Kim does my brows and amazingly well at that. Most people say they'd rather go get their brows threaded for $12 but honestly I've never had consistently good service at brow places. I also have extremely sensitive skin and threading is like putting myself through unnecessary pain.
That being said, I will always come to wax (and happily) to get my brows done. Such a cute, clean and well managed business. It smells so good in there too! -

There are hip and famous places in Los Angeles for nails, eyebrows and make-up ... why not waxing? My vote? Jenifer Wilson at WAX in Los Angeles. She's the "Anastasia" of vagina waxing.
If you're a gal in L.A. and you like your kitty neat and tidy, you know there isn't a dirth of waxing salons you can choose from. I've tried the famous one in the Valley and the hole in the wall on Wilshire in Beverly Hills, but ... I've never found a better waxer than Jenifer at WAX.
We all know that waxing is NOT fun ... though somehow Jenifer manages to make it so. Down-to-earth, funny, fast and sweet, she makes a usually uncomfortable situation, oddly fun! Her work is fantastic and the numbing spray she gives you before she starts doesn't hurt either. Literally! -

The girl at the counter was very sweet. The girl who did my eyebrows was really nice, but the job was mediocre at best.
The price tag including tip was $43. Seriously. For eyebrows. Apparently they make your eyebrows magical! (They must at this price, no?)
So yeah, great service from two nice girls, but I will never ever go back. $43. Still blows my mind. Now I go to the threading place at the Beverly Center and they do an amazing job for 12 bucks. It hurts like holy hell, but damn do I look good! And smart, since one job at wax = three jobs at the other place!! -

Love the atmosphere and everyone is so pleasant The decor is super chic! Go see Leah! She works sunday's and is the best at waxing. The Wax salon also provides other services as well. It's worth the dollar amount! You don't want other weirdos staring at your vagina during a Brazilian Wax.

I'm apparently fickle about my waxing salons as this is the third place I've tried. No just kidding that's a lie. I'm just a lazy piece and I no longer live on the west side and so I no longer wish to drive there which is why I opted to find a new place closer to my current locale.
Enter Wax which is a mere couple of miles from both work and home to which caters perfectly to my laziness. First good thing: I called on a Wednesday and received an appointment for the very next day. Brilliant! I loathe places that make you wait weeks for an appointment.
Everything went perfectly from there. The place is clean and bright and everyone is friendly and polite. The rooms are also extremely clean and private. I was paired with Alexis and it was overall a very nice experience. Quite frankly, if you're getting anything below the belt done, I think it's key to have someone who's going to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. It's an embarrassing and awkward situation so I am really looking for a person that can make it as pleasant as possible and Alexis delivered. Comfort aside, she also did a through job and made sure everything was perfect. I'll also say that this the first place I've been to that offers a numbing spray and while it didn't completely nix the pain it certainly took the edge off. Use liberally!
The price point is comparable to most places in the area so no complaints there. Note that there is no tip on a credit card so bring cash (there is a BOA about a block away on Fairfax too if you forget). They don't have a designated parking lot but I had zero trouble parking on the side streets off Melrose for free but you can also find metered spaces.
I had an overall great experience here and I'll certainly be coming back. -

Jen Wilson is a waxing artist. I refuse to get a Brazilian from anyone else now that I've been spoiled by her skill. Its hard to trust someone with intimate waxing, but ever since the first time I saw Jen -- several years ago -- I've been hooked.
She's a perfectionist and an absolute expert. She makes me feel comfortable and makes a normally painful experience fun with witty banter. I recommend her to everyone I know looking for any kind of wax. She does my full leg waxing also and manages to capture my fine blonde thigh hairs (which is a feat, I tell you).
If you're in doubt, a first timer or just looking for a better wax -- go see Jen, you won't regret it. -

I love love love love love Wax!
It's so clean, well decorated and always smells delicious!
The girl that makes your appointments and checks you in is my favorite of all! She always fits me in when it's convenient for me and manages to be so personal when she's doing 100 things at once. Sometimes I wish they weren't always right on time because Brittany is a blast to chat with!
I've had a couple different types of waxes done at Wax and they were all by Kelly and Laurie... Sweethearts!!! Laurie is a genius with eyebrows! She created eyebrows I never even dreamed I could have. Don't ever let anyone else in the world touch your eyebrows but Laurie! You won't regret it! Oh and Kelly... Couldn't have made me feel more calm and relaxed during a wax that I was a little unsure about. She made the experience wonderful and kept me laughing the whole time. All these girls have the best personalities!
Hands down best salon in LA!
And if anyone from there is reading this... I really want that gorgeous neon blue lingerie you sell :-) -

Went here for my first time on Saturday after realizing I needed to get waxed ASAP. They fit me in even though I had called kinda late in the day. I zipped over and was pleasantly surprised. Alexis was my waxer and she did a superb job. So nice and super sweet. Most importantly though, QUICK. I was in and out in a blink.
I liked this place so much right off the bat, I immediately booked my second appointment. So happy to have such a great waxing salon so close. -

Went for my fist time 3 weeks ago and had Kelly for my brows. She is friendly, knows what she's doing, down to earth and just...well...nice. Everyone was nice, including the clients waiting. No snobbery or weirdness, just a good vibe. So refreshing for a place west of Fairfax. Thanks for my awesome brows. I'll be back. -

Wax is my new favorite place to go. I have been to several around Los Angeles and Jen does the best job out of anyone I have gone to at other waxing salons. She is super professional, and this place is really nice and super clean - a big must with a waxing salon. My favorite is that they give you numbing spray to use beforehand.
I only gave it 4 stars because it is $5-$10 more expensive than where I used to go, but I am totally sold! Also - I am the worst at planning appointments ahead of time and they have always been able to squeeze me in for a same day appointment. MAJOR bonus points! -

As I was lying down and desperately trying to distract myself from the pain of a nude wax I couldn't help but think how awesome this place was. I've gotten waxed by Alexis 4 times now and she is wonderful! Seriously! Super sweet and friendly. I've been recommending her to all my friends (yelp friends included). My wax takes just a quick 15 minutes but she is very thorough and makes sure to get every last little hair and even those nasty ingrowns. All the while, she helps get my mind off the pain and onto what fun things I'm doing that weekend. All of my best friends and I love this place. Totally worth the $60 to know you're in good hands. Most days I can call in and make a same day appointment so no need to dread the pain for days or bend over backwards to fit a wax into your schedule. But seriously, it's not that bad. Actually, it depends on a lot of factors but the numbing cream they give you really helps. So give it a try, or two.

So I've been back three times and this is now my regular spot. Kelly is lovely and energetic every time, even first thing in the morning on a Saturday, and she does a great job.

Best wax so far, and I've been on the lookout for weeks as a newbie in LA.
Pros:
1. Kelly-- she's excellent.
2. Timing- under 10 min for a Brazilian
3. Comfort- Numbing spray before + awesome waiting area/atmosphere
4. Personable staff- Receptionist is great. And speaks English. :)
5. Cleanliness- No double dipping, rooms are spotless
Cons:
1. Pricey. $60 for full Brazilian. But worth it.
Overall: Found my new spot. Love it here. They've also gotten great press... check our their website, it sold me. http://www.waxla.com
Parking: 2 hour parking on Hayworth, right across the street.
Payment: Credit cards accepted, but bring cash for tip. -

My schedule is so crazy now and I have a difficult time getting anything done unless it's last minute and they're open late. I have a couple places I usually go to for waxing but I was behind on my treatments and needed to get one done asap! That's how I found Wax. I had always heard about it but I'm loyal to the several I go to so I never tried them. My usual places couldn't fit me in so I called everywhere and Wax fit me in due to a cancellation!
Don't get me wrong, it was much more costly than my usual places but she did do a great job. Waxing is never a "fun" thing to do but if you find the right place it won't be too bad. I've been burned (literally) before and some people take way too darn long so thankfully Wax was great. Check them out! Honestly the pricing is way too high compared to other places but it's a great alternative depending on your locale, etc.Listed in: Masochism at it's Finest

AWESOME! Alexis rocks my socks. She gets me out in 15 minutes! Yep - a Brazilian in 15 minutes. Who would've guessed?!
And if you have ANY questions about how to stop hairs from growing in too fast, in-grown ones, etc. they have ANSWERS. And ones that work! Facial scrub and aloe = amazing advice! Thanks, Alexis!! :)

I went here for my first time ever last week and got my eyebrows waxed & shaped. I have a few friends who go to Wax and they always tell me how awesome it is and they were absolutely right. This place is overall amazing!
First, booking my appointment over the phone was easy and helpful. A girl named Britney helped me and answered all my questions. Then when I went in for my appointment, I was greeted by the same cheerful Britney. She rocked.
Laurie was my amazing eyebrow specialist and she made them look so hot. She gave me a sexy new arch and made them so clean and smooth looking. She was also very fun and friendly. I will 100% be going back for this service and more. -

Going to this salon was no WAXident or coWAXidence, it was a great decision! I've never done this in my life and was nervous. They put me with Jen and she made me feel right at home. I got the Brazillian and full-leg which came out perfect! She was thorough, funny, and understanding.
Some helpful tips:
1. Exfoliate the desired areas a few days before and keep exfoliating after
2. Pop two aspirin an hour before the wax (I don't know if that actually helps but in my gullible mind, it did)
3. Most important rule is this: TAKE IT LIKE A MAN!

I've been a little reluctant to share my wax spot, but for you Yelp? Anything...
I've been going to this place since they opened the doors, and I won't go anywhere else. Long gone are the days of ghetto perma-surprise brows from the nail shop, or having to wait forever at that obnoxious Pink Cheeks place in the porn capital of the valley. The ladies at Wax are professional, consistent, and even NICE! Marissa or Kim for Brazilians, and Laurie for brows. Perfect every time. -

I grew out my eyebrows for 3 months straight - without plucking or trimming - and when I went to see Alexis, she made me beautiful again! She made both brows even and well arched. I love that it wasn't thin. She works wonders with my brows and she's so friendly and nice. I love getting my eyebrows done by her!

Wax is really cute, but very pricey. I came to get my brows done and since I take pretty good care of them Kim said she would only charge me for a touch-up, which was $20. Last time I got my brows fully done it was $23 so you can understand my irritation with how much they charged. Kim was really awesome, friendly, and knowledgeable, but for that price...I still wasn't satisfied.
Really good service, but the prices are a rip off. -

Wax is awesome. Mainly because of Leah. Here's an insider tip for those of you on a budget: Book a basic bikini wax with LEAH, but once you are in the room with her tell her you'll give her an extra tip if she does a brazilian. She's so fast that the front desk doesn't know the difference. It's a win win! She makes more money, you pay less!

I am so excited I found an affordable, professional, EASY place to wax. And by easy, I mean fast and as painless as can be. I was shocked. Most brazilians/nudes take at least 30 minutes but I was in and out in under 20! Not only were they super fast but super efficient.
They start you off with numbing spray and then go at it with both regular and hard wax. Once you're done, they spritz you with aloe vera and baby powder.
I had Alexis. She was amazing. She's genuinely friendly and keeps your mind off the little momentary bursts of pain. She was also very knowledgeable as she answered every question I had, no problem. When she was done, I couldn't believe it. That fast and only that much pain? I left with the smoothest body I've had yet and NO strays.
I'm their newest regular. -

I get my eyebrows shaped and my lashes tinted by Laurie and she is great. I have been going to her for over 3 years now and I have ALWAYS left happy and feeling pretty. She knows what she is doing and she is a delightful person to spend time with. She has also done eyelash extensions for me when I was getting married and she did an amazing job. I have recommended Wax to others and even if they don't see Laurie they are always very pleased with the recommendation, however I highly recommend Laurie. The staff is very pleasant and the atmosphere is "Melrose chic". Always call at least few days in advance if you need something done for an event because they can get booked up.
OK, so the prices are higher than the nail salon, but the quality of the work, the professionalism, and dare I say cleanliness is definitely worth the price difference. -

Perfectly adequate brow wax but nobody there has blown me away.
I've seen many of the waxers on staff over the last 2 years and have yet to run across a star.
However, this place is totally close to my house and is clean, professional and very reliable. You won't get a bad wax, it will just be adequate.

This place is awesome. I made a same-day appointment for a wax sesh before the holidays and they got me in right away. I got lost on the way so I was a few minutes late for my appointment but they were pretty sweet about it.
The salon is clean and nicely decorated with big comfy chairs and tons of current magazines in the waiting area. And I didn't have to wait long at all, maybe 5 minutes. I also like that they give you a little survey if you are a first time costumer there to ask you about any allergies or skin issues you have.
I got a bikini wax and it was quick and professional. Only as painful as expected, with no problems afterwards. The waxer was sweet and just chatted with me the whole time. I would definitely go back! (I only wish I remembered her name).
On a whim when I was there I decided to get my eyebrows done too. They got me in right away (I didn't have to make another appointment and come back). The girl who did my eyebrows was different than the one who did my nethers, but she also did a great job! I was thrilled with my eyebrows! They were very nicely shaped - way better than more expensive waxes I have paid for in the past!
The price was very reasonable, much more affordable than others in the area.
I would definitely recommend this place!
Also - most of the parking in the area is meters, but if you go right around the corner (on the southwest side of the block) there is free 1 hour parking in the neighborhood. -

A client suggested I got to WAX, namely Laurie to have my brows done. I was very impressed. She took her time and was very thorough. My brows have never looked better.
My only complaint here is that parking is not easy so give yourself plenty of time. The front desk receptionist was very understanding & patient with me. Everyone that works here appears to be competent. The salon is clean and the staff is prompt. -

This place is AMAZING!!!! I have never been waxed (down there) and I'm a cry baby for any type of pain (and should I add, VERY SHY). For more than a year I was thinking of getting the Brazilian wax and I've done my research. Because of all these great comments in yelp, I decided to try WAX. I don't regret it. Kelly was the best, she understood how I felt and made sure I was comfortable and explained everything to me.... Now was it painful? Yes, but nothing what I expected. Maybe what helped was that I took two Extra Strength Tylenols half an hour before my wax and/or the numbing spray they offer you.
Will I go back? YES!!! -

I have nothing new to add but I agree with the rest of the Yelpers that Kim is the BEST when it comes to Brazilian. I was treated by Jennifer the first time I came here and she was also good, but I need someone who also has a bubbly personality and Kim is the entire package. I can't stand getting waxed by someone who is quiet or isn't talking (I like to be distracted and connect with my waxer to make time fly) and Kim is funny, sweet and pure awesomeness. She leaves you clean, she listens and she is quick! I love how they use numbing spray beforehand. I am a regular here and wouldn't go elsewhere.

I literally just got back from my appointment here and I HAD to write a review right away. My friend recommended Wax, and I was definitely psyched about the reasonable price - I was expecting more for being in this city, especially when there are places in Philly (I'm just visiting) that charge more.
#1 - They provide you with a numbing spray when you enter the room. I may have gone a little wild with it, but that little touch alone earns this place five stars. They don't sell it there, but I was told where to buy it.
I had a great waxing experience with Kelly, who was fun and bubbly (we majored in the same subject!) and, best of all, quick. I was in and out in under 20 minutes, and she recommended me products for some of my concerns. I am in love with this place and will be back here next time I'm in LA.
And as an aside, their receptionist is one of the most beautiful women we have ever seen. End. -

This is the best place to go for a wax in LA. I've tried other places but have decided that I'll be going here until the day no more hair sprouts from such unnecessary places.
The Brazilian with Marissa is great. It's quick, as pain free as can be for what it is, the place is nice and clean, there are no missed spots, and it is reasonably priced.
This one is well worth going out of your way.
... I edited this review based on a facial service I got here. It wasn't necessarily anything that was their fault but I felt robbed. I got the marine facial which was very pricey (ended up being $170 with tip) and my face just peeled and it didn't do anything remarkable for the underlying problem. -

Oh wow this place is awesome. Looks super small from the outside, but when you go in it tickles all of your senses. Smells great, looks great, and you're greeted with a smile. Instantly made my day 100x better. I was helped out by Leah for my back waxing (I'm Armenian...gotta do what you gotta do). I have to say she was awesome. She made sure I knew to exfoliate and even gave warning about shaving prior to waxing. Super friendly. Clean and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend doing business with WAX!

I highly recommend getting your eyebrows done here by Leah. She takes the time to consult with her client, makes sure you feel comfortable throughout the wax, and ensures you are satisfied with the end result. I've been going to her to get my brows done for months now and have never left less than thrilled.

In order to get the best Brazilian, see Jen. She's quick and does the cleanest job I've ever seen. You really get what you pay for and I don't think anyone else does a better job. I've cheated and gone to other places such as Queen Bee and other well known waxers. Maybe I'm just used to perfection but I really don't understand these other waxers and how they have 5 star reviews on Yelp. These people obviously haven't had a great wax job in the past. Jen does the best shaping and is the nicest. I've gone to her numerous times!

Let me just say that the comments about Jen are spot on -- she's friendly, appreciative, colloquial yet professional, and she makes you at ease even when she's staring at something my boyfriend doesn't even know exists.
After calling in last minute, I was squeezed into Wax's busy schedule for a spot with Jen. I came here for the "nude" but it couldn't be done since most of my hair is, ironically, short for a change -- she just did a bikini wax instead all the while apologizing for something that was my fault to begin with. Money well spent in my opinion since:
1. After most waxes down there, I'm usually sticky and uncomfortable for the rest of the day. With Jen and Wax? The moment it was done, I felt BETTER than when I came in -- no sticky, no chaffy, no nothing bad. I was out the door and feelin' a literal bounce in my step.
2. The experience of talking with Jen while bending over -- that was priceless, worth the 35 I spent. (Keep in mind that I ended up getting a bikini, not a nude. This is not the price for an "all-bare"-er.)
3. I got a girl crush on Jen. She's cute, she's fun, and her hair is so nice. Plus she was gentle with me. :D It made my wittle heart melt.

So after reading multiple Yelp reviews on multiple places to go for a Brazilian, I chose Wax. I have had some painful experiences and absolutely hate dealing with all of this. When I called to make the appointment I received my first great impression when the girl who answered was no nice and accommodating. She gave me an appointment with Jen, and I'm so grateful she did. Jen was amazing. She is so nice and funny you forget what you are doing there and the sensitive matter at hand. The offices are clean, there is music, and there is a feeling of privacy even though the walls are not floor to ceiling. There is pain dulling spray too! If you are a total newbie to the experience you have to go here so you may never know a bad bikini wax experience. My wax ran $55 plus tip, but well worth it in the long run.
