Review from Bill S.
I have had breakfast and dinner here at least 10 times and it is always very good.
We stay at the Westgate and this place is super convenient. -

This was the worst dining experience my family has ever had regarding the quality of food. It started with the sour milk our children were served. You could smell that it was sour without even lifting it to your nose. The frothy top should have been a dead give away. I am not kidding!
Our salads were both limp, soggy and in desperate need of a spinner hydration basket. The squash soup was very good however I am wondering if they used the frothy milk to thicken it up.
The waiter was very nice and even agreed with our assessment of the salad and milk. He deducted these items from our bill but we were still not satisfied because we went out expecting a delicious meal, not a deal.
I would never dine here again!
Tonight we ate at the Prime steak house and it was fantastic!!!! -

Self fulfilling prophesy - having worked as a waiter in the past, I totally get that having a party with children and grandparent can be a challenge. There's always the possibility a meager tip. But blow off the table completely, mess up the order and guarantee the low expectations. The sad thing is the food was decent...
Avoid this place at all cost -

My friend and I stopped by this grill during our Ski Trip on the night we arrived at The Canyons. My expectations weren't very high because it is simply a grill at the ski resort but they certainly proved me wrong.
The first thing we tasted was their "garlic" bread. I put garlic in quotes because it's not your normal bread with garlic spread on it. It's bread baked with chunks of fresh garlic in it. The bread was very soft in the inside. Tasted like it was right out of the oven; simply delicious.
My friend ordered Duck Trio. I didn't read the menu too carefully so I was a bit surprised it was only seared. I've never tried eating raw duck so I wasn't sure what to expect but it was definitely tasty. The exterior has good flavor from the cooking and the raw interior preserved the original duck flavor. Together, it worked really well even though I am still not a fan of raw duck meat's texture.
I got Chicken Pesto Pasta for the night. The pasta itself was solid. The meat was very tender. Then as soon as I got to the fresh tomatoes in the plate, I immediately became a fan. I am a huge sun dried tomato fan because of the slight sourness mixed with the strong tomato flavor. This tasted just like sun dried tomato except it's fresh.
The waitress was friendly and the service was good. I had my white Pentax K-x camera with me which caught her eyes so we even chatted a little.
Price wise, it's definitely good for a good restaurant at a resort. Dinner entrees are 18-35. Lunch is about 8-12.
(shortening the following since I doubt anyone would read this much :P)
We went back for lunch the next day because the prices are cheaper than the restaurants on the slopes or at the lodges and you get more and better quality food. I had their polled pork sandwich. I highly recommend it. Then we went back for dinner on the last night of stay and had their fresh seared tuna and crab cake. The crab cake was delicious. While I liked the tuna, I thought the rest of the stuff on the plate could be better. Unfortunately I did not have my camera for these two visits. -

Came for breakfast and it was terrible. Go to Sundial Lodge or eat up on the mountain if you can.
First, the yogurt was outdated--the "consume by" date was a week past and when I raised this to the waitress she just said that oh well, some of them should be good. Without a flinch!
There was a guy when asked questions said "it's my first day, I don't know"--he said this two days in a row. Yes he was a fool for repeating that two days in a row but I was a fool to think that maybe the second day would be better.
Ordered the buffet once (with the spoiled yogurt) and the pancakes once. And while the pancakes actually tasted pretty good, it took over 20 minutes to finish. This is after the server said "oh no, we're pretty fast don't worry". We took it to go so we could get on the mountain.
And on top of that they aren't friendly.
I would say if you're looking for an easy breakfast, just go across the way to Sundial Lodge and get a chocolate croissant or something---they're friendly and the food is good and it's fast.
I wish I could say the Westgate Grill was better, since it was convenient, but alas, I hope to never have to eat there again. -

Limited breakfast menu, they charge a nominal village "assessment" fee and service is inconsistent. Food is good, not great, but good.

I've been there a bunch of times for lunch now. I remember they had split pea soup that was really good one of the days. Overall, it's a decent grill joint. The rib sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich were good. I was not impressed with the tuna sandwich.

This was a fairly nice hotel grill but several things were missing. We had our young children and it was apparent from the beginning that we were an anomaly. The waitress seemed flustered that we even brought them. Our son fell out of the booster seat several times (the chairs are narrow and not really equipped for booster seats). Worse, there is no juice on the menu. No apple juice?
Aside from the anit-family feel, the food was mediocre, especially considering the price. $21 for a small salmon and a potato. I ordered a burger for $18 and it was worse than something I could have gotten for 1/3 the price at Carl's Jr. The fries were soggy and the meat was tasteless. -

This was my first dining experience in Park City for the '11 ski season. I went here for lunch and it was very quiet, hardly anyone was there. I was there at about 12:30 and it wasn't until 15 minutes later that skiers started to file in. But, like I said, not many people were there. A nice atmosphere and our waitress was very accommodating. I got a grilled tuna sandwich and it was delicious! It was my first time having tuna, but I was impressed; pink in the middle, and I think that's a good thing. Regardless, it was awesome. The bread it was served on was nice and buttery, thick slices of bread served toasted on the outside and soft in the middle. Absolutely perfect. The roasted red peppers in the sandwich added a very nice taste. I got a side salad with my meal, which was basic. Croutons, iceberg, tomatoes, and cucumbers; I had a nice vinaigrette with it. I also had a latte with skim milk and that was good, not as warm as I would have liked, but still good. The other person in my party had some sort of short rib grilled cheese. He definitely enjoyed it, it was very meaty. I had a bite, but I wasn't impressed. Although, keep in mind I do not like red meat. It was served on the same nice bread my sandwich was. We got a BLT to go for someone else I was with. She immensely enjoyed it and the fries it came with were superb! Garlic Parmesan, I think. So overall, this was an awesome first impression of Park City dining.

I had a great afternoon here on the patio drinking beers and eating after a day of skiing. Now that Doc's is gone, there isn't a place to eat with simple food and beers. We just wanted fries or nachos, not a gourmet meal at that time of day and we couldn't find that anywhere! Westgate grill was great - not crowded, great patio, good beer selection, tasty food - short rib grilled cheese, fries, burgers, salads - it was just what we were looking for.
