Wet N Wild waterpark isn't as big or as picturesque as the waterparks at Disney or SeaWorld. In fact, its location just on International Drive and lack of theming make it seem quite bare bones at times.
However, if you want thrills, this is the best place to come and get them in Orlando. With all their harnesses and restraints, roller coasters don't really make my heart rate rise at all these days. However, with water rides, where it's just you, your bathing suit, some plastic tubing, water and gravity, the drops, twists and turns can be terrifying.
The most terrifying drop in any park in Orlando is the Bomb Bay, where you stand inside a capsule and the operator opens the trapdoor in the floor and you drop virtually vertically down 8 storeys! It's among the most scary 'ride' experiences in my experience in the world
My next most favourite ride is the Storm where you get to experience what it's like to be flushed down a toilet bowl! There are the usual mix of water slides in all configurations for one or more riders and also a big rubber rung ride.
The most sedate rides - the wave pool and lazy river - are relatively small.
So if you're after adrenaline and sheer terror, head to Wet n Wild!

Wet N' Wild is uninspired, tacky, and ghetto! When driving past this park you can see past the black barred fences, into the park, and all you see are screaming, crying, fighting, annoying tweens who are rushing from slide to slide, being extremely rude.
I have received countless free tickets to this place and I always end up loosing them, forgetting about them, or giving them away. As a single young adult with single young adult friends, this place is like nails on a chalk board!
Sure it is cheap, but I much rather spend 30.00 on beer at the beach and walk away with a much better experience!
Give the tweens and teens their water park! If you are a young adult stay away at all costs!

The last time I was at Wet N' Wild, I was there for a Latin Festival and I had really good time there. There were DJ's playing music, people dancing. The Surf Lagoon's flowing water got pretty intense as the night went on, it's a good thing I had a tube or I might have not been able to make it out into the deeper waters. The people I went with and I had such a blast hanging out in it. There's no ride that I enjoyed more than another, waits were a little long, but unlike some roller coasters at theme parks, I felt the rush was much better on their water rides, especially the multi-person rides. I'm not sure how Wet N' Wild normally is when there's not a party going on there, but when there is a theme the place is jumping with life and fun.

Tons of Fun!
I hadn't been to Wet N' Wild in quite a few years but I went back this past weekend with the Husband for his birthday. It is super-cheap to get in if you're a FL resident ($30) and is a heck of a lot of fun. Sure, it's not the biggest place in town, but I could think of worse ways to kill an afternoon for $30. Seriously.
The Good:
Lots of things to do: There are plenty of high-quality rides to go on, including the signature Black Hole and the ultra-fun Mind Bender.
Price Perfect: Wet N Wild is probably the cheapest DECENT attraction in Orlando. I mean, there's stuff you can do for less than $30, but I wouldn't recommend it....
The Bad:
A Little on the Small side: Wet N Wild is a lot smaller than places like Blizzard Beach and Aquatica, and you can probably ride all the rides plus take a lengthy dip in the wave pool and lazy river in just a few short hours.
ZOMG Paying for Parking: $9! $9!!! And you STILL have to walk across the street? Ridiculous!
I really loved going back to Wet N' Wild, and I can defnitely say that it was just as fun as I remember!
Overall 8.8/10= Wet N Wonderful!

Wet N' Wild is one of the few parks you can go to for under 40 bucks and still have a great time. Granted, it is a water park and not necessarily a theme park, but it provides hours of fun. The park has enough slides, wave pools, and tubes to please everyone young and old.
I usually start out in the lazy river to get my feet wet (pun intended), and then head over to the bub-a-tub. The park has both great group rides and single rides, and single rides, and I would recommend trying out the knee-ski (when it is open). The price is nice - usually around $30 for Florida residents - and it is definitely a must see on any warm Orlando day.
I hadn't been to Wet N Wild in ages and went back last year with a friend. The park is basically the same, lots of water slides, most of them you're on an inner tube or mat, but there are a few where it's just you.
The wave pool is always fun, but I don't recommend venturing out to the deep end without a tube. It can get crowded, and if you don't have something to hold on to, kind of dangerous. Also, I didn't like their locker system... you get a key and a token, and it takes kind of long to get your stuff back.
It's definitely a fun place to spend a hot afternoon in Orlando.

This place use to be the HOT spot of Orlando that is until something better and bigger came to Orlando called Aquatic a million times better newer rides and better rides plus friendlier staff and better parking then at Wet n Wild were u have to park across the street and cross a busy road to get in to the park and the park it self is packed with to many British people who have never seen a day of sun before in there life. This park can get very busy with a long line to wait and most of the people that work there a okay but for the money and time u waist in line i rather go to a better water park like Aquatic or Disney's water parks, this place also needs and update they have only added one new ride recently and everything just looks old and like it can use a good make over.

I've loved this place ever since I started coming here as a kid. It costs so little to get in, especially as a Florida resident, and you get some of the most fun water rides you will ever experience. The Storm is my favorite ride, you charge down a 45 degree blue tunnel covered in steam to accelerate by use of a sharp turn into a giant bowl where you go around and around until you fall creatively into a drop pool that can be as deep as 7 feet. There is a current caused by the waterfall and the drop pool is deep so please do not ride if you cannot swim. They have an awesome wavepool that stays off for 8 minutes then on for 8 minutes and every time you'll get a different pattern/velocity of waves. If you're in for a real thrill, go on Der Stuka or the Bombay in the west side of the park; you stand in a rocket when the floor drops you 8 stories straight down. They have a wide array of family rides like the Surge and the Disco H20. It's a wild place to have fun and in the summers they are open till 11 PM on Friday's and Saturdays. I would come here just to play volleyball when I first moved to Central Florida. You can almost always find people to play with.
