I'm afraid I can't put into words how much I love Wegman's.  Well, I'm going to try.

Wegman's is the best grocery store in the universe.  It's just so sad that I have to wait until I travel to WNY to get here.  It seems that I always come here for breakfast, lunch and dinner when I'm in town.  It's just that awesome.

On a recent trip, I got here early while they were still prepping all of the prepared foods.  The chef gathered all the employees around and went through every single detail of ingredients and cooking processes.  No wonder it's a Top 100 Place to Work.

I'm not sure if this is done intentionally, but the Marketplace in the Sheridan store has wrought iron canopies that are reminiscent of Les Halles of Paris.  You can find the most amazing things under these canopies... fresh fish, charcuterie, freshly baked bread, bagels, kosher deli, cheese.  Oh the cheese, Wegman's even has its own house brand of brie... with multiple types.  You can go for the "earthy" brie, the "creamy" brie or the "buttery" style.

It's my wonderland.  I could probably spend hours and hours just wandering the aisles.  When I do make it out of the marketplace area, I'm still astounded by the produce and the craft beer section.  They have a New York Craft Beer aisle that has dozens of local brews.

Now I'm just wasting your time, because you should really be headed out to a Wegman's right now. Go!

Very decent grocery store.  Good selection of organics and a decent "food court."  Has a bit more asian selections than other Wegmans.

Free wifi is a plus.  Nice, clean, with a lot of variety, can't really expect too much more than that.

While on a search for a decent supermarket, I have been disappointed over and over again... until I discovered WEGMANS! This place is seriously awesome and comparable to Trader Joe's & Whole Foods back in the west coast.  I was pleasantly surprised to see fresh produce, various arrays of colors all neatly and cleanly presented.  As a huge veggies/fruit person, I felt this huge burden lifted off of me... I found the perfect supermarket!

So off I go exploring their huge selection of organic foods, Wegman's brand foods, and other cool stuff when it dawned on me that I may still have to go to a normal grocery store to buy the other not as fancy items I needed.  But as I ventured down the store... I found aisles of "normal" food items.  It's as if Wegman's merged Whole Foods/Trader Joe's with normal supermarket together! Awesome concept... why have others not thought of it?

Finally, I've been told that I must try their $6 meal (includes an entree and 2 sides I believe).  Supposedly their portions are so large, it's like 2 meals in 1.  I am def going to need to try those next time.  Only complaint? My grapefruits were a bit dried up but maybe it's just the way fruit in NY is? I'd still try it again one more time.

Wegmans rules. Seriously. This one is particularly nice (better than the one on transit) & all the employees are fabulous & helpful.

    Takeout food:
Sushi is good & they will make it fresh for you while you shop. The sub shop is great too (exactly like dibella's). But the Chinese food is expensive!

And don't forget to ask for drive up grocery loading.
    I. LOVE. WEGMANS.

Oh, how I wish they had one of these in Boston.  Seriously.  This is like Whole Foods meets Trader Joe's.  But taking it up a notch.

    Subs.  Delicious.

Sushi.  Makes your taste buds dance.

    Prepared meats and food.  OMG.

Curb side pick-up of groceries.  Awesomeness.

    I could go on...and on...

If you ever come across one of these stores, pull over IMMEDIATELY and just walk around.  It will be time well spent.  Trust me.

My home away from home.  All they need to sell is beds and you can live there since they are open 24/7.

Brown rice vegetable sushi is fantastic among many other things prepare fresh daily to eat there or take home.

Great place for a date too!  (you think I'm kidding...)

"Suburban" Wegman's is the best  Wegman's in the area.  Wegman's is the best grocery store south of the Whole Foods in TO.  Excellent variety at every price point.   Good cheeses, vinegars, olive oil, organic dairy, produce from local farms.  Wegman's store brand beats out name-brand for most products.  If only Weggies' prepared food quality came close to  Whole Foods and it had a better butcher shop, I would give it that 5th star.

Prepared foods & salad bar could be a lot better.

    Wegmans is wonderful!

Everyone I have ever taken here from anywhere in the US is always jealous of our grocery store mecca we sometimes take for granted.  You always think differently of your own grocery store after you have had your first Wegmans experience.

Classy, clean and always a fun experience.  Fresh produce, many times from local farms look wonderful.  In addition to the bakery, coffee bar, meat and fish markets, and great private label brands (featured in The Office many times) - highlights you should not miss are the sub shop (get it with sub oil, cut in fourths, and enjoy), prepared foods (Indian, Chinese, salads, olive bar), gelato bar, cheese shop, premium beer selection and the employees.  Ask any W employee a question or for a suggestion and you will usually get great and honest service.  No wonder they have been a top 5 employer by Fortune magazine in the past 5 years.

I suggest just moving to Buffalo (or Rochester - they even have a restaurant at one of their stores) and giving up on wishing your Price Chopper - Whole Foods - Publix - Stop and Shop was as great as W is.

Huge fan of this -dare I say- grocery store? I have had little bad experiences here. The place is very clean and the employees are well picked and knowledgeable. I'm a huge fan of their Wegman's menu they put out. It provides me with a lot of ideas for dinner. Many I've tried and all have been very good. I love their cooking demonstrations and it's a great opportunity to ask questions as I'm a relatively novice cook myself.
I love their soup bar and their take-home Indian foods.
I love their bakery section and their store baked cheese bread is fabulous with my breakfast in the morning.
Their prices seem very comparable, and of course super- Wal-Mart is likely to have better prices - but the quality just isn't there. And I'll take quality over paying slightly less any day.

I wish I have one of those by my house. The grocery store was neat and clean. The food section had delicious food. If I live by one of these, I don't think I need to go anywhere else for weeks at a time.

wow this place is incredible.  I have never seen so much done right under one roof.  International foods, over 700 different beers, fine cheeses and the place is really clean and nice.  Plus they have a buffet too!  I am from Long Island, and I was completely blown away.

i can't even tell you what a rite of passage this chain o' food is.  if you survive self-weighing your produce & applying PLU adhesives, an 'international' food section, an international buffet and their aggressive customers as in coupon cashier delay and blind cart driving, you get a seat at our family table. it's where i go when i cook when i go home for xmas and i need something exotic like, red lentils.  oooh! wegman's'll have it.
