Being the soon to be wife of a platinum Marriott Rewards member, the perks just keep comin'! LOL
The service was phenomenal, and the location was awesome.
GeGe from the front desk was so personable & accommodating, and we really appreciated her humor as she rolled with the dry, ham bone flavor that my guy likes to embellish in.
Easy amenities with parking. Close restaurants. Perfect location right off the highway. -

I booked a room for my family(2 adults, 2 kids) a week before 12/31/11 for 1-night stay. You'd think they would give a room with 2 beds to accommodate, but they didn't. They said there wasn't a room available with 2 beds because they were fully booked and yet, every time we drove in-and-out of their 1 parking structure, there was hardly any cars parked. Oh, and be warned. They will charge you additional fees for parking. I was charged an additional $14 for it, and we stayed there for only 1 night!
So the room we had was o.k., but the location was bad. All I heard through my sleepless night was the ice machine and people filling up their ice buckets. The bathroom was gross. It smelled like urine and the shower was dirty with snot stuck on the shower wall. I was expecting it would be a cleaner bathroom, since it's a Marriott and not some cheap motel.
One positive thing I can write about is that they have a Starbucks in the lobby conveniently located by the elevators. I really needed that coffee after a sleepless night! -

I hope I can figure out how to upload a photo. The picture is of the view from my room--Room 620--in the Marriott Warner Center. For $169 + tax, this is the view you can expect:

I have two small dogs and when christmas rolls around it's always a pain to figure out how to travel with them down to LA. Well this marriott fit the bill. There were a lot of dogs there when we were there so we didn't feel awkward and generally the hotel is pretty nice. They charge a $75 pet fee which is kind of high since they also charge a $13 parking fee and most of the time the lot was just open so anyone could have just parked for free.
Another perk is that PF Chang's is right across the street so it's easy to just get something quick to eat without having to leave your dogs in the car all day. -

My work requires me to do a lot of business here, so I've had plenty of experience with this property.
For a business hotel, this is fine. Bright lobby, starbucks on site, self/valet parking, wifi, business center and close to the 101 freeway. It's one of the few options in the west valley and I definitely like it better than the nearby Hilton, but I don't love staying here. The rooms are sort of cramped. No real balconies and the rooms are just a bit dated. It's not too bad, but I've stayed at many Marriott's and this one could use a little "refresher".
For event planners: Ballroom/breakout space is ample and their catering is very good. (The meeting staff here is fantastic). They've got a cool outside event space that makes even the most corporate event feel cool and "lounge-y". (I think this is where they have the summer pool parties)
That being said, the staff is polite and compared to your other options, this may be your best bet. Unless you want to drive up the 101 to the Four Seasons and pay $100 more per night. Hope this helps! -

We were here to attend a friend's birthday party later in the evening. We arrived mid afternoon & met with up friends staying in the hotel for some pool time.
Parking: Multi-level structure connected to hotel. Self parking is $13; Valet is $19...we decided to self park and save the 6 bucks. Besides, I don't like strangers driving my truck & knew we'd have to come back retrieving & storing items throughout the day/night. It's quite the trek from parking to tower elevators, bar, front desk.
Pool(s): The outdoor bar was closed due to the rain/hail storm earlier in the day & there was no pool wait-staff. We had to trek it back to the hotel bar to order. There is absolutely NO glassware allowed outside the hotel & drinks will be served in plastic cups. Indoor pool was occupied with kids & their disinterested parents. Kinda cool that the work out equipment overlooks the indoor pool. Spa tub on a timer is large enough for 10-12 peeps without accidentally rubbing elbows.
Room: Instead of invading our friend's space in getting ready for the party, wifey decided we should just go ahead and splurge on a room. Better for me! More drink & no need to drive the 20 mile jaunt back to Glendale! AAA 15% discount, complementary breakfast & PARKING is FREE. The room was above par which included a mini-fridge, flat-screen, ipod-ready clock radio & most important of all...a comfy, clean, fresh bed. All was clean upon inspection & you definitely get what you pay for. Sunday morning the wifey slept in & I took it upon myself to head over to the front desk to request a late 1 p.m. check-out. No problem!
Indoor hotel bar: What? 8:30 a.m. the next morning & the bar is closed! I skipped over to the in-house Starbucks to get a small drip & bellied up to the unoccupied bar to watch CNN 9/11 emotional retrospect & on the other screen, ESPN in anticipation for the NFL Sunday season opener...a few minutes later I was greeted by the bar manager & asked if he could help with anything, gave him my deserved bloody mary order & he opened the bar early! Thank you thank you Manager Conrad! You rocked it the rest of the morning until our 12:30 p.m. departure.
All in all the Warner Center Marriott receives a solid 3.5 Stars!
This has been another deez® p.s.a. You know it, want it, deserve it. Enjoy the rest of the day/night. -

We had our company meeting here, using one of their suites in the hotel. The view from our room was beautiful since it was the top floor however that's really where it ends. Lighting in the room was poor. Lights were dim and the different bulbs were used (some were the energy saving blue bulbs and some were the regular yellow bulbs. The carpet, sofa and bathroom all had a very old feeling to it. There were two tvs in the suite both of which were 32 inches I think. The bed was probably the best part since I was able to sleep through the night or it was just that I was too tired from being up since 5am the previous day. Would I stay here again? Probably not but then again a suite at the Marriott is better than a room at the Days Inn.

The hotel was nice. The room was nice but stuffy. Our card was charged $800 for a three night stay as we checked in, even as they knew a corporate company was footing the bill.
Very hard to do anything here for under $15. Very few complimentary items were offered. I was scared to plug in my laptop for fear of being charged for power.
Internet access was 12.95 for 24 hours. I could not log in until noon or I would be charged an addition 12.95 for a couple hours of use.
For such a high caliber hotel, they could not provide a channel guide for the tv.
I am grateful that our company footed the bill for the hotel, as my money would be spent better some other place. All the nickel and diming has afforded them a nice pool and fitness area. -

Friendly staff, very welcoming.
The hotel is very well maintained and comfortable. The bed was fantastic and the windows were thick enough that we weren't bothered by any noises.
For breakfast, we went to the concierge lounge for some bacon, eggs and fresh fruit.
I'll definitely stay here again. -

Just on parking alone this place is ridiculous. If I'm staying at your hotel the very least you can do is make me think you are footing the bill for parking and make the price of the room a couple bucks higher. I came from Vegas where even valet is free anywhere you go and 13 dollars a night to park it myself is stupid, especially considering its quite a bit of a walk to get to the hotel lobby. During our stay here there was an incident where someone decided to destroy all evidence of their illegal activity inside the hotel by dumping several gallons of bleach all over everything. The smell was intoxicatingly strong and there were several cops hanging around not really doing anything except staring at it. I understand that police our not a cleaning crew but give me a break. You have guests staying in your hotel who may or may not be sensitive to this toxic smell. Do something about it. The hotel warned us that the only place you can smoke is out by the pool and that smoking in the room would be a 250 dollar fine which was fine, I understand most La places do this now. The thing that got me is when we did go out on the balcony and there was about 8 old cigarettes in the little bush and a couple wads of hair from someone cleaning out their brush or something. It was really gross. The rooms were a bit small and over all I think I will not be staying here again.

I went to another convention here, and as before, things were well-run. My friend's room was very nice, clean, and like all Marriotts, had gorgeous bedding.
The food at the luncheon was better than last year - a Mexican style salad with lots of chicken (though a bit dry...always an issue with catering style food, they were serving 300-400 people) but nice fresh avocado, good bread, good coffee - all important touches.
The banquet at night was a little better; candied walnut/grape/greens salad with a decent raspberry vinaigrette, stuffed chicken (nice and moist bc they left the skin on) with a delicious, garlicky, goat cheese stuffing, roasted squash and red pepper mix, and very good mashed garlic potatoes. Again, good bread, good coffee, and the coup de gras a stellar red-velvet cake with really real cream cheese frosting - to die for.
The service was excellent, esp considering this was a 1,000 person plus banquet. They got the food out fast and the the servers were on top of everything and very polite and friendly to boot.
Bonus: my server got me a box so I could take an extra piece of cake home, and he brought over another 3 pieces for me to take as well!! It's was a nice surprise when I opened the fridge today and saw my red velvet booty!! -

My husband and I were married here in December of 2009, and we, along with our guests, were very satisfied with this hotel for the most part.
It may have been the fact that we were paying quite a bit of money to the hotel for our event, but it's likely that service is just good. We usually only stay in Marriott brand hotels, and have had very few let-downs from them. The entire staff was extremely helpful and generous for the entire weekend, and our families agreed.
The lobby is beautiful in December. Very tastefully decorated for Christmas. It's a nice atmosphere to just sit around and hang out with family/friends. The restrooms downstairs are really nice and very clean. There's a nice little Starbucks in the lobby if you're looking for a quick drink fix early or late.
We took advantage of the great outdoor area with the fountain/firepit. We spent a lot of time sitting out there and socializing with friends and family. The pool/gym area are also pretty nice. There's not a ton of gym equipment, but what they had worked properly and looked clean.
The rooms are pretty standard for Marriott hotels. They're updated here, so the decor and furniture is all very sleek and modern. They're reasonably sized, with the king room having a sitting area and a desk. We actually traveled with our two large dogs and had plenty of space to set up their crates. Our dogs had a blast here, and got plenty of attention from everyone.
We had the breakfast buffet at the hotel restaurant twice, and we loved it. In terms of a breakfast buffet, I felt the quality of the food was slightly higher than typical breakfast buffets, and the selection was reasonable.
As for the event itself, almost everything the hotel handled met or exceeded my expectations. If you're looking to have a wedding in the SoCal area at a decent hotel without breaking the bank, this location should definitely be considered.
My one major complaint is the white outdoor chairs that were used for my indoor ceremony were dirty. I was told they would be washed for my wedding, but was disappointed to hear from guests that they showed lots of black scuffs and some were even wet...I have no idea why...
Otherwise, the ceremony went just fine. The wedding coordinator. Diane, provided by the hotel, was extremely helpful throughout the planning stages and the day of. We really appreciate that the hotel accommodated to our two large dogs. We were even able to have them in the wedding ceremony :)
The reception was beautifully set up and the wait staff was fabulous. They were very attentive to assisting myself, my husband, and our families throughout the entire evening. We had a buffet dinner and received nothing but compliments on the hor d'oeuvres, dinner food, and desserts. The food never stopped refilling and my only complaint was that there was tons of food leftover afterwards--all went to waste, I'm sure. I'll shed a silent tear right now for all that wasted, delicious food.... I'm not sure about one of the reviews that complains about the food service for events through the hotel--but we were very impressed with the quality/taste of the food for our event. Maybe the kitchen staff has undergone some changes since that review. -

I had to stay here for a week for work training. I have to say, it was a wonderful experience... Let me break it down.
Staff: Every member of the Marriott staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. Whether it was the front desk, housekeeping, Breeze restaurant, Q Bar, Pool Bar, whatever - everyone was fantastic.
Food: Everything comes out of the Breeze restaurant... Some stuff was 'meh' - the Rotisserrie Chicken for example, comes drenched in some sweet chili sauce, very unappetizing - but you know what? You can request it without, so that was fine. The breakfast buffet - I looked forward to EVERY day. The best things they have would be the fresh cooked-to-order Omelette station, the apple crepes (my FAVORITE ever) and the Chicken Crepes... Overall, everything was pretty darn good.
Bar: I feel SOOOO bad... There is a bartender here, Kory. He was amazing. Super nice, fun to talk to and made the BEST drinks... My last night here, I left without closing out (completely forgot) - meaning they only charge the drinks to the card on file, without tip. I will have to make it up someday... so anyways, if you ever come by here - look for Kory at either of the bars and ask for a Miami Ice or Old Fashioned, it will blow you away....and add in a couple extra bucks tip for me, yes? ;)
Rooms: The beds are soooo comfy. The pillows are amazing... I slept like a rock, every night here! I loved it! I am actually thinking of buying a Marriottt braded bed now.... Room and bathroom were clean, no issues whatsoever.
They also have a pretty decent sized gym for use, dry saunas, an indoor pool and outdoor pool, indoor jacuzzi.....
If I sell well enough, ill be back for another company training in 2yrs lol - I look forward to it. -

There are a few hotels in the Warner Center area, with the Hilton and Marriott being the first choices for places near my WC office. I live an hour away in the Ojai Valley, so I occasionally stay near the office during extended projects or when I have a very early morning or late night.
My last stay at the Hilton wasn't bad, but I had a few issues with the cleanliness of the bathroom that I won't go into here - let's just say I decided to check out the Marriott this time.
Both Hilton and Marriott in the neighborhood charge for parking (self and valet), and it isn't cheap. Both charge extra for internet access for normal guest rooms (Hilton throws it in with a "business package").
The rates at the Marriott were cheaper when I set up my reservation a couple days in advance, and on the website - about half the rate as a traveler just checking in on the last day of my stay (~100 vs ~200).
The restaurant and bars are nice, if a little sterile, and there are smallish outdoor and indoor pools, an indoor spa and workout room. The Starbucks in the lobby is great when running out the door in the morning.
The staff are accommodating and polite.
Sundays is evidently "Splash," a pool party at the outdoor pool and bar.
Watching from the restaurant, it was a rather sad and douchey display, including a fair number of twenty-somethings spending their paychecks on overpriced drinks. A couple of red-eyed neophytes in Ed Hardy T-shirts postured threateningly at one another, prompting security to separate them. It was a nice bit of asshole dinner theater that kept us entertained for a few minutes.
Overall, the room was comfortable, clean, and the rate was outstanding. I stayed three nights over the course of a project, and every night I looked forward to tucking into that nice, soft bed and getting a couple hours of deep, uninterrupted sleep before heading back to the office.
I think this is my new home-at-the-Warner-Center hotel. -

Granada Hills, CA
If you are facing the pool/freeway... Saturday = music until after 1am - even on the 8th floor with the window closed, it was too loud. Sunday they have parties starting at 2 - so loud again. If you are 20 and want to dance by a pool, it's probably a good choice. If you have any work/sleep to do, this is probably a bad choice, which also goes with the expensive slow internet access...

Sacramento, CA
Driving down from Sacramento to the Valley - it was so good to plop down on those comfy beds. The weird thing is that the pillows were pretty darn awful. They were like those weird square pillows you find on fancy couches...somebody please fix the pillow situation here.
The place was fairly spotless and the staff were very nice and accommodating (well, this is stuff you should expect from a hotel).
I like the location because it's right by these really nice shopping centers that have a pretty good variety of food.
When I asked the front desk person about running in the area - they actually had some maps of routes that came recommended by runners who stayed at the location.
My major gripe is the poor design of the gym and pool. The indoor pool and gym are in the same room. The last thing I want while lifting weights is the smell of chlorine and the banshee like screams of unruly children who's ed hardy board short wearing father is failing to monitor. I must say that the indoor pool and outdoor pools are pretty sweet.
Oh - crabtree and evelyn products in the bathroom were pretty sweet.
With the service and everything I would say a pretty good 3.5. -

Hermosa Beach, CA
This is one of the more expensive hotels in the area and you wouldn't know it. The internet goes in and out, the shower pressure is awful and the rooms are hideous.
I agree with the poster who says that the pool and gym needs to be separated. Who wants to hear screaming children EVER, much less when trying to work out.
I just don't get how they can charge so much. I have stayed in Courtyard's that were cleaner and better maintained.
The parking lot is a walk to the hotel, which is obnoxious. The only good part is that this is by the amazing Topanga mall. -
Review from Sunil R.
It was an up and down experience.
Started with a downer, parking is extra and expensive. Odd for a subarban hotel location.
The lobby and bar are nice, they have a Starbucks which I am sure many will appreciate.
Found out that Internet is extra on top of what seems like a lot of money for a very average room! The room itself smelled pretty musty and dated.
The gym was a pleasant surprise right by the indoor pool. -

Los Angeles, CA
These poor, poor people. Did anyone call and warn them that OUR family was staying here for my cousin Katie's wedding? Our gigantic (60+) and undescribably (crazy) energetic family???
This was our home base, between the rehearsal dinner and the actual wedding about 10 miles away. I first arrived upon the scene at the bar, greeting my cousin Sammy and her folks who flew into town. We sat and had a beer at the bar, which was tended by the sweetest man I've met in ages... Farroukh! Congenial and funny, he served us with a twinkle in his eye and a down-to-earth manner... dude, I LOVED that guy.
The next day, I arrived early to do my cousin Kelly's makeup and found the rooms to be spacious and comfy, with high-thread count sheets and plush mattresses, and flat-screen TVs. My cousin's hair and dress and the works were done in her suite, with champagne and shots of Patron flowing!
Then, the volcano erupts!!!
We returned to the hotel after the most beautiful, touching and raucous weddings I have yet to see in my existence.. yet be a part of as a bridesmaid!!! Partying only the way my family knows how.... meaning we were a CYCLONE of loud and HAPPY and booze and electric fuckin' energy. Running down the hallways with 6-packs in our hands.... screaming and laughing. Security was called on us at least 3 times. I was talking to my cousins and I took a drunken fall in their room, taking out half the stuff on the shelf. Then a voyage to another room and another room and another room.... I was lost and I had the night in me!!! Security came again. My cousins and I roaring with laughter, yelling with memories, running down the halls, shrieking with drunken happiness... security was called again.
Around 3am, me, my mama, and my cousins Kelly, Amy, and Mandy were in the smoking area, rapping and chainsmoking... when a strange man approaches us and decides to sit and smoke with us. This man, who I can only describe as someone you'd meet at a convention for something odd and obscure and specific... but I digress. This poor, weird hotel guest who we dubbed "Jon Yon" was a good sport.... putting up with us messing up his hair, giving him nougies, cackling at him like hyenas, yelling at him and barraging him with questions.... that tornado hit that poor man and he had no idea how to handle it. (Security was called again)
I finally got to my ultra comfortable bed at whoknows when... and flicked completey off, like a decrepit old TV with a bad switch. The beds were like clouds, the room like the darkness of the womb... I woke up the next morning wanting to absolutely die, but I was happy that I stayed at this most accomodating (and forgiving) of hotels. -
Review from David O.
Walnut Creek, CA
The Marriott serves Sunday Brunch starting at 11 AM. My wife and I had been wanting to try it a few times, but we're usually way past thinking about Brunch at 11, so we never made it here... until yesterday. We slept in late and didn't feel like making breakfast, so off to the Marriott we went.
Valet parking is $5 if you validate. It's free with validation if you self-park, but we felt like being indulgent, so we opted for Valet. Now the breakfast room is on the ground floor straight back when you enter the hotel lobby. We were lucky enough to get there right before the crowds, but it was still pretty busy by the time we left. Price per person for Champagne brunch is $29.95... Kind of pricey for what you get... I probably would've given 'em 5 stars if the price had been a mere 5 dollars less... We had an incredible brunch at the Ritz Carlton Kapalua Bay for $25/person, and I assure you it was better than this brunch... Still, let me explain... I'm not bashing it or anything.
They have an omelet and waffle station, and they have a completely separate pasta and meat station, where you can get a nice piece of turkey or steak. I'm not that into meat and pasta for brunch isn't my thing, so I skipped them altogether. I did have, though, a very nice omelet with onions, mushrooms, and cheese. Well prepared and plenty cheesy. Nice job.
They also serve sushi, which I skipped since, even if I'm not an expert, I still have way too much of a sophisticated sushi palate to go for buffet sushi. They had a decent assortment of cheeses and fruits. They also had all the standards: eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. Finally, they had a beautiful spread of desserts most of which, my wife noted, were Pastries by Edie. Yummy! I had the cheesecake and it was fabulous.
The downers: service was spotty. Our waitress was nice enough and was more than accommodating in bringing us water, OJ, and coffee refills, but they didn't have any kind of breads or croissants. When we asked her, she gave us the option of white or wheat toast. WTF? No croissants, pain au chocolat, bagels even? Apparently not, so that was a downer. I don't know if that's standard practice or if their order didn't come in for some reason.
I'd come back, mainly because it's walking distance to our house and it's still a nice treat as far as Sunday Brunch is concerned. Have I had better? Most definitely, and like I said... $29.95/person is pretty expensive for that kind of breakfast. Still, if you feel indulgent, it looks like it's your best bet as far as Sunday Brunch in the 91367. -
Review from Lissa G.
This review is limited to parking and the general ballroom areas.
There were no valet guys in sight, although the valet lot had cars in it. Self-parking isn't terrible, but it's quite expensive and a bit of a hike then to the hotel, particularly in 4inch Choos. The event we were at allowed us to pay for parking in advance for only 6 bucks instead of the $1.20 for every 20 minutes or 12 bucks maximum. That was nice, until we went to leave and saw the gate wide open with no attendant. We didn't have to pay at all but got ripped off!
At the event the drinks were fairly weak (8-10 bucks a pop if you call your liquor) and the room was uninspiring. It was for a good cause so I'm glad I went, but paid too much for too little. -
Review from Sam H.
I typically stay in more affordable hotels when traveling to Calabasas for meetings; but this time the company splurged for the international marketing seminar in January.
I believe the rooms run around 200 a night during the winter months. This does not include internet (13 daily) or parking (another 15 daily) so total cost is closer to 250 a night.
1. There is a Starbucks in the lobby. Very convenient.
2. The Bar in the lobby is perfect when you finish a 10 hour day of meetings. "You mean I can charge all the drinks to the company..err, I mean my room? Another round!"
3. Location is just off the 101 freeway, next to a shopping mall with standard mall chain restaurants.
4. There is an In N Out two miles away! I was slightly inebriated one night and did not want to to drive for a double-double animal style so I jumped in a cab at the hotel and cruised through the drive thru. It turned a 4 dollar meal into 20 bucks, but In N Out at 1 am when you are drunk is well worth it.
5. The room was nicely appointed and the bed was comfortable. What else can you ask for...
6. The restaurant in the lobby sucks, skip it and head across the street to the mall. -

Stayed here a few days ago. Not a 5 star but a good 3 star to 4 star hotel. In a decent location. Rooms are nice and somewhat spacious. My room had a balcony - that was nice. Room was around 115.00 per / night. Far less then other comparable hotels. Yes - you can find better places -but $115.00 in So Cal for a nice place - with good 3 star service, clean, nice pool (no jacuzzi after 12) and friendly staff.

Review from Linda C.
So -- here are the issues with the place:
- Breakfast buffet is kind of ho-hum for the price. Room service would have been a better choice.
- Internet is extra. Why don't they just roll it into the room rate?
- Parking, like the Hilton, is on a daily rate. It's a little annoying to have to walk outside to get there, but whatevs.
However, if you have to be in Woodland Hills, this place is much better than the Hilton. Rooms are newer, location is great, and bedding is comfortable. -

Marriot hotels strive for quality and the Warner Center lives up to the reputation.
A Starbucks on location....
A very nice bar with comfortable lounge areas and tables for casual meetings and discussions.
I had a quality "rocket fuel" Margarita prepared with Casa Noble tequila.
A super treat ....
The rooms are not huge, but they have all the necessities you need including a large work desk.
The staff are all super friendly and very accomodating to your needs.
The valet service was excellent.
Front desk check in was fast and the people were very efficient.
All in all, a fine place to stay

Fremont, CA
wow this hotel was totally an unexpected surprise!
1st off i'm gonna say i might be biased cuz my stay was free from work.
rooms were reallllly nice. beds were suppppppppperrr comfy. lots of big fluffy pillows! they have an ipod mp3 player speaker thingy that you can connect your mp3 player to and listen.. It was veryyy convenient, i loved it! theres also a desk in the room, convenient for those traveling for business or need to study. there's also a huge power plug board thing behind the tv, which has 8 sockets? (is that the right word?), and ports for other stuff, like if you were to bring a dvd player or ps2 or something, i think it would work.
the tv is kinda annoying and funny, the channels change really slow.. the tv guide/programming w/the hotel is kinda annoying.. they run ads on the main screen that insert a tidbit about their XXX programs every minute...inbetween advertising the kid stuff. Altho, they do have a bunch of free programs that are cool.. a free viewing of an upcoming tv show, some free workout vids (i made use of the yoga stuff :D)
theres also these convenient drawers underneath the TV to put clothes and stuff, i loveeed that. also alot of hangers in the closet.. also an iron and board! they also provide plenty of towels of different sizes for all the drying needs a body might have.
the maids are veryyyy immaculate and good with replacing the toiletries.
breakfast buffet was yummmmmmie. the waffles/omelette station was heaven! the chef that cooks for you is super sweet too. the muffins were yummm. boo that their bagel selection didn't include blueberry (thats the best one!) yay for fresh fruit, esp the grape fruit and watermelon. hot oatmeal and granola, and yogurt too! and the usual bacon, sausage, egg, potatoes etc. Waiters were pretty good with their service of getting drinks even tho the breakfast hour was pretty packed.
i ordered room service food once, really late, at last call (so maybe thats why it wasn't on par)...i got a seared ahi tuna salad that tasted like complete shit: the tuna wasn't seared, the olives were super salty and sour, the potatoes were purple but they didn't taste like the japanese purple yams i thought they were, the dressing which was a simple vinaigrette was nasty too. food was also supposed to come with some veggies and ranch dip, but they forgot it...
at the actual bar/restaurant.. the sandwiches and fries look good. i ordered a mojito one night (a friend ordered one earlier that week too) and the soda they used from tap at the bar was stale. it ruined the whole drink. i asked that they do it again using soda from a fresh bottle, and this time it came out crisp and refreshing.
outdoor and indoor pool, decent sizes for both. indoor hot tub was definitely fun. also has saunas in the bathroom/locker rooms. indoor gym equipped with lots of weights and treadmills. also an outdoor patio/fire area with couches and such where it was fun to hang out and drink.
i didn't actually go to the "vegas style" pool party on sunday, cuz it seemed pretty cheesy and tacky.. music was way loud, i heard there were gogodancers going around spraying people with squirt guns.. Definitely unclassy, but hey if you're a tourist and never experienced that type of thing, then go toot your horn, or vice versa..
convenient starbucks located inside hotel lobby!
also overpriced hertz rental car station inside hotel too.
beware of the business computer center, its about a 6$ flat fee for 15 min of use, and $1 per page to print if i remember correctly.
altho there is a convenient computer located in the lobby to print out boarding passes for free :) -

This is a review of their weekday lunch buffet, their lounge and their general lobby area.
1) The restaurant: nice with a high ceiling and skylight lighting (atrium style);
2) The service: courteous;
3) The weekday lunch buffet price: $12 per person includes soda;
4) The food selection: not much;
5) What I liked among the food selection: the baked salmon--very tasty;
6) What I hated among the food selection: the dessert of two cakes. One tasted like it was scrimping on ingredients. I didn't bother tasting the other. Marriott should have contracted Starbucks (one is located in the lobby) to provide the dessert;
7) The lounge: okay but one sofa has stains on it; and
8) The restroom: clean but it only has cold water. Imagine washing your hands with "brrrrr" water. -

This is a rant but one that effect everyone! Everyday things are left in a hotel room big or small, cheap or expensive, meaningful or not. At nice hotels you can pretty much guarantee that your item will be in lost and found regardless of how small or cheap. As a hotel employee and business traveler I can attest to that. This place is not the Econo Lodge but their housekeeping/loss prevention policies are worse than poor ole Econo Lodge. Its simple, I pack my bags, get on an airplane, fly home and unpack them not to find it...wait, I used it this morning in the hotel, now its not there...LOGIC says I left it in the hotel room or my packed bag was robbed by baggage handlers after I checked it under the scrutiny of TSA...you decide!

I recently attended a party in the function room, and let me tell you, the service is HORRIBLE. Here's what happened:
We were served salad with either vinaigrette or caesar dressing. The caesar was quickly finished by our table and we proceeded to ask for more dressing. One waiter said, "Yes ma'am, coming up" and the waitress said, "I'll get it for you". It took a while so we asked the waiter and waitress where our dressing was and they brushed us off and told us it was on its way. 20 minutes pass and no dressing. A woman at our table got up and ordered for the manager to come to our table. He asked what the problem was, and we explained the situation, and he said that the dressing will be on its way. 10 minutes later he brought back vinaigrette dressing! Our table complained some more and he brought back the caesar. A few minutes later, the useless waiter brought some caesar dressing and tried to apologize but the damage was done and told him that the dressing wasn't necessary anymore.
Marriott waiters and waitresses, DO YOUR JOB--and if you can't, say so or get someone else to do it for you. 30 minutes for salad dressing? COME ON.
2 stars for the exquisite tomato bisque, but that's about it. -

Best thing about this hotel is that it's pet friendly! It's reasonably priced even with a dog...I think It's an extra $30 with a pet for your whole stay. The pet floor was clean & didn't smell like a kennel, the room was nice and I like the location. Right across some big malls & near that Calabassas outdoor area. They also have a pool party every Sunday which was crazy! Felt like I was in Vegas...many scantily clad women!! and unfortunately many tattooed juice heads. I recommend this place though...it's all about traveling with the pooch!!!

I stayed b/c it was pet friendly and seemed good for families and it was the highest star I could get in the area. I drove 3 hours with my toddler, 2 dogs. when checking in this was around 6:30pm, not even busy check in time, they made me wait 40 minutes, until my room was ready. I got a basic room, not anything special, they should have had it ready when the reservation was for 4 days and booked in advance. I requested a fridge for my childs foods when i reserved the room. at check in he confirmed with me the fridge. When we finally got into the room 50 min.later there was no fridge. Called down they said they were out. It was a thursday. He said he would put me on the waiting list and that i was second on list. I never heard back from him the rest of the stay.
Poolside service was horrific. Both waitresses we had on separate days did not make their way around the pool area. and kept serving the same people. Each time we waited about an hour before we ourselves flagged them down. One time we ordered about $50 worth of just food (tuna tartare, buffalo wings, and a burger, for just two of us. We told her twice we needed silverware and napkins she never brought them. My husband went to the bar they said they dont serve food so they have nothing, then finally he went to the front desk of the hotel and said we needed silverware to eat our food, and they said they dont allow silverware there and gave him one plastic fork! We were trying to have a leisurely family vacation home away from home and this was sadly one of my worst stays, lack of customer service, acknowledged nothing, poolside service was awful.
The hotel itself was nice, rooms were nice, and the valet was great. -

I stayed at this particular hotel for a month on business, so I feel like I know this place pretty well.
PROS: The mattresses are very comfortable and the bedding is cozy. There is a Starbucks in the lobby. There is a nice bar with excellent happy hour specials. They offer free happy hour appetizers. It is across the street from a shopping mall and movie theater. Convenient access to the 101.
CONS: Like many hotels, you have to pay for parking, which is annoying. And it's kinda expensive -- $13/day for regular parking, $19 for valet. -

Have been here many times for different functions, and its fine when you get an outside caterer. However the food they prepare in the hotel is total crap.
Otherwise its a mediocre place for a wedding reception or business meeting. -

This is the best kept secret in town for lunch. Have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed.
It seems strange to me that there are so few people using this restaurant for lunch. The prices are fair, the service and attitude of the servers couldn't be better and the food is excellent.
I almost feel guilty for not eating here more often. -

I havent stayed at this hotel but I did attend the Splash Sundays pool party on August 15th. I had so much fun that I wanted to write a review. So before I hit the party I read some reviews on here and wow some of these people are really old and uptight. Its really alot of fun. So first the security were really friendly and went out of their way to help me find my shirt which I lost. They also did a good job of breaking up arguments before they turned into any fights. There were lots of hot girls in bikinis but I think some were hired models. The guys definitely outweighed the girls so hopefully more girls will attend, but then again not too many girls now adays are in the shape to wear a bikini. The crowd was really cool and friendly. They have an indoor and outdoor pool and huge jacuzzi. I had a ton of fun and really think this is how southern california should be ... girls in bikinis, chilling in the pool and fun people. The only gripe I had is it was really difficult to order food. The waitresses were too busy serving drinks and they didnt let me go into the hotel to get food. Besides that it was alot of fun and I'm going back next sunday.
