money. But the lecture, aw geez, come ON man. Who do you think you are?  My father?

If I were Patti Stanger from the Millionaire Matchmaker (anybody? anybody besides me watch this show??), this is what I'd say about this Whole Foods:

Cucumbers in my sandwich? Okay sandwich section in Whole Foods, you can stay. Cucumbers are hot.

Prepared foods section, you too. I don't know what I'd do without you when I'm trying to get a quick lunch of chicken, greens, and mac n' cheese. It's so much harder to stay thin at my age with you around, but alrighty.

Drinks section? Eh. I really hate that I have to pay like $10 for some sort of exotic herbal iced tea from Fiji or something. We don't accept gold-diggers in this club. You can leave.

Cheeses? No, younger cheeses are not better. Don't be so shallow. Maybe the superficial attraction will be enough the first few bites, but after a while you will be ready to invest in a more pricey, mature offering. And trust me, there are some great, older cheeses here.

The check out people are cool too.
