we needed a proper baseball field to hold practice on. one that wasn't filled with a bunch of other people playing soccer, playing ultimate frisbee... or dogs running around. this place is HUGE. with 3 diamonds & still space for people to play on, i think we found our ideal practice spot. it's a hidden gem in the outer sunset. when people hear where it is, they're weary of making the trek out. without a doubt, it's worth it.

i wasn't sure if i was going to write this review in the first place, since letting other people know about one of my favorite sporting grounds could lead to all of the above occurring & thereby causing me to find a new spot. i'll take my chances.

One of the better natural fields that you'll find in the city. I love playing soccer down at West Sunset . The soccer pitch can be cold and gray like any day in the "Everyday is like Sunday" Outer Sunset/Parkside district, but it also affords great Pacific and Headland views on those few and precious clear days.

SF Parks and Rec provides 4 full-sized goals with nets. And the fields usually get crowded on the weekends due to league games and various team training activities. There are also two baseball diamonds on the lower fields above 41st Ave. Game on!
