Review from Meghan M.
Yippeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! Wegmans!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are next to my new office and I fell immediately in love with you.
Lovely lunch options...My favorite being steamed tofu and vegetables on the Asian buffet with a bit of brown rice. Good stuff. I've also had a mozzarella caprese sandwich was quite good as well (and huge...actually too big!). Yes, I spend at least $10 on lunch here. But you know what? I think its worth it.
Next stop, grocery shopping here after work one day...Can't wait! -

Oustanding customer service and a great selection of food! Their produce department is excellent as well! This company has a fantastic customer service model. It's certainly one to be admired and copied! Shop here- you'll love it! They'll even walk you out t your car when it rains, with an umbrella. Do you need help loading groceries in your car? They'll help you do that too! All you have to do is ask!

Best food store hands down in the area. Great pizza, subs, sushi, chinese, salads. Awesome meat and seafood dept. Great Bakery. The store is huge. They have beer and wine. Very clean. Helpful staff. Fantastic fruits and veggies. Plus it's in a nice shopping mall.

Wegmans is hands down the best supermarket. They have the freshest fruit and vegetables by far, and the best selection as far as getting out of season or exotic items.
Their cheese counter beats any cheese specialty shop in NJ, and the staff really knows what they are doing. The nearby olive bar is equally impressive.
The best part of Wegmans though, is their prepared foods/butcher/fish department. So many options!!! You can purchase your meals in any stage of development from the base ingredients to fully prepared, just heat and eat, and there is a tremendous variety.
The baked goods are fantastic-- best sugar cookies i've ever eaten, and they even have a food court if you just want take out or dine in lunch or dinner. -

Like most Wegmans, this grocery store/restaurant is pretty damn good. People tend to associate Wegmans with high prices because of the higher prices of their quality stuff like meats and prepared foods and all, but the regular grocery prices are aight. This is the fourth Wegmans I've had a Danny's Favorite on Wheat at and it didn't disappoint. Also picked up some yogurt for Tandoori Chicken BBQ at a freind's place at just over a buck a piece. Can't beat it!
If you ever find yourself looking for a good sandwich and there's only a Wegmans or Subway nearby, get a Danny's favorite. Yeah, their meats may be presliced, but they're very good and real meat (unlike the fake, round crap at Subway or some other place). Plus, their bread is fresh baked, and I think the bread is a key component of a great sub. If the bread ain't good, I don't care if you put Prosciutto di Parma on it, I ain't gonna eat it.
Anyway, in all, great sandwiches and a nice grocery store.

i heart Wegmans. Please come to the Newark area. Excellent quality, great prices. They have EVERYTHING. I have never been disappointed (except maybe for the crowds of people)
and they bag your groceries for you! -

Cleanest and freshest varieties of fruits and vegetables I can find in the area. I also like how they have a coffee bar where I can grab a cup of coffee to take with me while I shop. Some things are more expensive than shop rite but the whole experience is better.

Out of all the gourmet groceries out there, Wegmans is the best.
Personally I don't think high quality and 100 percent organic and natural always go together and that makes it nice when you need to get a six pack of coke with your groceries.
Wegman's meat quality is not always where I would like it at the counter, the selections in the regular cases are often the best. For example they tend to have large sirloin roasts which are a nice universal meat for so many things that you just can't get anywhere else.
There is always a nice selection of local produce and it's typically of a much higher quality than the chain stores in the area.
The cheese counter is amazing and the staff understand cheese as well as a high-end consumer.
Take notice of the staff when you are there, they are nothing like the Stop and Shop or Shoprite crowd. Polite and Friendly, not typically worthless and cannot be bothered. -

Man oh man. This automatically became my favorite grocery store when i found out that they make FRESH BAGELS. Oh man. I stop by here in the mornings just to get fresh, warm, SOFT bagels by the bag. Blueberry, Marco Polo, I could die here. Then I tried their Asian buffet. Lemon Pepper fish, shrimp in cream sauce, wontons, spring rolls, general tso's ... I could definitely, willingly die here. THEN they opened this hugeee liquor area on one end of the store. Alcohol from all over the world, divided by origin. 50 million kinds of lager, wine from South Africa, France, Italy, South Carolina... and of course everything in between. And great, great prices. This is the only place you ever need to go. ever.

Manhattan, NY
Handsdown the best supermarket in the area. It's better than Wholefoods. The prepared foods are incredible, wine selection excellent, there is a good selection of both high-end and everyday product. Go hungry, the food court (biggest one I have ever seen) is filled with great ethinic, bbq, sushi, sandwiches, prepared meals etc.

What's not to like? This place has everything you never thought you need, and all the stuff you never thought you'd find. It's an awesome place to go if you're into organic. If you're nearby and it's lunch or dinner time, you can always stop at Wegmans, get a slice of pizza and sit upstairs while you eat, rather than wait for a table at Olive Garden or Ruby Tuesday's. Also, they have a delicious WALL OF CANDY and a train that circles a track above your head. It's the little things.

We recently moved into the area and had never heard of a Wegmans. We needed to get some clothes for our kids at the Children's Place nearby and saw this monstrous store. We got there just after 8 and while most of the main counters were closed we saw enough to want to go back. Great and huge sandwiches, incredibly high quality meat and fish, sales associates who actually know what they are talking about...just an amazing place. Our two kids, aged 5 and 3, usually hate grocery shopping. They love Wegmans. From the free samples to how nice everyone is. Yes they are a bit more expensive but the quality is so much better than an A&P.

Probably my favorite supermarket while visiting my parent's here in NJ. They cover all ends of the spectrum, from basic foods, to gourmet treats. I love the case of truffles in produce, their cheese selection is top notch as well for a grocery store, as is the olive selection. They have all manners of general merchandise to suit your needs as well. Certainly a drive from my parent's place in Warrenville, but worth it compared to the other choices.

Sometimes when you're grocery shopping, you get hungry... So what better way to capitalize on that than offering good prepared food? The first couple of times I came here, we never made it to the grocery section, picking up everything from fresh breads, cheeses, rotisserie chicken and vegetables in the left half of the store. Prices are reasonable. And the Wegman's branded items are just as good as the name brands.

I was living in NJ when this Wegmans was being built. It was fought for months by residents who didn't want any more rural property destroyed for yet another strip mall. One of Wegman's strongest arguments was that they would be a positive addition to the community. They portrayed their company as family and community oriented and implied they would be an active participant in community affairs. When two local children went missing, I went to Wegmans with pictures of the missing kids from The Center for Missing and Exploited Children. I explained that I was giving them to local merchants to display in hopes that someone had seen these kids. I was told that I could not hang them in their lobby as it's "not their policy." I remarked that I wasn't advertising a bake sale; these were neighborhood kids who were missing. They refused to let me hang a flyer. So much for being a caring part of the community. I refuse to shop in any Wegmans now.
