The Waterfront represents both the best and worst of Jersey.  The location is nearly impossible to find using any map, and the directions on their website are marginal at best.  Yet, this place is packed with locals looking for cheap beer and live entertainment.

The bar seems to be what keeps this place going, but they also have an indoor dining room, a golf range and a miniature golf course.  The food was a mix of good and bad, but nothing spectacular.  I had the strangest bruschetta ever.  It was warm with melted cheese on the tomatoes.

The dining room is good for large groups.  Since the dining room is usually empty, you don't need a reservation.

The golf range has a mix of dirt and grass, with a couple of distance flags in between.  If the local country club doesn't allow you to drink and smoke while you practice your swing, this place might suit you better.  After paying $5 for the putt-putt course, I realized I payed too much.  This place makes your average KOA mini golf course seem deluxe.  It was in very poor condition, and wouldn't have been to exciting in new condition.  Amazingly, it's lit up at night, and if you do play, you'll probably have the course to yourself.

The Waterfront Cafe offers free WiFi, though the biker/fire department crowd didn't seem to be taking advantage of it.

I can't say anything about the Caf, since I went to the golf center. The mini golf course was completely inoperable, and there was and overgrown chipping (and possibly putting) area in the front parking lot.  This didn't bode well, but I continued around the back to the driving range.

The range was in poor condition, terrible balls that have been hit so much that the dimples were non existent. The crowd that was playing tended not to be the golf crowd, but folks that wanted to whack a couple of balls while drinking. Also the excessively large yard markers, and telephone type  poles crossing the range made it very difficult to not only see where the ball went, but also were huge obstacles that would never appear on any type of real course. About 10% of my stokes I had being returned to me after hitting one of these poles.

The basket of balls was very pricey considering the quality of the range and the price of competing ranges in Bogata and Edgewater. Combined with the not so scenic view of Xanadu, this should be a last resort golf facility.
