"Live Free or Die" - the New Hampshire motto that we were greeted with right when we entered the state. Awesome right!? NOT AT THIS CAMPSITE! Freedom is strictly prohibited and instead arbitrary laws and intense park rangers can make a night of outdoor fun into feeling like you're being sent to the principal's office.
You see, this place is beautiful. Well situated. With nice toilets. What blows beyond belief about it is the arbitrary rule that only eight people can sleep at a site. Having nine people, you see, is completely out of the question. Not only did we have to purchase another camping site for one single person, but we had to deal with the rangers coming by THREE TIMES to count heads and patrol the area. I understand they were just doing their jobs, but the intensity of monitoring our actions was out of line. Keep in mind, we were a group of nine 25+ working professionals. Obviously, city folk aren't meant to "live free" up here.
Skip this place and go camping where you can actually feel like you're in the woods, and not infringing on somebody else's property..
