I just stayed here this weekend, even being from the area i would love to go back. Waking up walking out on my balcony and seeing the ocean was beautiful. The hotel was very nice inside, great beds and comforters!
They are also pet friendly, i have a little dog and its hard to leave her at home when we go away for the night. For an extra fee of $70 dollars they graciously let us bring our dog. They were so nice they asked what our dogs name was and wrote it in the system, they gave us a big comfy bed for her to sleep on, a doggy bowl for her water, they gave her some doggie treats, and some bags to take her on walk. Taking her to the bathroom wasn't hard there is grass area out front of the hotel. It was so nice attending a wedding at the hotel not having to worry about our dog at home by herself.
I didn't get to enjoy the pool since i was helping doing hair for the wedding but i talked to people who did and they really enjoyed they mentioned they had a bbq with hamburgers and said they were really good! i would love to go back have a view of the ocean and sit by a pool, and to top it off only 10 minutes from my house.
This is a beautiful hotel, and everyone was very nice and friendly. I will be coming back!!

Beautiful resort with an amazing beachfront location - you feel the beach vibe as soon as you walk in the doors. The resort is beachfront, but on the opposite side of PCH so you have to walk across the street to get to beach (very short easy walk). But don't worry about traffic noise, it's not too noticeable at the pool or the beach and PCH is extremely quiet at night allowing you to hear the crashing waves of the Pacific.
The hotels location is a bit closer to the heart of the action than the Hyatt. Rooms are very nice, recently remodeled. Hotel staff thus far has been amazing and extremely accommodating. Nice pool with adjacent restaurant and bar with cool fire pit lough.
Awesome for everyone, surfers, shoppers, you name it!
Wonderful, beautiful hotel! We moved from Huntington Beach about 5 years ago. While living here I always passed by this place and had heard great things about it. We had a wedding to go to in Newport last summer, so we thought we would stay here.
The hotel is beautiful. The staff is the best hotel staff I have ever encountered! They are all so nice and helpful, from the Valet all the way up to the Hotel manager. The room service manager delivered our food to our room himself, Jason. He was so nice. We had such a wonderful time there!
Be prepared to pay some money. This is a nice hotel, in Orange County, right across from the beach and is a Hilton, so please don't think you will be getting $80 a night. You will be paying over $160 a night, plus $25 per day mandatory valet (there is no street parking other then metered). Plus food, drinks and tips.
It was worth the money! We had a wonderful time and I owe it all to this hotel! Can't wait to return!
This is an older property, but I've been coming here for almost 15 years for various events, and it's well maintained. The firepits around the pool near the bar area are a wonderful touch, and the view of the ocean and beach from the upper areas of the resort are perfect. This is a nice hotel for the price- close to the beach, somewhat close to the action of Main Street.

Awesome place. Was here for work and I can say, lovely place.
Right across the street from the HB pier, the views are absolutely gorgeous.
Rooms are spacious, and that little balcony in each room makes for some nice coffee drinking in the morning - taking in the morning surf. Yaye.
Bar has a great 2 dlls happy hour specials. Breakfast, on the other hand, will run you $18 for the continental type. Yikes.
Awesome place for surfers, runners and ocean lovers alike, right in the heart of Surf City USA
My only quip? Not enough power plugs!

I recently completed a 3 night stay there for a work related Marketing Summit next door at the Hyatt. I would have stayed there instead if it were not for the fact that I'm a Silver Elite VIP at Hilton.
The Good: Very nice room in a beautiful resort property (albeit a smaller resort).
The Bad:
- No acknowledgement of my VIP status from anyone at the front desk. I always get a nice personal letter from the property's GM. None of that here. At the least I get addressed by my name "Mr. Almazan"...no one bothered.
- No in-room information on the property's services or amenities. No room service menu, nothing. I had to call and ask where the fitness center was. Even after I told the front desk girl I had no info in my room, she didn't bother to send the missing info up. She just said, "take the elevator down to the 1st floor and turn left and you'll see it".
- Inconsistent turn down service...only on the first night... the other two nights they didn't bother.
- Housekeeping did not empty out the melted ice in the ice bucket. It was left in my room on the wet bar.
- Submitted my concerns on the comment card, but have not heard anything from the hotel managment....clearly they don't care to address the issues of Hilton's most loyal consumers. As a point of comparison, i received an emai from "Elite" customer services at the San Diego Marriott Marina property after my stay there last week asking about my stay and how to improve it. I told them my stay was excellent as they acknowledged my status with them and put me on the 22nd floor with a view of the waterfront and the service was excellent. (By the way, the location of the room I got at the Hilton property although a nice room, was on the 2nd floor facing the parking lot, no beach view here!).
All in all, I would have expected so much more from this property. But the service and simple oversights were really dissappointing. Heck, I've had service 10x better at the St. Louis Airport Hilton Garden Inn and the Oakland Airport Hilton!

Hilton hotels generally do not earn much love from me, since they don't show me much...this may be the first five star review I've given to a Hilton property
The girl and I stayed there Thursday night, 4/16 after picking up her new-to-her motorcycle, which we flew cross country to purchase. I knew the experience might be different / better the moment we pulled up the driveway and heard the valet say, "you can park that right there (pointing to an area right by the front door) for your entire stay."
Really....? Because at tons of other properties I've been told, "you can't park a motorcycle here," or " you'll have to put it in the garage (for $25 / day).
We then got some love from the front desk at check in, in the form of recognition of my Diamond status and the upgrade that is promised but rarely delivered, as part of said status.
The property in general is beautiful but, the rooms aren't really any different than you'd find anywhere else in the country....however, the people really made the difference here.
They go the extra mile to make you feel like they actually care and that makes a huge difference.
We ate at the resto for both dinner and breakfast, which I'll review separately.
The Watefront Hilton hotel offers great settings and beautiful backgrounds for an outdoor wedding. I really enjoyed working for this couple. The beach right nearby was perfect for B&G and group portraits. The wedding reception was held in one of the banquet halls. The cocktail/appetizer hours are well arranged here at the Waterfront. The food was great..!
The wedding I attended was a lunch wedding, so the lighting in the banquet hall was very natural and soft. The sunlight coming through the window has been my favorite lighting condition, especially for the Wedding Photography. The lighting situation outside was very harsh and strong, but as a professional photographer, I have to be in total control and play with the daylight. This is always been fun & exciting challenge for me..!!! I give overall rating of 4 stars for the Waterfront Hilton hotel~

Steps away from the beach, this hotel is a great location. You can eat breakfast outside on the patio and soak up the sun early morning. It's a great way to start off the day. The rooms are nice - they seem to be recently upgraded. We had a nice view of the water, so that was a welcomed sight for us!
Minus one star for the incompetent staff and their inability to arrange a cab for us at 5am. (Even though, the night before, they told us we'd have a cab waiting for us! Clearly, a lie.) If you need to arrange transportation to the airport, I suggest double (even triple) checking to make sure they're on top of things.

For those of you who know me, I've been searching for the perfect crab cake. I've wandered long and far, and endured some of the crappiest crusteaceous fiascos.
I came of the Hilton Waterfront for a wedding reception, and was excited for a night of food, drinks, and great people. As we were standing around during cocktail hour, the servers came by with these tasty little treats. I didn't really notice or try them at first, but then I started getting hungry.
Let me know tell. I had the BEST crab cake ever. ever. ever. it was super moist, GRILLED, and had tons of crab meat inside. chunks of delicious dungenous crab. no carb-y filler. just plain good. it's unfair how good it was.
The rest of the food that night was also pretty good. I wont review it because it probably is only available for big party/receptions. But the food was also very good.
Aside from the crab cake, the view up top was phenomenal. You could see the beautiful beach and sunset. Great place for a wedding reception.
But seriously. best crab cakes ever.

Very nice hotel. I'll do the pros and the cons (with the pros being much more numerous, hence the 4-star review)
Pros:
Pretty and unique entrance lobby
Incredibly comfortable beds with great linens
Great toiletries etc. as per Hilton's usual
Close to the beach
Cons:
Small bathroom
Tiny and rather useless gym
Some of the fixtures etc. felt more motel than Hilton and it was a bit of a jarring contrast (although everything was perfectly clean)
All in all a very nice stay, and I'll be back there tomorrow night!
First class service and resort...even let my mom bring bring my dog into her room even though it wasn't a pet friendly room
They actually gave her a follow up call after her visit to see how marley was doing
Yesterday was the Surf City Run and the starting point was across the street from this Hilton. It was pouring rain with high winds of up to 30mph. All the runners came in here for refuge. The lobby was filled with people waiting to go out to the starting line. HILTON had people passing out trashbags and shower caps to those who needed the protection.
They laid out coffee and water bottles for everyone. The lines to the bathrooms were ridiculously long so they had cleaning people going in and out periodically for upkeep.
I asked the manager for a shower cap because we couldn't find the lady who was passing it out. He scrambled everywhere to make sure we'd get one. How nice of him!
I cannot recommend this place enough... even though I've never stayed here I'm sure the service is excellent! If they're this nice to people that don't even stay here, how much better will they treat their own clientele?

My friend had her wedding reception here over the weekend and this hotel is absolutely gorgeous! I can only review as a guest, I have no idea about prices or any of the planning process.
Driving up PCH is breathtaking and that is something I miss about Southern California. You just don't have the OC-lifestyle up here in the Bay Area. As we were driving up PCH, we saw families walking around in board-shorts with no shoes on, old school beach cars in pastel colors, and just a very relaxed atmosphere - such a big difference from the smoggy chaotic city life.
This hotel is right across the street from the beach and the entrance is the block behind PCH. As you walk in, there is a beautiful staircase and lots of natural light. When you walk by Shades restaurant, there is a huge outdoor seating area and pool that faces the beach, it is absolutely beautiful! It makes me think that sometimes you don't need to go to far away tropical islands, you can spend a weekend here and feel refreshed and relaxed. Despite being right off of PCH, the hotel is surprisingly quiet and makes sitting outdoors a very nice and relaxing experience.
My friend's reception was half outdoors, half indoors. The open bar and h'or deurves were outdoors with a view of the pool and the beach, so we were able to sit outside and take in the beach and wonderful spring air. The inside of the Pacific room (I think that's the name?) was illuminated by an entire wall of long windows.
I was so impressed with this hotel and would love to stay here for a weekend just because. The wedding was very orderly and there was staff everywhere busybusybusy, they were very attentive. We were greeted from valet, to walking into the hotel to every step of the way through the wedding. The room was beautiful and the restrooms were right in front of the banquet room, very convenient. Plus, the bathroom design was nice (not your typical public-multiple-restroom) and very clean. Across the street from the fabulous beach in such a beautiful city, definitely can't be beat. I'd lovelovelove to come back here.

Grew up in HB and never thought I'd see the day when a huge hi-rise would mar the beautiful landscape along the shore. What happened to our little Driftwood par 3 - 9 hole golf course. Boo hoo...
But enough reminiscing. I am just dating myself. I just stayed at the hotel the other weekend for a wedding and it was pretty nice. The rooms were clean and the service with the exception of the graveyard shift front desk person was great. It was almost as if you were in Hawaii or something. The bellman, the valet, everyone was super nice and friendly. The catering staff in the ballroom where the reception was held was a bit of a different story but I'll chalk that perception up to a very curt server who might have been having a bad day.
The room which was an ocean view suite was a little tight. The bed in the bedroom almost took up the whole room, leaving only a few feet between the wall and the side of the bed. But the linens and furniture were all in good shape.
Good for families I'd imagine since you are close to Main Street and the pier. Ahh good ol' HB.

Kinda pricey, but stayed in one of their ocean view rooms on July 3rd. Paid over $340 per night, $24 for valet, $75 for the pet fee, which is not a deposit. The service could have been better, the only friendly people were the valets. Overall, the room was ok (clean enough), the beds were nice and comfy and they provided a nice comfy dog bed. It is right across from the beach, so they should provide cabanas or umbrellas for their guests, however they charge guests $100+ when other beach hotels provide them for free. Felt that it was really overpriced overall, even though it was a holiday weekend.
This hotel is very nice (it's right next to the water, aestichally pleasing to the eye, and is close to downtwon Huntington) but the great things stop there. At the time I made the reservations (about 3 months prior) I requested hypoallergenic bedding as we are VERY allergic to the feathers in down bedding. I was assured that it would be "no problem at all" and even called a day prior to our arrival when again I was reassured "not to worry." Well, after we got into our room, we both immediately began to feel itchy and started breaking out in a rash. I looked at the comforter and pillows, and sure enough, they were down. I called twice to the front desk and they acted like they had never even heard of such bedding as hypoallergenic. The manager said they didn't carry anything of the sort, but offered to give me money to buy a blanket at a nearby store. We ended up just using sheets instead the entire trip.
As an apology the manager gave us two free breakfast tickets for the next day, but when we went to use them they said we ordered too much (we split an egg, bacon breakfast with fruit on the side and each had a cup of tea) and said that we had to pay the difference!
Lastly, they have mandatory valet, which costs around ($15/day) I believe. It actually may have been more, because for the 6 days we paid 120. I was upset that we didn't have the choice to self-park and that they charged so much. The only upside was that the valet people were always polite, helpful, and got our car in a timely manner.
I am glad that we didn't have to spend time in the hotel and that the beach and nearby towns were enough to keep us busy all day long! If I had to do it again, I would probably have looked into renting a beach house or stay elsewhere.
This is the hotel I always stay at when I come back to my beloved HB!
I grew up right down the street and had come here to eat and to a few weddings, but I never really appreciated it until I moved away.
The hotel has some great amenities, like the pool, they have bikes for rent, the amazing views, and they also have a really good restaurant.
The rooms are all very nicely decorated and if you are lucky enough to get one of the corner unites, it comes with a great wrap around balcony!
*UPDATE June 28th*
I just got back from spending a week at the Hilton and they have added a great fire-pit at the restaurant. They have big, over-sized new chairs and they even have blankets! It was so cool to sit out and listen to the live music, while enjoying the fire!!

I really liked this hotel! My mother-in-law recently had a party here in the Pacific Room and she even got us rooms at the hotel.
Note to self: when attending parties at the banquet halls, Just because you know the person throwing the party, doesnt mean it's BYOB! Security will kick you out if they catch you! They have BARS!!
The party was fun! The food was GOOD. Even the Ceviche was good!! It had scallops, crab, shrimp and fish. It was like a mexican infused seafood salad. Not exactly Ceviche ahah but good!
Even the steamed veggies were tastey!
Our room was gorgeous! we stayed on the top floor and we woke up to sunrise on the Pacific Ocean! I was as if i feel asleep on the beach *LOVELY*
Everyone that works at this hotel was outstanding. Even the doorboys!!
I'd LOVE to stay here once again!
-----This review is for the Champagne Brunch on Sundays.-----
Good stuff. Have to admit it was a pretty good spread. There was the normal breakfast foods - omelettes, waffles, french toast, fruit, etc. There was also swordfish, chicken, leg of lamb, eggs benedict, potatoes and vegetables. All were excellent.
Also there was a decent amount of seafood salads, sushi rolls and sashimi.
The desserts were good too, but too much dark chocolate for my tastes.
The champagne was pretty good - i had 3 or so mimosas. The service is pretty good there too, though they probably could have done with one more server for the inside.
Great place.
Tips:
1. Make a reservation. Sit INSIDE.
2. Get there when it starts (10 I think, otherwise prepare for church goers and more kids)
3. Bring an appetite
4. Be prepared to spend. After all is said and done, it's about 50 per person.

I stayed here over the weekend. Great location to stay if you're hangin at the beach. It's right across the street. Walking distance to Main Street and the pier. Nice room with a balcony. People are friendly but the restaurant is just so so and pricey.

We just wanted to get out of Hollywood for Memorial Day and go to the beach....we stayed at the Hilton and had a GREAT VISIT. I was not expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised by the clean rooms and AMAZING SERVICE and friendly staff. The hotel is right across the street from beach with a great snack shack and bike rental. (not part of Hilton) Snack shack across street has great breakfast and is much less expensive than eating at hotel - plus you can sit on strand and eat and have your coffee. Pool service was great and even tho this hotel caters to kids there were areas of pool you could sit and be "out of the way" and enjoy cocktails and decent POOL FOOD. We will for sure go again for an overnight stay to get away from the URBAN JUNGLE of Hollywood.
Thanks Hilton Staff!!!!
P.S. - I am not typically a fan of Hilton and prefer boutique type hotels but this Hilton was fine by me.
I didn't stay here, but I was here for refuge from the rain prior to the Surf City Marathon. It was very nice. The workers were very nice and courteous. They let us use their restrooms prior, and they were very clean I must add. They offered coffee and water to us, even though we weren't even customers. They even gave us runner trash bags so we can make panchos and the cleaning lady even gave me a shower cap. Based on my experience with the people from the Hilton...5 STARS!!!
