Best chicken pot pie that I have ever had in my whole life. Haven't had anything else here so foe now it gets 5 stars.
Homemade crust, cranberry sauce, generous portion, perfection. -

Got an Italian burger,,way way off,,overcooked and had provolone or some stinky cheese.thought it would be topped with mozzerella...tasted like charbroiled feet..and a ton of fries that were cooked hours before and cold. Live and learn,,Bartender was nice though, forgot her name. Smoking in bars sucks too when Im trying to eat,,wait a min!! maybe that charbroiled taste was the twenty cigarettes I was inhaling!?...yeech

Review from Marqus R.
The Wayward Sailor is a wonderful little laid back place that I have been coming to for years. The odd thing about it is that, at least every time I have been there, it hasn't been all that crowded. That brings me to the question, as one would say in Pittsburghese: "How's come?"** It certainly offers everything one could desire in a novel little bar scene.
For drinks, it is full liquor along with a good selection of beers. I happen to be particular fond of various craft beers and ales. Though the craft selection isn't large, it's adequate.
As for food, they have great Shepherd's Pie, fish and chips, soups, bangers and mash as well as daily specials. The foods tend toward the Irish side of the food scale, though the place doesn't really bill itself as being an Irish Bar. Instead, the ambiance of the place is clearly that of a sailor/fisherman type of hang. There I all kinds of various fishing and boating memorable covering the walls as well as the ceilings. Pictures of coat the walls and the lighting is rather dark, giving a sort of dive-y sailor hang out feeling to it, but it is spotlessly clean and neither seedy nor dive-y.
Oh, and now as to those ** (asterisks) and Pittsburgh comment above. The Wayward Sailor is clearly a Pittsburgh fan club place, though I never hear anyone speak using a "yenz," a "nebbie" a "how's come," a "jag off" or any of the other phrases or words so commonly used by a true Pittsburgher. I guess I'll have to go to the Wayward when there is a Pittsburgh Steeler's (in Pittsburgh Steeler's is pronounced "Stelher's") game, because I'm sure that I will hear some of it then. There is even a large sign on the front of the Wayward clearly indicating it to be a Pittsburgher venue. So, leave your Dolphin shirt at home. -

Great little salty pub in Fort Lauderdale. They're a few doors down from the Culture Room, so the Wayward Sailor makes for a great pit stop before a show.
They're also a Pittsburgh Steelers bar, so if you're a fan, you can go there and watch Pittsburgh play with your Steele City brethren. -

Food & people here are great. Would've given the extra star if there was no smoking. And for some odd reason our food was sooo salty we woke up dying of thirst. But tasted great at the time we ate it. Wish they had better ventilation for those of us that have bad reactions to smoke cause I loved the vibe here.

This bar was everything I look for. Mostly spotless while still dark and slightly seedy... The bartender was excellent with a nice accent and a nice attitude. Enough beer variety to keep a snob interested but common enough to bring anyone with you. The mixed drinks I had were incredible. The Irish coffee we had was perfect.
We also ate lunch while were there and it was amazing. Food was perfectly prepared, not one complaint about it. This bar was perfect! -

My office is across the street from the pub. It has the look of a dive but the people and the bartenders are very cool. It's a pretty cozy hangout spot. Bartenders are very good and seasoned.
They also have a very good menu. Great wings. tried their Grilled Chicken Sandwich and it's seasoned just right. Burgers are realy good (just make sure to ask them to cook it medium if you want it medium rare if you know what I mean. )
Full Bar, a happening place, and a very friendly mix of people. -

Wow this place is a nice little find. I stopped in here sorta lost and ordered a Guinness and the bartender poured it for me and asked my name which at the time I thought was weird, but after I told him he told me his name and was just being friendly.
Pretty down home crowd here of locals which is always nice and they serve food as well, which from watching the guy in the Tapout shirt next to me looked pretty good as he cleaned his plate up pretty well.
Decent drink selections including a lot of more obscure beers which is always nice! -

I really only come here before The BF and I attend a concert at The Culture room. This is an excellent place to pre-party and have some bar food. The food is good, the beer is cheap, and the staff is friendly. Will continue to return!

This place is great to go after a show at the Culture Room. I love that most of the bands hang out here after the show. I got to play photo hunt with the drummer from one of my favorite bands. Good Times!!

Poker table, fourteen TVs all tuned to different channels, and reasonably priced drinks. Best chicken pot pie I've ever had, bar none, and the staff is charming. My favorite place in FLL. I want a reserved table in perpetuity.

Another of Ft Liquordale's little secrets, Wayward Sailor is a beautifully unhip little neighborhood watering hole that offers a couple of things bars like this around here just don't usually have. Like nice people who make eye contact and act like they're glad to see you, even if you've never been there before. It's just lively enough to stay interesting without being too jammed and loud to enjoy your company or personal space. Food is great, and the kitchen obviously cares.
And another thing: it's freaking clean. There's no musty bar stink [ok, maybe a little, but it would be weird if there wasn't *any*], the floor is swept, your arms don't stick to the tables, and the bathrooms are not only spotless -- but there are actually soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in there! Amazing.
The beer selection is very good, offering the usual favorites plus just enough to keep a beer snob interested -- and is also one of the few places in town that was able to come up with John Power's whiskey.
Food is excellent bar fare with the occasional creative surprise occasionally thrown in. Excellent source of burgers. This sounds mundane, but I'm always surprised by how hard it is to find a decent burger around here. "Medium" comes out medium. Toppings are fresh, and the cook had the Burger Spirit to know that you put the toppings on first, then the cheese, then put it up in the broiler. That way all your junk doesn't fall off. Burger Ninja!
The place gets nice and peppy when there's a show at the Culture Room. So check the show, that's the crowd you'll be drinking with. But the neighborly, civil vibe usually stays in place whether it's bikers, aging hippies, or yuppies. -
