Well opened this past week, and totally defies all the yelp categories: it's a store, a gallery and a healing space.
Ground zero for handmade goods like wallets, jewelry, silk screened ties and hoodies, art and toys, art shows, Reiki healing arts, knits, so much in such a tiny space!! The overall effect is one of deliciousness and abundance and friendly community. Riquelle is the most charming owner and creator, and knows freaking everyone. -

Although this store/art gallery has much to offer, I wouldn't advise going during Oakland Murmur. This place isn't that big. If there's more than five people in the entire space it will feel cramped. When I visited there were at least fifteen. Please people, if all you're gonna do is gossip about sweet nothings, take it outside with the rest of the pigeons.
DO go when there's a smaller crowd. Well's entire inventory is from local designers, jewelry makers, crafters, and artists. There's something for everyone.
The small gallery space is all the way in the back. From what I can tell, this place has good taste.Listed in: Bay Area Art Galleries

Great store owned by an even greater person. I love the jewelry and the clothing. Definitely worth checking out receptions as the space features amazing artists that may be overlooked by the mainstream.

Perfect store for a gift for yourself or a family member. What I was most impressed about in this store is the quality to price ratio. Even I can afford to incorporate some fine local art into my life. All the while expressing my unique style, my love for Oakland, or my love for my bicycle! The owner makes BEAUTIFUL jewelry and is a warm and friendly woman who is knowledgeable about her inventory.

Clothing, jewelry, art and more - all designed by local artists and on excellent display. Riquelle the owner/operator and one of the jewelry designers is just fabulous. Very positive and friendly, no wonder she also offers energy healing in her new space.
An eclectic collection of items for sale. Something for everyone for sure. Hip or fancy, dressy or casual. I dig it! -

Beautiful jewelry...great gifts. Found a very nice bamboo shirt for my ahem, mature husband who doesn't want anything too hip that makes him look like he's trying to look young and a beautiful necklace for my drummer-nanny-too-hip-for-most-things-in-life friend. They both loved their gifts. Of course, had to indulge myself as well...Riquelle makes gorgeous one of a kind jewelry and she also offers healing sessions at Well which I can imagine is great since buying gifts and presents for myself was, in itself, healing enough...much recommended. I'll be back for more presents!

WELL is the best place to get unique gifts -- all made by local designers -- which you may not be able to find anywhere else -- and you can still find the $20 pair of earrings or necklace. Riquelle is fun and has a great eye -- please support this local business, and in turn support our local artists!
