We were fortunate to get a few days away in Cambria and stayed at the White Water Inn again. It was as wonderful as before with the added perk of WIFI in the room (though the connection would drop out after 10-15 minutes). We still didn't have cell service at the hotel but could find a minimal signal part way down our walk on the beach.
The continental breakfast was as yummy as ever. And we appreciated having the car windows cleaned each morning.
We hope to be back again next year.

This tiny cottage-style inn is one of several little bungalows that butts right up against the secluded coast of Moonstone Beach. In quiet repose, the inn exudes a subtle charm that is little seen throughout the majority of California coastal communities. It's more Hampton-esque, unlike the majority of coastal lodgings that have a grandeur that comes with the heavy mission style architecture prevalent throughout the area.
From personal experience, The White Water Inn is the perfect place to stay for a quiet romantic getaway, or for peace, solidarity, and reflection. I highly recommend this inn, and the services provided by the sweet, yet, unobtrusive staff.
Bonus: Delicious pastry and juice breakfast!

What a beautiful location and a terrible staff (even housekeeping looks like the have been tortured). The room was clean and the muffins simple, but tasy. Grounds are not conducive to relaxing unless you are in your room or across at the beach. We had a nice time as long as we didn't have to interact with the staff. They are just not helpful or friendly.
I had spoken to Carol on the phone and set a rate of $150.00 a night. My husband checked in the morning after we arrived (came from so cal and didn't arrive till almost midnight) Carol was nice enough to leave a key. He did not check the rate and when I saw the final bill on check out I noticed we had been charged $170.00. I went to office to clarify the amount and Julie was on and was extremely nasty and rude. She said she would not honor the rate and it was our problem.
We had encountered her the day before when looking for a movie to borrow and a resturant for dinner. Beyond sour, nasty. She was annoyed that we should bother her with questions. By Sunday morning though I had had it with the attitude. I let her know we would be reviewing the hotel and she said go right ahead the reviews didn"t matter.
Go, maybe, but make sure Carol is working and have her email a confimation with the rate. Any of the motels on Moonstone located just as nice and more conducive to realxing on the grounds.
We would not go back to that motel.
