Man, I've come here since I was a kid. It wouldn't be the "Bayshore Mall" without

What a dump! They only redeeming value is that theres a Lord & Taylor (that i worked at for 4 days as a poor college student).
Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 6 miles and go to the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa. Theres better stores and the "crowd" is more tolerable. -

Ever since they closed the arcade, this has been going downhill...kind of sad really. Buffalo Wild Wings is supposed to open up in the old arcade/FYE (For Your Entertainment) area.
There are a couple of vacant store fronts (not many) which are signs of the crappy economic times, but actually seeing them in a mall is kind of depressing.

I guess if you live in the area I guess this is a place to shop. I was on my way back from somewhere else and we decided to stop here and check it out. Macy's was not bad but the air conditioning was broken - so it wasn't the greatest shopping experience. It was slightly run down - but huige and had more of a selection than I have seen at any other Macy's anywhere. And the staff were all nice at this store too - really helpful and friendly - so that is a plus. My friend had a coupon and everything was on sale - so we did get stuff!
JCPenny was also OK. I bought some pants that were on sale 50% off - but the store was not amazing.
Did not hit Lord and Taylor...
The rest of the mall is pretty crappy. Not much to choose from and not much selection. The mall was a tad bit seedy and rundown - not overtly so - just a bit. And there were also a lot of people with kids - lots and lots of kids - and strollers everywhere.
I can not say that I will be back - not just because it is far from me - but it probably wouldn't be worth the trip if it was close either... unless I needed something just from Macy's I guess. I will give it three stars based on the cool stuff we scored at Macy's and because the staff were nice. -

Bay Shore, NY
Being a shopaholic and a Macy' fanatic and living only 5 minutes from the southshore mall what a bummer what a letdown to have Macy's be so drab, so depressing so lacking of the latest greatest fashions I must see must have. Close this store or call it Macy's Dollar. Get some style Get some decent selections or GET LOST.

Bay Shore, NY
I'm not a mall-a-holic; I go when I need something.
I'd rather avoid malls altogether, if I could.
this mall has stores
it is clean
I can geneerally find what I need
have not encountered many unpleasant people
I like that it has Julios Tailoring
so I can drop off/pick up my clothes till 9:30PM at night
(though the quality of their tailoring services are a whole other matter)
granted, this mall doesn't have quite the amount of fun stores as the Sunrise Mall
all.in.all a pleasant shopping experience. -

Islip, NY
Ahhh, the South Shore mall. The mecca for all teenagers in the town of Islip who have nothing better to do with their time. Besides the throngs of brats that hang out there, it's a pretty decent mall. It's not as big as Smithhaven, but there's a good array of shops, so you can pretty much find anything here. The parking kind of stinks, especially during the holidays.

Peconic, NY
It is an OK Mall, and why it has a Lord and Taylor is beyond me.
However the Macy's is a dump, and clearly not a store that Macy's cares much about. The tarp over leaking ceiling tiles adds such a macbre touch! For a good mall head over to Smith Haven on the North Shore, it also has a much better maintained, and stocked Macy's.
If you are looking for clothing, and the like, head east to the small Macy's in Hampton Bays. -

Suffolk, NY
I've gone to this mall since it had the food court where it was all wooden and very small and pleasant. Now it's crowded and loud and annoying with stupid kids gettin out of school at 4pm. Anyway, it's ok, i usually go to Spencers, Pretzel time, Lord N Taylor, Pet company, some of the stores in the middle are ok too. It seems pretty clean on the inside, the game room isnt like it used to be, they need to bring back the games they used to have, like the Jurassic Park game where they shoot them and stuff. Just sayin. Anyway it's ok. The food court is humungous now and loud, hard to find a place to sit, gets overwhelming. Parking sucks allot of the time, i like going the earliest i can to avoid the people.
