I must say as a Yankee relocated to Texas, this is as close to home (northern Illinois/Chicago) as you can get. Now I am only talking about their Italian Beef with giardinerra. It was da bomb! Good stuff, der eh!

Working in Westlake doesn't provide many options for lunch so I've tried almost all spots in the area. This little deli is hidden in the Solana Campus near a liquor store and Tex-mex restaurant. My coworkers hyped this place up so I was excited to have a good sandwich.
It's a small shop but has a decent amount of seating - all indoor. The deli menu is pretty large so expect to spend some time looking it over if you don't know what you want. I had a basic club sandwich on wheat and while it was ok, I probably could have made one at home or even at the cafe at work. The sandwich plus chips and pickle cost me about $8. Pretty expensive for a normal sandwich. My coworkers tried the Philly cheese steak (no flavor) and California club (plain). Too bad, I was excited for a minute there.
p.s. They WERE nice people and were quick with our sandwiches, at least that was a plus. -

This has become one of my regular choices for a great sandwich. I would much prefer to come to Winbergers than any other sandwich shop in the area.
Tucked away in the Solana campus Weinbergers is not something that you will find by driving down the road, but once you find it your car will magically have auto pilot for your return. The menu must have well over a hundred sandwich options available to you, but it is my understanding that there are actually over 400 different sandwiches that they will make you. I highly suggest picking up one of the take away menus and start keeping track of what you have had. The biggest challenge is that you are going to like some sandwiches so much, you will have to force yourself to try something new each time.
Today I want to tell you about one of my favorite sandwiches, the Turkey Chibata. This sandwich has a generous helping of Turkey topped with provolone cheese, spring greens mix, red onion, olive mix, basil mayo and balsamic dressing. The olive mix is the super special ingredient in this sandwich that combines with the balsamic dressing to make this like no other turkey sandwich.
The staff at the Westlake Weinberger's location are great. The food is prepared quickly and you are ready to dig into your sandwich in no time. Go and give it a try. -

Popped in last week as part of a trip to the liquor store. Three of us had the Chicago dog and it went down just fine. I was happy to see that it was served on a poppy seed bun with all the expected accouterments (and no extra ones either). I was told that the gyros are cooked on a spit, but the meat is removed later in the day to prevent over-cooking / burning... This maybe true, but I still feel the need to actually see the rotisserie.

Our family went here for lunch this week for the first time and we loved it! Each of us tried a different sandwich and we loved them all. The service was very friendly and helpful. We walked in the door and we were given a highchair for our infant carrier, without even asking for one! We will be back here for lunch again soon!!

Great Hot Beef sandwiches! Have been to the one in Grapevine before, thank you for opening this closer to my home! Tucked away pretty good -- in my the Marriott - I never knew all the little businesses existed here -- stopped in the very nice liquor store as well and bought a bottle of Tuaca with a neoprene sleeve - very cool day!

While I prefer the atmosphere of the Weinberger's Grapevine location, Weinbergers - Westlake is our work lunch go-to destination for sandwiches.
The interior of Weinberger's in Westlake isn't anything special. They share a register and space with a home-cooking place (which is apparently very good as well).
The food, though is unadulterated deli greatness. I've probably sampled half of their menu (which is quite large) and the next time I come away unsatisfied will be the first. -

Southlake, TX
Address says Roanoke, but its really Westlake, the 1st exit after the last Southlake exit when heading West young man.
This is a deli tucked amidst a small retail complex right next to the Marriott La Solona.
Had a Hot Pastrami on Rye. $5.99. The cheese was gooey, the pastrami flavorful.
The counter guy was kind of grubby.
No beer or wine, just sodas.
Pretty out of the way, but if you're on 114 and hungry and don't want to go into Southlake or Grapevine, this is a good alternative. -

One of my stand by places for lunch. Mostly because it's so close to work. It can be hit or miss, but I've never gone wrong with the roast beef. The heavy hitter, the wicked, and the Ruben are also amazing. The turkey was a little slimy so I've avoided getting that again. They also offer some soul food, but I've yet to try anything on the typically southern style menu. A pretty decent deli with some standouts.
