I love their steaks here.  As a matter of fact they have the only decent steaks in all of Kitsap county.

The atmosphere is great, though you tend to get very well acquainted with your neighbors as seating is very cramped.  I would not like to take a large group here unless you took over the whole resturant, it would be very crowded.

The prices are high but you do get a really good cut of beef here, can't talk about anything else on the menu because I only come here for their fantastic steaks!

I've been to Whiskey Creek Steakhouse a few times. I love the location because on the way there you pass lots of beautiful scenery.   Upon entering, the interior decorating is overwhelming- in a good way.   All the decorations on the wall and in the back dining area really make for a good atmosphere.  All times there I've had pretty good service, but it wasn't great.  The waitresses and waiters seemed to be pretty neutral towards us, but made a great effort to be cheerful and speedy.

Now the food is pricey. Very pricey (for me at least).  Usually a steak entree will set you back almost $30.  However, if this is a place you don't visit often, bring a lot of friends because it will be worth it.  The steaks are absolutely delicious. I've had a different one each time and each one was cooked exactly the way I requested.  They were so tasty that I didn't even use steak sauce. I am a person who dumps bottles of steak sauce onto my plate just for the  taste of A-1, and I can say it was no challenge refraining from that deliciously bad habit for these steaks.

Not only  are the steaks well made, but the sides were  also mouthwatering.  I usually am too full from a steak to eat a side afterward, but the taste of the sides really had me hooked.

In short, go here if you have the time, gas, and money.  However, don't come at around 4:00-4:30 or you will be waiting in a rather long line. It seems to be really busy at that time.

My fiance and I are addicted to this place. We are both steak lovers and they have the best around. They also extremely delicious chicken cord en blue. We have taken our children there and they waitresses just love them. The restaurant is very cozy and warm. The staff is awesome and I love the live music.

This is really the only choice for lunch off the base that's within walking distance (other than a tiny little deli).  It gets pretty full of employees and retirees meeting up for lunch during the weekdays.  It's definitely an interesting place to look around - very old time saloon feel to it.

The big draw for me is the big, juicy, totally bad for you burgers!  These are the type of burgers that drip when you pick them up so don't come if you're looking for health food.  I've also tried their chicken strips and salads but I didn't love them (nothing can live up to Red Robin chicken strips and my salad was pretty bare and bland).  My dad likes their fish and chips and a few other friends enjoy their sandwiches.

During lunch you place your order at the kitchen window and then pay at the bar but I think during dinner they actually have wait service.

Hands down, it is the best option for steak on The Pennisula.  Pricey?  Sure it is over $25ish for their biggest steaks or the Man Size chunk o' prime rib, but...that's what similar chunks of meat always seem to cost.  It is sure what it costs at Outback...and not nearly as tasty.

It's very crowded on Friday or Saturday nights, and last time I went, they didn't take reservations.  It usually doesn't bother me...I just order an Alaskan Amber anf the wife and listen to the bass and piano player.  The light live music add a clasy touch to the rough-hewn look.

I find the prime rib is the best deal,  and one the one ocation where I went with the seafood option(Halibut) it was quite tasty.

Someone else on here tried to compare this place to The Met.  I wouldn't go that far...but I can take my kids and parents to Whisky Creek, and know we are all going to fit in and have a nice time.

Being "city folk" I wasn't impressed when we pulled into this establishment while visiting family in Poulsbo. You'll find yourself asking "where's the restaurant?"

The food was actually better than expected. I've been in high class restaurants that couldn't cook my steak to temp.

The service left something to be desired, but I had a beer and some friends...all good.

Great atmosphere, and really close to my moms house.  They make GREAT drinks (Thanks Nessa) and the food is great.  Coming from the Bay Area where there are more restaurants than you can count, when visiting this area, its great to have a tasty place to eat that is comfortable and delicious.  Their steaks and burgers are tasty, oh and the tater skins too!  Oh, and how could I almost forget... their live music... is wonderful.  Go see it, youll enjoy!

This is by far the best steak offered on the Kitsap penninsula. The service is exceptional ,great attmosphere, and great food preparation and presentation. You won't find better steak in Kitsap . We visit here often . Only the Met is better. We will return and highly recomend it.

This is a destination restaurant. The atmosphere is like an old saloon, but clean and classy. The food is always delicious. I particularly love the garlic mashed potatoes. The filet mignon is wonderful and even the chicked dishes are great. They are busy on the weekends but well worth the wait.
