Great massage, very friendly staff. For this being my second massage ever, I really can't compare it to any other experience. I loved the oils they used, the temperature-controlled bed, the mood music and the option to share it with your significant other.
One negative is the forced gratuity on the bill. If people do not know how to tip, that's their fault. Please don't force me to leave you a tip.
I got my first massage here, and I just did neck/back/shoulders. The massage was great, and the therapist was friendly and she made it not so awkward. However, I didn't really know what to do, in terms of getting undressed and how to lay, so that was a bit embarrassing. She handled it well, though.
I was very impressed with the waiting room, with the lighting, decor, and the chilled fruit water available to drink. Very refreshing! The massage room itself was relaxing as well, and they had all the things you could need to get ready for your massage.
Complaints are that I felt a bit rushed in and out. I was only there for a half-hour massage, and for some reason didn't shower afterward (I was sort of encouraged not to?). Maybe this is just how massages go, but it felt amazing while it was being done, but afterward I didn't really feel any different, which was a bit disappointing. And I was oily. Those things could be my fault though.
I can never seem to find the time for a massage in Chicago. Hence the extreme need for one during a weekend getaway to Milwaukee. My bf and I stayed at the Pfister so the WELL Spa was the natural choice. It's relaxing the moment you walk in the doors. The lighting, the music, the furniture...everything is just right.
We filled out short questionnaires about our massage preferences and were quickly escorted into our couples suite. One of the therapists explained the fairly complicated shower while the other one prepared the room.
We chose meditation music, which turned out to be perfect. Everything about the experience was top notch. The therapists asked the right questions and seemed to hit all the right spots. The tables were heated, which felt amazing. I think I could have stayed in there and slept all night.
The prices actually seemed very reasonable for two 60-minute massages. We will likely come back here next time we are in Milwaukee. But we'll probably stay at a different hotel!
I'd give this place 10 stars if I could....!
Every year for my birthday I get a massage. I noticed that I've been going to a different place every year and I think I know why. I haven't found a favorite, until now! This place is amazing.
Service is outstanding, the massage was incredible and the room was amazing.
After checking in with the nice woman at the front desk, I was taken to a spa suite. It was big... with massage table and then a separate room with a bathroom w/sink, walk in sauna/shower and all the stuff on the counter for you go get ready. It was a bit complicated to use the walk in sauna/shower combo even after the instructions from the therapist (water comes out of the walls/ceiling and there's a handheld shower head so it's many levers!).
Then massage time, I get onto the massage table which was heated! I've never been on one like that before. It was so cozy. For this visit, I choose my favorite treatment for winter - hot rocks. This is where you are massaged with heated river rocks. The therapist was amazing. One of those that likes to move you around a bit to get the best massage in the muscles. It was perfect.
They have wonderful essential oils filling the room and as I was wondering towards the end how I would wake up she gently had me smell an awakening scent which was nice. Oh, and about the scents and sounds... at check in you fill out a questionare listing the things you like, including the music. I didn't realize this and wish I did but they even offer to play music from your own ipod. Next time I'm bringing my ipod, that will be cool!
Prices are a bit on the higher end, but it's similar to that of Neroli which I used to go to but the service and amenities here are much nicer. I cannot wait to go back!
Great spa!
Massages and body treatments are awesome!
But for the Pfister the level of exclusivity here isn't up to par on some services...I book treatments for clients around Milwaukee and this place doesn't come up as often on their booking wish lists as others.
Well Spa is one of the best however for a massage...so if that's all your looking for I'd highly recommend it.
Friendly staff, great massage rooms with some of the best showers inside. so relaxing!! I always recieve good service here, but I'm not crazy about the hair and mani/pedi rooms joined together. When I go to get my nails done, I want a relaxing time, not the sound of hair dryers and hair chopping right in front of me. However, the look of the place is otherwise great for Milwaukee!
