Whistle Stop of Afton

If you want it eat here you must have a reservation. The food is pricy and for my taste a little lacking in quality. I ordered the steak which I was told were great. Mine was tuff a grisly.

Not at all what I expected for a supposedly hi end steakhouse
Quality of meat is the key to success as well as preparation and side dishes. Taste is very important for return customers.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Greeneville! Always amazing food and service. Whenever I'm in town to visit family and they ask me to pick where we should go eat, I always pick Whistle Stop!

Meh. I felt as if the food was over priced and the owner was annoying. She kept interrupting us while we were trying to enjoy our meal. Like, we couldn't even carry on a conversation because she stopped by so many times. I get that it's a small place, but I came here for a date, not to talk with her. And for a $30/person meal, I would expect more choices than saltine crackers with cream cheese and bottled Pepsi. Try baking fresh bread. Maybe make some specialty drinks. The main course food wasn't bad-- it was pretty good. But it just wasn't worth the price. *Also, if you happen to take kids, there is not much of a kids menu; it's all greasy friend options.

In from Atlanta, having dinner with friends. The best chargrilled shrimp I have ever had. Service was fantastic, and the food never stopped. Super stuffed and satisfied.

The only negative comment is the former location was in Afton. This location is across from Tusculum.

I can't wait to come back!
