White Castle

Listen up I'm not going to get to crazy but here it is ... every time you're in Newark you NEED to do TWO things. First thing is make sure you lock your doors - car, house, apartment, whatever it is lock that up tight. And second you go to White Castle. And there you have it.

On to the review:
Place was a bit dirty. The staff was a bit short. There was a guy bumming change out front and a guy in a 90's Honda bumping rap with all his windows open. So yeah super Newark.

But the burgers were perfectly greasy and oniony with pickles in their little boxes. The buns were toasted and warm and delicious. The fries were hot and crispy and we smashed them all. It's like you know you shouldn't like it but because it's like a guilty pleasure.

Pro-tip: bring someone who's never been. It's something you need to try at least once. Twice is too much lol. I brought my middle son and his friend on this occasion and they were digging it.

This has got to be the worst White Castle I have ever been to. First off, it took over 10 minutes for me to get 4 sliders and a drink with NOBODY in front of me in the drive thru. After I pay and get my order, the employees walk away from the drive they window without giving me my credit card back. I patiently wait a minute or two and then honk my horn to catch their attention. The employees opens the window and seems bothered. She asks "what do you need?" And I responded "my card and a receipt"... that became story time amongst the employees until they finally found my card and returned it.

My food looked like someone made it blindfolded! Ketchup all over the boxes, the cheese was barely on the sandwich, and it was cold. I grew up on these burgers and this place always brings back good memories, but I think it's time to put White Castle behind me. If the employees are clearly a mess then it will ALWAYS reflect on the food.

fire everybody and get new management an hour in the line and only 3 cars in front of me.. like how?? nobody in there needs a job fr. they definitively don't act like they need it.

Be careful. The girl who filled my drink touched the top of the lid several times while securing it to the top of the cup without a glove. I literally threw out my drink after I drive away from the drive thru.

They are much faster than the other WC. Most of the time, my order (I use the app) is ready on arrival.

One consistent problem is that they ALWAYS get my order wrong. I always ask for EXTRA pickles and NO onion. Without fail, my burgers NEVER have pickles on them. Always check your order before you leave.

It's something to eat in a rush but has become very expensive... My biggest issue is they act like ketchup is a rare commodity... You ask for extra and the amount they put on is less then the size of a baby pea... Make sure you have a drink or you may choke on the dry burgers.

I know White Castle isn't known for their service but having some manners would be great. We came by to try their impossible sliders and were told they don't have any in the rudest possible way ever. We asked what the veggie slider was and they said veggies. Thanks for the description. The girl taking orders need some serious training.

Just plan you visit well because you will line as if you were at Newark DMV, these people move really slow no matter what day it is, and the food is mediocre for the time it takes you to get it

If you need a late night spot after a long drive or party this is a great place to go. Online ordering via the website is quick and easy. Only downside is the long line past midnight.

Got food poisoning! If you want diarrhea & vomiting all night, then order here. BAD BUSINESS - will never, ever order from here again!
