As a "local," I LOVE Wasatch Brew Pub! LOVE it!

When I'm in Park City at lunchtime, it's Wasatch every time...just have to make sure it's after 12'Noon so I can get beer!

Much fun has been poked at the lame selections of Utah-made beer, particularly the potency (or lack thereof). Although I tend to agree in theory, Wasatch has some of the best beers brewed in the state. I realize this is not saying much, but still, it has to start somewhere, right? If anything, Wasatch is certainly doing an impressive job in helping to advance and elevate the rep of Utah-made beers. How can you not respect that?

Beer-wise, my favorite by far is their regular Hefeweisen. It's beautifully colored, always frosty cold, and tastes like beer commissioned by God that accidentally fell from heaven. If I'm feeling edgy, I get the Apricot Hef, or their awesome Summerbrau if it's available (seasonal). Oh, yes, I should mention that the Summerbrau (and a few others) employs an exception from the 3.2% alcohol mandate to include an additional 2.4%, rendering it almost normal to the rest of the world.

Wasatch's Fish and Chips are seriously the best I've had in Utah. The sizeable pieces of fish (I think it's Alaskan pollock) take a nice batter-y dip in the 1st Amendment Lager, so you really can taste the beer! The end result is a beautifully crispy outside, opening up to a soft, flaky, and flavorful interior. Fan-freaking-tastic! AND, they now offer Sweet Potato Fries which you can get alongside...not the very best SPF I've had, but still very worthy and nicely-spiced.

I also love their fish tacos, catfish and trout entrees. I can count on their fish, which is so much more than I can say for other places around the state. Even fish specialty restos can't seem to get the fish right, like this little brew pub does.

Wasatch offers a tre impressive Appetizer menu. If I don't order the fish, I stick with the Apps here. You cannot go wrong with their Coconut Beer Shrimp (sinful), their jack Mac & Cheese (I'm a renowned hater of traditional Mac & Cheese), or their Chicken Nachos.

The only menu item I would stay away from is the pizza. It's different. And not necessarily in a good way. I've never ordered it myself, but friends have. They would also recommend ordering something else.

In the summertime I love sitting outside on their covered patio. It's beautiful.

Wasatch beers are generally available at most grocery stores (3.2%, don't get excited), with the higher alcohol content beers sold only at selected state-owned liquor stores. But, as with all other beer, it's just not the same out of a bottle. I'll stick with getting it fresh out of the brewer's tap. Or maybe an occasional beer bong, but that's it.

This review is based on two visits in the last month.

Not a good as it could be.  On-Tap beers are bland and lacking proper carbonation.  Wasatch is my favorite Utah beer that I purchase in bottles.  For some reason the brew pub beers don't match up with the bottles.  The bartender did not even pour the beer properly--2 inch head of beer foam, really.  Beer should be much better since we are at Wasatch's own brew pub.

Food is mediocre.  Was better in past.  Side salads are just lettuce with a little oil.  When I asked the waiter about it, he responded with a laugh and said the beer should make up for it.  Sadly the beer didn't.  Fish and Chips are worth it.  The Fries are good, but one time they were burnt and slim portion.  Pulled pork sliders are ok nothing to praise.

I really hope they raise the standards a little better because the place could be great.

The Wasatch Brew Pub is a nice spot to stop in for a beer and bite to eat.

I would highly recommend the Fish and Chips, it was VERY good. I'm not normally a fried fish guy, but I was told to try it and was pleasantly surprised by how good this meal was.

I also tried a new locally brewed Utah beer called Devastator which was really good. You can get a 6 pack to go for less than $10 as opposed to paying $6 each for a bottle at the bar so feel free to get some to go.

Got a quick bite to eat and a few beers during a trip to Park City.  One of the cheaper and more casual places to go.  The staff was friendly and didn't mind answering numerous questions about their beer selection.  Enjoyed the beer and left with a growler.

Not a bad bar and grill.  I ordered the Portabella Mushroom Sandwich, which was tasty, and also had their Pumpkin Ale. They always have a beer special, where it's only $2.50 for 20 oz, which is a great deal.  The Pumpkin Ale, which was their special the day I visited, is ok, as long as you are expecting Pumpkin Pie (including all of the spices) versus, just Pumpkin.  I was so full after my meal that I didn't have a chance to try some of their other beers, but in general the other Wasatch beers that I tried were good...Evolution, Hef...  I was just surprised that not all of their varieties were on tap and that some were served in bottles.

Stopped in Wasatch while visiting Park City for Christmas.  We came for the good, local beer and a bite to eat.  I ordered the Devastator because its umm 8% alcohol and who doesn't like a good, strong beer? Most strong beers are dark and taste like crap but the Devastator was amazing.  The rest of the group shared a pitched of the Polygamy Porter out of the tap which was pretty decent as well.  We shared the fish & chips which were probably one of the best fish & chips I have had yet.  We also had a margarita pizza which was pretty decent, but nothing special.  We grabbed a 6 pack of the Devastator to go for way cheaper than paying the $6/bottle at the bar!  Stop in, you'll love it!

I was absolutely gutted, the WBP has been a family tradition for a very long time.  It's been about 5 years since my last visit as I moved far far away, but man has it gone downhill.

Some info for American Homebrewers Association, not only do they not accept the card or give a discount, they get real suspicious for some odd reason when you ask about it.  As if you are magically going to steal their recipe for Polygamy porter by sitting in the restaurant section of their brew pub.  We think asking is what caused our waiter to go from okay to downright rude.

We asked for our typical growler to have during the meal, and the waiter left in a huff saying it wasn't normal to get the growler with your meal, so to the waiter:  Sorry we prefer the 13 buck growler to the 6 dollar a glass beer selection, it had never been a problem before, and we didn't mean to cause you stress on the very busy night (3 tables) you obviously were having to deal with.

My mum got the fish tacos, for all the goop on top of the fish one would think you would get a zestful mouth of goodinesswith every bite.  In reality they were flavorless, the tortillas tasted dated, were hard in spots and there was a cardboard aftertaste that ruined them completely.  I have never seen my mum return a meal, she instantly returned it after two bites and a testing by the rest of us at the table on one of them and opted for the clam chowder.  Pops had the pot roast, it was overdone, and he had to ask for gravy because they didn't include any for the mashed potatoes, it was 20 dollars, overcooked and consisted of a slab of overcooked pot roast and a pile of mashed potatoes sans gravy.

I had the hamburger, and it was good, the bun was great and fresh, the burger was medium rare on the side of rare, which I later learned is a no no in Utah but I didn't mind.  What I did mind was the packaged cheese slices they half melted on top of it, it made the burger look cheap and the slimy half melted cheese bits were kind of gross it was a 1.80 addition to the burger that I had to scrape off.  And a friend had the fish and chips, which he said were not bad, I think he got the best meal of all of us.

It was kind of cool that they were using fresh and organic things according to their menu, but the overall quality and presentation was disgusting and left all four of us with disgusting burps a couple of notsopleasant  trips to the loo later.

It breaks me ole heart because this was our place, we specifically would go here every year during ski season.  Now, I think our tradition will be to skip it, because bad service, bad food = bad time.

My boyfriend used to live in Park City, and still goes back almost every year and makes a usual stop to Wasatch Brew Pub on Main st. He took me here this summer and it was a nice ending to our "touristy" day. The food wasn't anything phenomenal, and felt my buffalo burger was definitely overpriced for what it was. But my boyfriend got the fish tacos and practically inhaled them he liked them so much.

The beers and ambiance are really where this place gets my attention. I liked sitting outside and just relaxing. I got the summer twilight and I really liked it. My boyfriend tried a bunch of different beers, I don't even remember them all (one was hop rising.. I just remember because the label was entertaining). But he liked them all. Our waiter was great too. The entire attitude from the staff, from the minute we stepped in to get a table, was positive and friendly. We looked around in the little beer shirt shop before we left. The guy at the register in the little shop was also helpful and chatty while we picked out some wasatch gear and I left with a cute summerbrau t-shirt

Not a comlete fan. Food and beer were good, and a step above your average bar w trendy salads. The fish and chips were very good.. However the service was terrible. There were several issues like a long wait for drinks. But my main complaint is about the food service. I ordered a salad and asked my waiter twice to make sure the blue cheese was on the side bc i was sharing it w someone who did not eat blue cheese. The salad came with blue cheese. I mentioned this to my waiter, he apologized and said he would tell the kitchen to make sure they didnt make the same mistake again. AND that was it! He never offered to replace my salad or take it back. I sat waiting for him to notice I was not eating and ....nothing. WOW never experienced that before. Even McDonalds will replace mixed up/messed up food orders!

It was fine for a quick drink.
Nice variety of atmospheres - Sports bar, Quiet deck, cozy restaurant - all in one.

The beer is bland on tap due to the 3% ABV law, and you can only get two samples at a time if you want to test out their home brews.  Made for a boring experience and mediocre beer.

    Upstairs bar tender was funny.....

At the top of Main Street sits this Brew Pub. The service is friendly and efficient. The ambiance is nothing special, but its a brew pub and works. The beers are good, the food is tasty, and its an all around good time.

A little more about the beer ... we tasted the following:
    - Apricot Hefewiezen - not sweet at all, just a nice refreshing beer with a hint of apricot at the end.
    - Wasatch White Ale - good Belgian style wheat beer. Much like Hoegaarden.
    - Polygamy Porter - my friend who doesn't even like porter thought this was delicious.
    - Evolution Amber and Devastator - both solid.

A little more about the food .... we tasted the following:
    - Chipotle Buffalo Wings - really good flavor, not greasy at all, and a definite recommendation
    - Buffalo Burger - very well cooked. If a brew pub can't do a burger, we've got problems, but this was very good.
    - Calamari - surprisingly good and not too breaded, win.

I like the food, the vibe, and most importantly the beer! Good place, GO!

I have to say, for a brewery, the Mac and Cheese was quite wonderful.  The pizza...I'd skip it.

OK, so beer.  The choices are endless. Make sure to get your fill of high alcohol volume here in their bottled beers.  Nice selection of tap brews and whiskeys also.

We sat upstairs.  It was the last day of the ski season and the place was virtually empty for lunch on a Sunday. The bartender was AWESOME. He really talked it up with us and was a down to earth guy.  Great service and company!

Its an great place to watch a game or try different local beers.  I am sure that during peak ski season, this place is slammed.

Had a great experience here.  Delicious butternut squash soup, good burgers and fish.  Service was great.  Still not sold on Utah's beer, but Wasatch probably has the best I've had.

Some a-hole left their mean dogs tied up at the entrance and one tried to bite us.  So watch out for that.

The closest thing to sampling beers in Utah can be had at Wasatch Brew Pub!! They offer tiny little glasses perfect for tasting all their beers on draft. Although, you have to pay to taste each one, so it is not technically sampling, but it's beer and it's cold, so I'm not complaining.

We opted to sit at the bar area since we were just doing drinks. You can see all the beers they offer and we saw some interesting brews on tap: jalapeno cream, apricot hefeweizen, and of course the famous polygamy porter. They also have a great First Amendment Lager that is perfect if you are wanting a break from crafty beers and are just looking for something to guzzle.

Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about the beers and we met some great folks that we chatted with for a couple of hours! Layout of pub is a little off, too bright of lights, and diner style tables in restaurant part, but that just my picky opinion on brew pubs, so can ignore it!

I do wish that the glasses were chilled, instead of room temperature, but other than that, a fine time to be had at Wasatch!

Brew Pub! Few and far between in SLC

With strict liquor laws this brew pub made it happen in Park City. No frills in this establishment but they had the biggest beer on tap selection I saw in Utah. I guess Utah is not known for tap beers and I'm not sure if these beers alcohol content was changed by Mormon laws to half of what they should be like bottled beer but one didn't seem enough.

The Wasatch Brew Pub is a "must do" while in Park City.

Arriving to Park City just that day, we needed something not too fancy and something casual.  This place tickled our fancy for this evening.  We get there to be told we would have to wait 25 minutes before being seated.  OK, no problem, we'll chill at the bar and have a few beers.  It wasn't a big deal cause we had nothing else to do.  I get the first 2 beers and then "bing bing bing".  WTH, only 3 mins before our table got called...I'm not complaining but the hostess should have a better indication of when people might get called.  It was a pain in the butt cause I then had to close the tab I just opened.  Bartender wasn't too happy with me or the hostess in my opinion.

After being seated, I had a good chance to review the beer menu.  It's quite extensive and features some pretty high ABV brews.  Had a chance to try a Jalapeno Beer...what an experience that was!  Soooo unique.  WOW!  Many good beers at this place.

The food wasn't great but in no means was it bad.  We tried the calamari to start.  Was tasty...came with two dipping sauces.  Then had the pot roast for dinner.  Was pretty bland.  I enjoyed the veggies that came along side it more than the meat.  Oh well.  I would like to go back and try a different food item...possibly the Buffalo Burger!

Let me make this clear.  The five star rating is based on two things.

    1. The Beer.  Excellent local beer choices.  High gravity in the bottle and tap only limited by legislative ignorance.
    2. The Mac & Cheese from the appetizer menu.  I doubt that any poor words can express the mushroom cloud of olfactory gratification let loose by this stuff.  Variously described as "Cheesy Deliciousness" and "GOODER THAN SHIT", it is made from I believe three cheeses smacked in a ramekin and baked until it reaches Olympus.

Cool kind of place with a great ski town feel crossed with micro brewery, and busy restaurant in a rambling but modernized historic building.  The bartenders, chef and staff are all that sort of polite but detached smartass that makes a place memorable and real.

Oh, did I mention the beer.  Great choices of excellent locally brewed beer.  My wife and I had to go twice in a short two day weekend.  No really, she wanted to!

Ok...stumbled across this place by looking in the directory for drinking and eating while on vacation. It is a known fact that Park City is not know for its alcohol, but this place came highly recommended. And this may sound silly, but what influenced me to set on this journey was a famous beer. Yes my friends, I 'm talking about the Polygamy Porter. Come on, like you wouldn't be interested to know what this was all about???

Well, my adventure started out with me abandoning my friends on the mountain as they frolicked in the snow in search of this beer. My journey led me to he base of Main St. To my dismay, this brewery is located at the top of the hill, which didn't help me much. I ascended the incline in search of this awesome and intriguing beer.

Once arriving I was greeted by a less than enthusiastic host and waitress. Took my seat at the bar...and if I had not researched the info on my own, would not have been made aware of the sampling. I chose to sample three of theie beers: Apricot Hef, Jalapeno Cream Ale and Polygamy Porter. The Apricot Hef with its light texture and fruity smell won me over. Jalapeno Cream Ale was.....different, but tasty. This beer is enjoyed more through the sense of smell than the actual taste. And the infamous Polygamy Porter...lets just say it was like drinking a cup of plain black coffee. Take from that what you will....very bland and lacking of smokey flavor. More impressed with the name...but would recommend the sample at least.

Food: Pulled pork sandwich...was AWESOME. I am a Cali girl, and was surprised at how much I enjoyed the Calamari. Word of advice: when in Park City...stick to what THEY KNOW. Buffalo burgers, pulled pork, etc. Fish Tacos: Epic FAIL. Again, being a Cali girl, I know what I'm talking about.

The rating is based strictly on the food and beer.....thumbs down for the crappy service and lack of hospitality.

I took a snowboarding trip to Utah that was also, in no small part, a tour of Utah's brewpubs. We arrived here just before a large crowd started to amass, which was a common theme with all the brewpubs I visited.

It's a fairly small place, a little dive-y, and I don't mean that as an insult. This was appreciated in tony Park City - indeed, I felt a good unpretentious beer vibe, just a bunch of people chilling out enjoying some beer.

Wasatch features a good-looking pub menu that mostly delivers. On recommendation (from who, I don't remember), I ordered the buffalo burger and was very satisfied, having paired it with a glass of Polygamy Porter. Which brings me to my obligatory note about the beers. Polygamy certainly isn't Deschutes' Black Butte Porter, but given the 4% ABV limitation on drafts, it does the job very well, with a pleasing degree of roastiness and chocolate. I also had the Cowboy Coffee Stout - again, creamy, enjoyable, easy-drinking.

As a beer drinker, I may be offended at the ridiculous Utah laws, which seem almost prejudiced against beer - but I have to give credit where due, the Utah craft brewers are very good at brewing session beers with as much flavor as possible. I don't mind drinking 4% beers with flavor at all - I just hate being told that's the only draft beer I can get. Oddly enough, it was only the 8% Devastator Double Bock (available in bottles) that I wasn't too crazy about. In the style of a doppelbock, it landed too raisin-y sweet on the palate for my liking, without much attempting to balance. I was planning to order dessert, but I ended up just finishing the second half of the bottle as dessert. Speaking of the bottle, there was some ridiculous sticker on the bottle from the state of Utah stating that the sticker was "unlawful to remove" - of course, I promptly removed it.

Prices would regularly be a little high, but they are on the low side for Park City, making this an attractive budget-friendly option even if you don't like beer.

Wasatch Brewpub in Park City has what I call an "old school" brewpub feel to it - it reminds you of the way brewpubs were 10-12 years ago when brewpubs started to spread. Why? The atmosphere, traditional pub fare, brewpub humor shirts (We Drink Our Share and Sell the Rest! ... Good for what Ales you!).

Given the 3.2% restrictions, Wasatch has come up with some amazing results. Their Hefe-weizen, available year-round, is IMO the best in Utah. Great bananna clove, very drinkable, and simply delicious sans lemon. Other ales such as Polygamy Porter and Superior Ale are worth venturing into, but my bet is you'll stick with their stellar Hefe.

Food quality is "good." No complaints, many items clearly above par. Pizzas have a very, very fresh homemade dough crust that is fantastic! Cuisine is slanted towards fish and other meats, but the veggie folks can find a few items too.

Selection of beer is usually 5-6 regular taps with 1-2 guest taps and/or seasonals (total 1-2). They usually offer an ale on cask as well. Oh, I almost forgot to mention - beer is served in cool 20oz. dimpled mugs. Very few places do this any longer. Nothing like a porter in a dimpled mug!

Value is good reasonable on the whole, but VERY reasonable if you consider the context of pricey Park City.

So maybe my opinion is a little biased.  I am, after all, from Colorado.  And we have some pretty kick-ass breweries and beers here.  We also leave our 3.2's to the coolers of 7-11.  Oh, you poor Utah...ians.  Utahnites?  Wasatch's Polygamy Porter... a beer-style I love so dearly... is weak.  It's like what would happen if Coors tried to make one: weak and watery and leaves you asking, "Why?"  (Sidenote: Just because I'm from Colorado doesn't mean I have to like ALL Colorado beers ;)...).

I don't want to offend.  That's not my intention.  I just felt... a little taken aback.  I was expecting boldness.  Frothiness.  A heavy mouthfeel and a deep, dark nose.  What I got was... well, "This is like a Coors porter."  But enough about the beer.  Onto the food.

This place didn't have a veggie burger.  Maybe I'm asking for too much: strong beer AND a veggie burger.  But a veggie sango just wasn't what I was after, but it was really all there was to offer on the menu for a vegetarian.  Yeah, there was pizza, but I was jonesing for a veggie burger.  Ah, well.  The Dude devoured their giant Buffalo burger and gave it two thumbs up, so at least there's that.

But a fair warning, if you want fries (naturally, because they go best with burgers!), be prepared to pay a $2.95 up-charge for subbing them for potato chips.  Really, that's a brilliant marketing scheme because when I have a burger, I want some fries.  And when I'm having a beer, I will probably agree to whatever cost if it means I get some fries.

Overall, I was not too impressed with Wasatch.  Please don't hate on me; it just wasn't my bag (or beer).  But now I know, so next time I'm visiting I can move on to the next place.  All in the name of science.  All in the name of Yelp!

Came here as a party of 6 on a Sunday night and was told we'd be seated in 20 mins. 2 pitchers and 40 minutes later, we still weren't seated... well, we were seated but it was in the upstairs bar area where apparently they can't serve the dinner menu due to zoning...what the? turns out the reason  they can't seat us downstairs is because diners downstairs were ordering drinks at their table so they weren't leaving. Do you see the problem here? We wanted to order food but couldnt because the bar area (complete with tables) can't serve food...but the patrons of the dining area were only ordering drinks. I digress.

The staff finally felt bad at the predicament and opened up the private dining room upstairs (as that was properly zoned...gotta love Utah law), It was a bit strange to have this big private dining room to ourselves. Ordered the  mini pizzas- which had very fresh soft dough...and were big enough to share between 2 people with a salad. Greek salad was boring and not very greek. Fish & Chips were good..but the standout was the Bison burger. Order it.  The beer was good too...Polygamy Porter is the one to try. Why have just one?

I am a big fan. Granted, the food isn't really anything you can't get at most similar pub establishments. But there is just something so distinctly Park City about this place.

Food-wise, you can't go wrong with the nachos and the buffalo burger. The buffalo burger is *slightly lower* in calories than the pub burger. Which is great, because then you can put chicken and guac on your nachos and order a couple extra beers. It's pretty much health food really...

And of course, the real reason for the props is the awesome beer. I highly recommend the Polygamy Porter (Why have just one) or the Evolution Amber (Created in 27 days, not 7). But that said, I haven't tried anything here I don't like. And bonus points for the irreverent, spit in your eye beer names and ad slogans.

Is it wildly tacky and a little disrespectful? Yes. Is beer supposed to be? Yes. Am I getting a T-shirt. Hell yeah!

Park City's Main Street is a charming, Old West style street where they have done a good job of preserving the local architecture.  With the snowcapped mountains in the background, cowboys shoveling snow, and skiers in fancy duds wandering around it's an entertaining place to walk.  Be warned though, Main Street is on a fairly steep hill.  Great exercise but it'll get ya huffing and puffing if you're used to living at sea level, like me!

While walking on a weekday afternoon I noticed lots of people eating at The Eating Establishment and at Wasatch Brew Pub.  So where to go?  I asked a local which one was better and he said both were good choices, but then I saw him head right into Wasatch.  I thought, well, I'm in Utah so better get me a little bit of local flava and walked in, big stroller, sleeping child, and all.  Plus, I was amused to see that Wasatch attracted a chewier, more local western, and Ma/Pa crowd.

I ordered the philly cheese steak sandwich and a small brown ale.  I thought about trying the "polygamy porter" because "it's okay to have more than one" but brown ale sounded more appealing to a girl like me.

Beer was very good and I wish I could have had more but I remembered in time that high altitudes can make a person drunker with less alcohol.  My Philly cheese steak was not really Philly style (thank goodness since after all I'm nowhere near Philadelphia!)  It was really delicious -- chopped, tender meat with a luscious cheese sauce, served with a good coleslaw and perfect fries.  The waiter said fish and chips and the turkey sandwich were very popular so maybe next time, I'll try one of those dishes too.

Oh and very friendly attentive service here from both the hostess and the dude who was my waiter.

I had never ordered a bottle at a brewpub/brewery before and I realize now that I should have done so in order to taste all that the brewery had to offer.  I looked only at the taps and made assumptions that led to my review being incomplete.  To anyone that reads my review, please take it with a grain of salt.  I did not, through my own ignorance of the laws of Utah and assumptions of what was offered give Wasatch a fair chance to impress me with all of the beers they offer.

I didn't try the food, this review is for the beer offerings alone.

I go to a lot of breweries/brewpubs.  Their offerings were sub-par.  I looked up the beers online before I came out to Utah and was really excited to try them.

Unfortunately, they didn't live up to what I expected.  I didn't realize till later the double-bock was not available in the pub due to Utah's arcane alcohol laws, but I still had high hopes for the Polygamy Porter.  It was not good.  It was slightly sweet and bland, devoid of any of the smokiness or bitterness that helps make a great porter.  The kolsch that my wife had was ok, but nowhere near the same quality as say New Holland's Full Circle.  It wasn't bad, it just felt like it was missing something.

The one beer of note was the Jalapeno Cream Ale.  It smelled so much like a fresh jalapeno and had a little bite to it, it was a great niche beer.

This place is great!  They have killer brews and good food.  The wait staff is fun and exactly what you hope for in a ski town.  The bars "anti-Utah" culture is fun and some of beers they serve come with hilarious names like: "Polygamy Porter", "Evolution Amber" (my favorite), "1st Amendment Lager", and "Brigham's Brew - Root Beer".  I especially like some of their seasonal brews like the "White Label".

Anyway this is a killer place if you're looking to get away from some of the high end PC restaurants and bars, and the Cantina is a great place to meet people.

Old and dirty. Food is marginal and over-priced food. Beer is below average. Skip it and find another local restaurant. Many other good places to choose from.

DON'T GET THE CAESAR SALAD! They gave me full lettuce leaves with TONS of parmesan cheese. It would have been cheaper to just buy a head of lettuce!

No complaints during the couple times I visited.  It's your typical mountain resort style brew pub.  After you've been to a few of them, they all begin to look the same.  For some reason this one reminds me of the brew pub at Breckinridge, CO.

Whenever I'm in town this place is always packed with lots of people.  I've actually by-passed it a few times because it looked too crowded and hectic.

If you're looking for casual pub fare on historic Main St with unique local beers at a great value (for Park City) - Wasatch is an excellent choice.  Solid 4.5 stars.

Atmosphere is rustic, laid back, ski town pub with a pleasantly mixed crowd. Server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and checked in with us often, but wasn't overbearing.

We went for lunch and the restaurant was about half full.  We started with the baby back ribs as an appetizer.  The pork was tender, falling off the bone, with a very good, slightly sweet sauce. An excellent start!  We each ordered a burger - my wife chose beef and I went with the buffalo. The beef was very good, but nothing special. The buffalo was excellent, cooked at the perfect temperature (as recommended by our server), tender, and an outstanding taste. Certainly beat my expectations.

We also enjoyed several of their beers. They offer 5oz pours which gave us the opportunity to sample almost everything they had to offer. Like other reviewers mentioned, the alcohol content is lower, and for serious beer connoisseurs looking for jaw dropping flavor Wasatch may not top the charts. But for a vast majority of beer drinkers, they offer enough variety and unique flavors to make for a really great drinking experience. The Jalapeno Cream Ale was a stand out and my wife really enjoyed the Raspberry Wheat.

We wrapped up lunch for about $70, which in Park City terms, is a great value.

In the context of pricey Park City, Wasatch offers a great casual alternative with good food, unique beers, and a laid back atmosphere at a reasonable price backed by solid service.

We keep coming back to Wasatch to try new brews, but mostly because it's the only game in town.  If you sit at the bar and have a conversation with the bartender, you can walk away knowing a lot about Wasatch and what they offer (my partner is a particular fan of their root beer).  If you sit elsewhere, however, you're likely to get an inexperienced server who is nervous around a group of people who are just stopping by for drinks, not dinner.  Also, stick to the beer (the margarita was weak and barely salted).

If you're craving a good hamburger or sandwich this is the place to be.
Nice and casual setting with great waitstaff!  Everyone was always smiling and looked happy to work here.  I had a cheeseburger and my hubby had the buffalo burger.  All was very good and the fries were awesome!  I had the Evolution Amber ale and it was very rich and nice!

It was our first day in Park City and this place came highly recommended among some locals in the area.  As a couple who enjoys the finer beers in life, we made this our first stop because this pub was known as the first brewery in the entire state of Utah.  We sat at the bar to meet some of locals, but only ran into others visiting from Michigan which seems to be a big trend.  Nonetheless, the fish tacos were a favorite here.  Being a native from southern California, the green sauce was a little heavy to my liking but the fish was seasoned well.  My husband tried the jambalaya.  Be careful because it's a little spicy.  The beers were pretty good.  May I recommend the High Rising.  It was a double ipa with 9%.  While it was bottled due to the drinking laws in Utah, it was still fresh.  However, they did have other beer on tap like Polygamy Porter.  This is a nice pit stop during the mid week if you are in the mood for good beer and some good laughs and hey the bartender Ryan doesn't make a bad margarita either.
Oh and don't forget the gift shop on your way out, they have the perfect gift for anyone who has a good sense of humor.

We've always been a fan of Wasatch Brew Pub.  It's right at the top of Old Main so it's convenient when we're going out.  Really close to the Egyptian Theater.

Reasonably priced compared to the other restaurants in PC, delicious food and great beer.  We especially like sitting out on the patio when it's warm.  I'm a big fan of the trout and the veggies are always wonderful.
