Oh yeah! Can I get an Amen. Today is my birthday and I chose this place for my brunch. So expectations were high - the birthday girl wasn't. That is why I can say with a clear head that this place is the bomb. I would definitely recommend it. I got scrambled eggs and sausage. The decision to be made was do I want 4 sausage links or a sausage patty. One sausage patty or 4 links. I took door number two and got the sausage patty. When my plate - excuse me platter came I had scrambled eggs - 2 toasts sliced and buttered (that equals 4 halves of toast) - hash browns that covered a good portion of my plate and my sausage patty which resembled the size of a hamburger. My kids had different variations of biscuits and gravy. While I like biscuits and I like gravy I rarely order this - I grew up on shit (pardon my language) on a shingle and so I've seen enough gravy in my time. My son thought the gravy was too thin my daughter must have liked her dish because she had already planned to bring her boyfriend here by the time we were walking out the door.
The lights are kind of bright but Wendy has done a nice job making the place feel comfortable. You can sit at a table or up at a bar stool.
I too noticed a little of Wendy's shortness - so I would recommend that you be kind of ready when she comes to take your order. Her attitude didn't bother me it looked like she was waiting on everyone. It was around 11 when we got there so she had already been open for about 3-4 hours. Her great meals will help you forget any abruptness. There also seemed to be a steady stream of people coming in. Don't wait for her to seat you just find a place and sit your butt down. She was quick on replenishing coffee and my daughter had chocolate milk (some kids never grow up - thank goodness) and it was chocolate syrup mixed in with milk. I liked the idea of the syrup in the milk reminded me of the spur of the moment chocolate milks I made for my daughter when she was young and come on we all know cows don't give chocolate milk. Hellllooooo. At any rate go try this place I don't think you'll be disappointed. They are only open until 2 pm on the weekends and 3 pm on the weekdays. Fridays special is Crabby Sandwich - yummy sounds good to me.

to go order and a parade

what we ordered to go: Denver omelette and biscuits and gravy

called our order in to a lady, must have been a bit too early for her in the morning or she was super busy as she was short, didnt have a special of the day or recommendation for me. blah...must be this Everett vibe I have to get used to, similar to "dont care about you, get out of my way" New York vibe

the denver omelette was good, very good

the B&G was boring, tasted canned and bland. I really didnt see anything special here with the meal at all and only got through half of it.

price was good, comparable to quality of food served
presentation was put off as it was take out
cleanliness of establishment could not be determined, take out
bathrooms, no idea we did take out
service, well from the phone call i made i am not impressed and will be expecting much more if we go in to enjoy Wendys

I am really waiting for Everett to impress me here, Karls let me down, Scuttlebutt was a wash till i started going in there as a regular that the service woke up to me and started actually caring, Wendys is not impressive, the saving Grace of Everett so far is Brooklyn Bros Pizzeria. Come on Everett! where is your food spirit?

This is your typical breakfast fare.  All the food was perfectly prepared.  Don't expect anything original here.  Just egg and meat plates, omelets, biscuits and gravy!  Also pancakes and waffles but they only serve these till 11am.  I had the 3 egg, sausage patty, hash browns and toast plate.  My son had oatmeal which was served with brown sugar, milk and raisins.  My hubby had the toast, eggs, and has browns.  Every thing was really tasty.  The coffee was good and served in a really big mug.  The waitress was attentive and quick with the coffee refills.  I would definitely go back.  Maybe a little earlier so we could have the pancakes.

Thank you Yelp! This morning...we were wanting something different, somewhere we hadn't tried yet, for breakfast, somewhere that actually served breakfast (which, to our surprise, so far, has been a tough thing to find).

When we first sat down and grabbed a menu, the top of the menu said "Best Breakfast in Everett." I immediately though, "Yea, we'll see...kinda presumptious." Oh man...I gotta tell you...it sure does live up to that simple sentence! I am stuffed to the gills with some of the best downhome cooking this side of the Rockies. (well, at least so far that we have found)

I tell ya' what...if you want good food...Wendy has got your number! I had the Cafe Scramble, the hubby had the Chicken Fried Steak, and our little man had the cheeseburger. I got to try all three and I must say...there wasn't a bad bite on the table. Not kid "Friendly" (ie: no kids menu) but kid accomodating. Oww...and they serve breakfast all day...well at least until 2pm...cuz they are only open until 2...but they are open 7 days a week.

If it weren't for the current food induced coma I am experiecing...I would elaborate more...but man...it was so good! The portions are very nice size, the price is incredibly reasonable for the quality...and the two people running the place...well...all I can say is "Welcome home!" I am going to go take a quick nap now...full belly...mmmm...sleepy.....mmmmm....so gooooooood!!!

We walked here on a Saturday morning for brunch. Almost all the tables were full, but we sat down right away and only a few people who walked in after us had to wait for a seat.

I had a half order of the special scramble -- eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, onion, mushrooms and hash browns all topped with cheese. If you don't want a ton of leftovers, I definitely recommend the half order. It still filled a whole plate, with some toast on the side. My husband had the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits weren't anything special and the gravy didn't appear to have any sausage in it.

We both left full and without too much of a hit to our wallet. It's great to have someplace like this when you just want simple, comfort food close to home. I also like that Wendy's is a friendly, local business. I'll be back.

The second I walked through the door I was pleasantly surprised and knew (hoped) I was in for a treat!  I was not disappointed...the location doesn't look like much from the outside, but this place is cute as a bug's ear!  And my burger and homemade fries, that's right, fries made by Wendy herself, who also was my waitress, were delicious!  I cannot wait to come back here for breakfast, I know I will not be disappointed.  It's tiny, and it's only Wendy and one other person working here, so your food may not come super fast, but your patience will be rewarded - plus they bring your drink in a cute little mason jar!

What a great little comfort food find!  Off the beaten path of downtown Everett but yet a couple blocks over from the new convention center. This tiny spot is as "Grandma's kitchen" as it comes.  The owner Wendy has transformed this old run down cafe (seats about 30)  in to a clean, cute, country, welcoming spot.  I was lucky enough to stumble in this place on a Friday , which has crab burgers as the special.  It was WONDERFUL! Not to mention the big heaping pile of home made fries.  I was so impressed with this new hot spot that the very next day I loaded up the Hubs and drug him down there for lunch.  This time we had the Swiss Dip and Steak Sandwich.  Both were  very good.  Beef perfectly done, smothered in grilled onions and cheese.
There was a large group having breakfast when we walked in and what they were having all looked really good.
Wendy also has a full Espresso bar for coffee drinks, homemade soups, pies, milk shakes and desserts.  I haven't got to try them yet but from the other items I have had I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
This will certianly be on my lists of places to dine.
Down side to this new hot spot............it's just a matter of time before we all have to wait outside in line for seat!
