Small? It's five of God's green acres of nursery.
Yes, maybe it is a bit more expensive than a big-box retailer but it's a pleasant shopping experience (except the ill-behaved Bellevue children who need to be told NO once in a while). A big variety of plants (not much in the way of inside plants, though). Helpful and plenty of staff.
If you want geraniums or pansies probably best to go to Fred Meyer; they'll have a better selection at better prices. But if you're looking for something not quite so ubiquitous, head over the bridge to Wells-Medina.
They're good at anticipating busy days and have valet parking to take care of you.
WOW. I really love the service & selection here!!! Liven your home up with fresh, lush plants. This place ROCKS!!!! People are knowledgeable and tasteful. They even helped me make my indoor pool feel less indoor!!!
This is the place if you're looking for good sized trees, especially Japanese maples -- they have the widest selection around. The nursery is smallish but large enough to be interesting. All of the plants look very well cared for and the choices are uncommon enough to please even extreme gardeners. Prices are surprisingly okay (okay, maybe on the high side but no more than Swanson's), considering the location and quality of plant material. Staff can be very helpful and knowledgeable. They don't have seasonal sales, but occasionally have events to promote and celebrate pots, fall colors, etc.
Tiny and not cheap, but I love it because they have unique colors and varieties of your typical plants, with some rare ones thrown in. Everything is watered and well cared for. It's tough to get a cart around the plants, but it's so small you can stroll while leaving your cart in one spot. Load out is a breeze since your car is steps away from the cashier. Friendly staff is close by. A good alternative to Molbaks when you are short on time and want to dash in and out.
