My dog loves the fenced area here. I wish the actual dog run had street lights like the rest of the park. There's a creek a little way down the paved road that she enjoys swimming in. A great place to excersize the poochie :)
In response to the heinous murder comment- that is obviously not characteristic to to the park, bad things happen in good places all the time. It is not in a rough neighborhood and as a young female walking alone here at any given time I have never felt threatened. There are always families with young children at the ball park in the afternoon. I doubt they'd hang out there if it were dangerous. -

This is a great park! There are wooded trails, a playground, picnic shelters, softball fields, a basketball court, workout area, dog park, and it's connected to a greenway! Generally feels safe during the day, and there are almost always a dozen cute dogs to watch in their fenced-in area. Go on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon and you can even take the greenway to the $2 theater! Of course, I'm a bit biased... I live in the adjacent neighborhood that shares the same name.
