I'm really happy about Watchcare!
I have a J. Edho watch that broke (pin fell out of the band where it attaches to the head of the watch) years ago. I love the watch, so I drug it place to place. I've taken it into a few jewlery stores and have always heard "we can't fix it".
They had the band fixed & a new battery in this watch in 20 minutes. Not to mention replacing the batteries in two other watches.
Another watch of mine has a deep scratch in the crystal. They couldn't fix it, but I appreciate them saying so rather than fuxing up my watch and asking for money.
Would appreciate if their hours matched those of the mall - they close at 6pm, not 9pm. But hey, my watch is working & I'm a happy girl. :) They are inside Hillsdale Mall, upstairs, right next to Nordstrom. Go to their website to print out coupons.
3 batteries replaced in 3 watches, 1 band replacement = $30.
DIdn't get my watches changed out for batteries or anything
I got my CAR KEY correctly placed in a key fob. A strange request but the super friendly guy said he can try.
Basically for those who have key fobs and a keyblade inserted in, I needed the keyblades switched out. The dealership didnt want to do it (b/c I didnt want to pay 300 for a stupid programming key) and really the screw in the fob is tiny like those you find on watch links.
The guy did it in less than 4 minutes and didn't charge me.
I tried to hand him money but all he said just bring in my watches here.
Awesome friendly and funny guy - really really knows how to do business!
I'm doing this review after seeing another Yelper's talk thread request for a good watch repair place.
A few years ago my jewelry box was turning into a watch morgue. I decided to finally get a couple of watches fixed. One was a classic Seiko watch my sweet Grandma gave me as a graduation gift (it had been dead for over 10 years) and also another one I really liked, that had died about a year before. I'd never had a watch repaired before. A friend of mine suggested Macy's. I had been carting these dead watches in my purse for weeks, thinking, the next time I'm close to Macy's I'm going to go in and have them fixed.
I can't remember why I didn't choose Macy's after all. I think that when I was in the Hillsdale Mall (intending to go to Macy's) I just may have wandered upon Watchcare, drawn in by the name that makes it pretty obvious: "WE FIX WATCHES." I asked how much it was and it sounded like a good deal so I just had it done on the spot.
Whatever the case I was thrilled with their service. They fixed it very quickly and it was inexpensive. And it was such a joy to have my Grandmother's sweet gift ticking away on my wrist again!
They also have a one year guarantee. To see a list of all the brands they repair, just click on their homepage and scroll to the bottom http://watchcare.com/.
Just saw their main page also (at least for right now) has downloadable PDF coupons that gets you 12% off. Sweet!
For anyone looking for a good, fast watch repair place ... these guys are great.

My mom bought me a great watch for my graduation (Citizen EcoDrive gold face with brown leather straps). I love this watch. Knowing that I was exclusively wearing my new watch, my mom asked to borrow my older Fossil watch. She had it for months. Well she must have soaked the leather straps in some "stank juice" because when I asked for it back (sometimes you just need to switch it up) , it smelled SO BAD. It was so bad that I became parnoid of those who came close to me thinking, "Can they smell my watch?"
Anyhow, I dealt with it for a few weeks and couldn't take it anymore. I went to Watchcare and they had a big selection of attractive budget friendly bands that fit my watch. It took less than 10 minutes for them to switch them out.
When I went to pick it up, I was kinda embarrassed and he did look at me funny. I thought to myself, "While he changed out the bands, did he smell the stench waffing off the old leather straps?"
"Old faithful" is being used regularly now since the metal matches the metal tone of my engagement ring. *wink* I'll start wearing the EcoDrive once I get a golden wedding ring. Yup, I'm getting a gold ring and a platinum ring. A girl needs variety in her life. Sometimes she wants to wear gold... sometimes she'll want to wear platinum. =)

super fast, super simple, and decently priced. i've been bringing my watches here for battery replacement or link adjustment for over 11 years now. they first identify the type of battery the watch requires and then depending on how busy they are, they tell you to return in an hour. i've had turn-around time of 10 minutes before when i dropped off a watch on saturday morning.
depending on your watch, the battery costs can vary. but even for higher end watches, they charge about $8 for battery replacement and $7 something to remove or add links. the batteries have pretty long lives and if the battery happens to die within a year and you keep your receipt, they will replace it with another one for free. But this has never happened since my watch batteries last an average of 2 years. try this place next time if your watch stops ticking.
