This place prides themselves in "Organic coffee, juices, salads, and sandwiches. Also has hormone-free milk and meats."
Nestled amongst cute boutiques and half way between the beach and the valley! A chill cozy joint to sip a latte (yes, they have soy! yay!) and take in a bit of the fresh canyon air - little table outside to sit at and relax - read the morning paper - grab a fresh baked blueberry scone or a spinach quiche or a sandwich or a pastry - you get the picture. Good house (not like the stuff that taste burnt )coffee - great "red eyes" - locally owned - why not stop, right? The prices are great - large Iced Red Eye, medium house coffee and a scone for $6.50.
Note: Dont take that turn too quick you will miss it!!! When you see rocco's on the left - its right across the street!
Overpriced, service is (usually) friendly, but very slow. Nice atmosphere, but if there are more than a few people ahead of you, prepare to wait.
If you've come from a hike, it is the only place to pick up "casual" to go fare in town, but you could just as easily get some baguettes and do it yourself.
Water Lily is one of my favorite cafes in L.A. ! Topanga is very lucky to have such a healthy and relatively inexpensive alternative right in its backyard. With fresh, organic ingredients you can expect a delicious and healthy meal to satisfy you after that long hike in the park or after an afternoon at the beach. Their sandwiches are fantastic. My personal recommendation is the German Salami sandwich with Swiss (no cucumbers) on white square bread... trust me it's delish! I haven't tried the Brie and Grape sandwich but it's next on my list. Their ice blended mocha rivals my old favorite from Coffee Bean and is something I delight in at least two or three times a week in the summer time. There is seating inside and a couple tables outside where you can enjoy the sunshine with your favorite friend/woof.
Got another amazing vanilla latte yesterday. Steven makes it super hot, super sweet and nice and creamy. Just how I like it.

Maybe it's because I'm Cuban, but I can smell coffee a mile away. Enticing, but seemingly without a… Read more »
This place is average at best. It has a laid back hippy feel to it and the staff is well..slow. They have decent coffee. I can not recommend the sandwiches. They are tasteless and unremarkable. There is some art on the walls too nothing special....blah.
after a hike through topanga canyon, this cafe offered exactly what we were looking for. scrumptious veggie sandwiches (goat cheese panini and veggie avacodo on french baguette), a delightful desert (flourless chocolate cake) and a cozy little place to eat it all. seriously, the sandwiches at this place are the best that i've had in a really long time. resonably priced too! to make it an even better experience, the guy at the counter was very polite. highly recommended!!!
This place is ok, but nowhere near great. Decent coffee. Service on weekends is pretty good, but during the week it's super slow. They do offer some good items - lattes are good and the homemade lemonade is tart and unsweetened. Hours are...? Posted nowhere. All I know is that they're not open at 6am and are mostly closed by 5pm.
Great people, good coffee. Has paid wifi.
