I've been coming here for years. Great pizza, salad, and especially the garlic rolls ($3 for large order). I crave these things. They remind me of teeny little bagels that live in garlic and oil, swimming happily until I eat them.
Good thin crust pizza. Very thin. Standard variety of toppings. Actually, pretty old-school in general.
Service is prompt, correct, and nice. When I went earlier this year, our waiter was really funny making jokes and being friendly with my grandparents (in their 80s), which I thought was really nice.
Definitely a consistently good slice of pie here. Have tried some of their house specialties as well as coming up with our own. They don't try to go the cheap route by using ham on the Hawaiian either - that's some tasty Canadian Bacon!
Prices seem on par for Marin (aka a lil more expensive that you'd like). Delivery is crazy fast too.
Crust was soft and thick, but not enough sauce and cheese. The price as right for the pizza. Have to give it an average rating.
The West Brooklyn Combo is my kind of NY pizza: YUMMY.
It comes with "the works" & don't be afraid to say or shout, "Yes!", when you're asked if you want anchovies & extra garlic. (The anchovies are super salty though, so make sure you're in the mood.)
These pizzas are just as scrumptious delivered as they are dine-in.
West Brooklyn Pizza is one of the best in our area. We order from there 95% of the time, and are never disappointed. Our only constant tweak to the pizza is asking for a bit more sauce. Sometimes we're hard pressed to find the sauce on the pizza. This is probably done to avoid a soggy crust on their thin-crusted marvels, but we like more -- what can I say?!
While we got tired of Amici's (can be greasy and overpriced) and don't order from that other well-known place in town after the news article on their repeated health code violations (cockroach with your order, ma'am?), we're very happy with West Brooklyn Pizza's tastiness, consistent quality, speedy delivery, and the regular availability of coupons in mailers, etc.
I like their Pizza. Last night I went and ordered two of the Ex-large for one of my club functions. They put all the great stuff on the pizza and cut it up just the way I wanted. Small pieces for many people to enjoy. Very nice service. The crust is tasty and the meat and veggies were fresh. Also... I used my Express Savings card and got one Pizza free.... They will deliver too
Delish pizza. I love the Sicilian style...very filling. Awesome ranch too-and they always deliver in a timely fashion.
Best pizza delivery option that I have experienced in San Rafael.
Really really tasty NY pizza. The servers are great. There's always something entertaining playing on the overhead TV. It's a pretty quiet place, so you can have a regular conversation with out raising your voice.
Good Eats!
I had a pizza here the other day and I would say it is about average. A little undercooked.....nothing special here.
Amazing food and half the price, I recomend everyone try this place
1/2 Sicilian, extra cheese, peperoni, and basil. $18 for 8 slices delivered to your door, each big fatty deep-dish slice = 1 day of lunch at work, =$2.25 per lunch, feeling full and satisfied. can't complain with that.
GOOD PIZZA. Been part of my diet since I was in the 2nd grade.
I order the hot Italian sandwich - very yummy and the delivery was quick. The lady I spoke to on the phone was so pleasant. Next time I will be trying the pizza....
FINALLY!
New York style pizza that actually looks (and tastes) like the stuff you get in New York City. You know, thin chewy crust, some tomato sauce, a thin flat layer of cheese, the big slices doing a doing a 90 degree flop on the way to your mouth.
It's a little out of the way for most of you probably, but right on the way to Fairfax if you're taking the shortcut. They also deliver. And the guy is nice. And the beer is cheap - I think my bottle of Anchor Steam was under $3.
I got the extra large (thin crust of course though they offer Sicilian) cheese for only $16.50. What a bargain!
Being from NY, I wouldn't exactly call this "New York-style" pizza, but I guess if you have a lot of NY memorabilia around your restaurant, those not from NY will think it's legit. It's not, but it also isnt' bad. It's quite tastey. And you can order by the slice, which is pretty rare in Marin.
I was not expecting anything from the salad, but it too was surprisingly good (although, IMHO, they could cut out about 75% of the garlic used in the dressing and it would still have flavor.) This is a good place for a late meal when everything else is closed in Marin, or a quick dinner after a long day.
Whenever we have office parties, we always order West Brooklyn Pizza and it's been great.
So once my husband and I were passing by and decided to get two large pizza for home. I was really disapointed. The pizza did not taste at all as it did when it was delivered to the office. It wasn't even really cooked. The artichokes were cold, which just means they threw it on at the end.
I just don't know what happened. It wasn't like we were in a hurry or they were busy. I might try it again, but that just turned me off.
Great slice of ny style pie. They also have a sicilian style thick crust, which looks fantastic.
UPDATE
=========
Ok, tried the sicilian... not so good. stick with the thin crust.
We had two beers and a mushroom garlic cheese thin crust pie. It came to $18. Good quality pizza, cold beer. I went back yesterday and had two slices of the same (I'm adventurous) for $6.50. Great deal compared to Amicis, who also does a good pie. Just wish it was closer to town instead of options like Extreme Bread and Red Boy Bread.
Awesome Pizza at a great price. There delivery is super speedy too!
Well I kind of like this place sometimes and then other times not so good they tend to undercook there pizza ...I did go here 2 weeks ago for lunch and it was really good ...So Uhh 3 stars...They are pretty friendly though and you can get a pitcher of beer
Average pizza. Nothing special. I had the West Brooklyn Combo (Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Green Peppers, Olives, Onions, and Anchovies.)
Alright so I have never actually gotten pizza here before... but I give the 5 stars because their garlic rolls are AMAZING!!!! They are cheap too, like 2.50 for a small bag that comes in (I think) a dozen small garlic rolls smothered in oil and garlic. My mouth waters just thinking about it. Seriously, if garlic rolls are your thing, definitely come here. SO GOOD
Wonderul pizza, and their pasta's are great too! Service is always great! love this place and kid friendly
I love this place! I worked down the street for a little while and stopped by at least every other weekend... you know, pizza is delicious, but not the greatest thing to eat on a regular basis. Anyway, West Brooklyn Pizza Co takes pizza to another level!, seriously. I always got a slice Neopolitan (thin) crust pizza usually with fresh tomatoes and garlic (which is complimentary) but anything I ever ordered was fantastic. And the salads are nice, too. I must note that I never actually ate in, always got it to go, so I can't review the service. But the place is tiny, very cozy with photos of early-century NYC on the walls, and appears to be run by a family from, well... Brooklyn. Except there's a couple of servers there who have Italian accents, who I think may be family from the old country .... okay, my imagination may be getting away with me here. My only complaint is that it is, sadly, in San Rafael. I may make a special trip sometime just for the pizza though. For real.
Received a fax promotion from them today, so after last having gone there 15 years ago, I gave it a try at lunch. I called in my "for here" order, so maybe that confused them, but the service was really bad. I waited a long time despite calling in, the waiter never acknowledged my presence (there were only two other customers when I arrived), the cook forgot to put tomatoes in my sandwich and huffed about that once reminded before plopping them on top of the sandwich and in general, I felt I could have gotten better service at Wendy's just up the road. Service is not everything - especially at a pizza joint - but the meatball sandwich was average, at best. Tomato sauce was overcooked and the meatballs certainly didn't do Brooklyn proud. Only saving grace was the guy at the cashier, who gave me 10% off, which I promptly gave back as part of the tip. Only due to his actions at the end will I possibly return if I happen to be right in the area and really want pizza. Otherwise, I'll take my chances at Wendy's next time.
delicious. definitely reminds me of the east coast pizza from my childhood. do yourself a favor and try a pie with sausage.
