FYI!!! Welliver's has the snow crab back on Fridays again! Did you know they are also venturing into catering! Also, if you haven't visited for a while, the desserts are all home made!
It's been a long time since I've been here, but it is one of my favorites.
To be honest I don't like smorgasbord style food. This place is the one and only exception.
Welliver's has been my favorite restaurant since I was probably seven years old (I'm 26 now). Hardly anything's changed, from the owners to the signage to the decor to the delicious comfort food kept warm under the glow of the red lamps. The onion soup, the meatballs, the chicken noodles, the cinnamon bread with the do-it-yourself icing... I've heard the dining room food is great as well, but I've never been able to tear myself away from the smorgasboard. My wedding reception was even held in one of their closed-off private dining rooms.
Reservations can only be made for parties of 25 or more.
The price is a little steep (I believe it's $19 per adult now), but it's all-you-can-eat and so worth it!
