As of expected of any Marriott, it's one of the nicer hotels out there. This one is no exception.
-Interior
As you walk into the lobby you'll notice the dining area to the right and the front table to your left. It's a nice place to be and sometimes they got someone to play some smoothing music on the piano.
The rooms are nice, the one I stayed in had two beds, a tv, a table to do some work, a chair with a small table to do some other stuff, drawers, closet, and a nice restroom. I had to ask for a fridge to be sent up to my room (free).
-Service
Room service is great, every day they come and change towels, vacuums, makes the beds, you walk back into your room with a pleasant scent. If you have trash items too large or plates you got from room service, just leave it outside and they'll pick it up shortly. We also received free USA Today newspapers every morning.
-Food
Can't rate much here because I never ate here, but it's kind of pricey for what I would pay for so no points gained or loss in this department from me.
A good hotel BUT no free wifi, $5 for a 24 hour period, which is what I'm on right now typing this Yelp review. If they offered free wifi then it would be a great hotel, alas they don't so they get 4 stars.

Room:Perfect
Bed: Comfortable
AC/DC: Did not blow on my face
Shower: Amazing, soothing
Flat Screen TV, wide selection of channels to choose from, club level amenities were great. Front Desk near perfect in handling our check in process. They made great recommendations for restaurants, they shuttled us over to the restaurant and picked us up as well.
This was a great experience from beginning to end.

I rate hotel experiences by the efficiency, toiletries, comfort of bed, room service and gym.
*Valet service was a breeze.
*Check in was quick and painless.
*My fridge came within minutes of my request.
*Toiletries by Bath & Body Works-a pleasant orange ginger scent.
*Extended Comcast, I gotta have my Food Network.
*Room service was good and I slept like a baby!
*The gym was clean, cardio machines w/tvs, updated weights, had separation & gym wipes!

I've stayed here several times, and frequently run into problems with little things at this hotel. For example, one time I was charged for my room, and also charged for not showing up on my reservation the same night. I have had several nights where the freeway noise bothered me. The gym was recently remodeled, but it has very poor ventilation and smells funny.
I have better experiences at a similar price at the Embassy Suites nearby.
Im actually sitting in my room writing my review on my last day here. I have to admit that I am usually a Hilton fan, but this hotel isnt that bad. I would rather have gotten my Hilton points for this but my company apparently doesnt have any Hilton properties with 10 miles of my client (huh??)
Anyway, the hotel itself is pretty nice and the front desk staff is friendly and cordial. I was a little peeved about having to valet since I was carrying a lot of computer equipment and the only option for self-parking meant I had to park 2 blocks away. The cost for valet was $16 a night (which is a little steep considering that I can valet in New York City for $20) and this is nowhere near the size nor scope of a NYC hotel.
The food offerings are somewhat limited for room service but have a little bit of everything. The food is, of course, overpriced, but is a pretty good quality. I had the $9 bowl of French Onion soup which was pretty flavorful, had lots of cheese on it and was only slightly oversalted.
I nearly choked though when I saw that they were charging $3.75 for a 10oz bottle of soda to have with dinner but as a captive in the hotel due to work, I had no choice but to cave and order it or just drink water (which with dinner would be very bland)
They do have pretty good bath products and I took a bunch home with me since I liked them and they kept replenishing them in my room.
Other than that, the beds arent anything special and the hotel air conditioning, IMHO, stinks. I like it COLD when I sleep. The stupid A/C kept cutting off after 10 minutes of running and I had to go and set it back to HI. It has one of those stupid sensors though and I think those are the biggest PITA ever for people like me who like it cold.
Anyway, a good hotel, not a bad price (minus valet), but could be so much better.
The hotel itself was clean + shiny, but the free parking lot was a 10 min. walk away under a highway ramp (not very inviting), and did not seem monitored at night. If you want to park at the hotel, you pay for valet. For this reason, I would not recommend this hotel. Not so fun to lug your bags across 2 crosswalks. 5-10 min. drive to lots of different shopping areas, from kohl's type to fancypants (coach, bcbg, etc.).
Shiteous.
I paid $63 for one night at this hotel on Priceline. Pretty decent, yes. No complaints there. But holy effing moley, there was no self-parking this weekend. I don't know if there's no self-parking USUALLY, or if it was because there was a special event. I couldn't be bothered to ask. I sucked it up and paid an extra $11 for valet parking, and now I'm whining about it on Yelp.
Okay, but nothing special. Expensive parking and no other options. Right on freeway so if you sleep lightly, make sure you are on the other side. For the money go with the Courtyard in Pleasant Hill if you want the Marriott Points.
Service in reastaurant at breakfast has been hit or miss, but the crunchy french toast is good stuff.
I liked it. $57 on Priceline.
Had a room that faced the freeway & was about 20 feet from the slow lane ... and the noise wasn't that bad.
Extra comfy bed with lots of pillows, down comforter and a pillow-top mattress.
Valet parking $16 unless you want to park your car a couple of blocks away and walk back.
Stayed here for 2 nights
The Good:
Got it on Priceline, $65 @ night
Clean
When I called for more towels, within 5 minutes the towels were delivered.
The Bad:
Required Valet Parking: I hate suburban valet parking
After checking in, every time I returned to the hotel the keycard failed to work, back to the front desk for new keycards.
Clean, (they even tell you that you have "NEW BEDDING") and easy to find from the freeway. Front desk not as smart as they should be, valet seemed more intent on getting tips than actually helping you, but at least there were no dead bodies underneath the bed (that we know of, we didn't check).
Wouldn't stay there again, unless there's another event we're attending that's within, say, 5 miles. Otherwise, go with the Claremont in Berkeley or drive to San Francisco.

Stayed here for 3 nights and overall it was a good experience
The Good:
1) VERY friendly staff! All of them willing to help and always pleasant!
2) Good sized room with nice updated fixtures
3) Clean and secure
4) Good Breakfast buffet!! For the price it was well worth it!!
The Bad:
1) Noisy. While most of it was due to the guests (can't fully blame Marriott for that) there were times that the maids or service men were unusually loud. And we had a room that looked onto the lobby/bar area and the piano could be heard in our room. Wasn't so bad except one night I was feeling ill and wanted to go to bed early
2) Required Valet Parking... We would use valet parking anyway but I think they should at least offer the option
Definitely would stay there again!
Must have been at least six years since Ive stayed here, and it was a one night visit at the time. One horrible night!
The room was wonderful, the staff at the front desk were very nice, flirtatious, yet professional. They have a restaurant or bar I believe which looked nice but I was under age at the time, didnt even get carded for the room which earned them bonus points!
The gentleman at the front insisted on carrying my one bag so I let him. The room was a king, had all the features you would expect, was clean, bright, smelled good, etc.
Cant say anything bad about this place!! I went here for my Junior Prom and the ballroom is very glamorous...nice classy spot!!
10 reasons why I will stay at the Walnut Creek Marriott again.
1. The front desk guy let 7 people stay in one room (the limit is 4).
2. We were not asked to take our beers elsewhere when we were hanging out in the lobby or outside smoking.
3. The room was ridiculously clean and comfortable.
4. Housekeeping did not complain when we called for a roll away bed really late at night.
5. The bathtub fit a ton of ice, 3 18 packs of Bud Light, and a tub of cream cheese.
6. They have travel size bath & body works products in the bathroom.
7. Upon discovering no cab would take us through the Jack in the Box drive through at 2 AM one of the valet guys offered to take us. (We tipped him really well)
8. The beds are incredibly comfortable.
9. The soundproofing in the rooms is amazing. There was a wedding and a 30 year class reunion in the hotel when we were there. Everyone was up late partying and we never heard a thing.
10. They did not kick us out for any of our shenanigans.

Review of sunday brunch...went there for mother's day. Service was lousy, we had to flag down anyone passing by just to get drinks after waiting 10 minutes. And then had to keep flagging down staff when we needed drink refills or plates cleared away. Food was terrible. Their buffet consisted of cheeses, breads, and fruits but you could only order one entree off their menu. I got some kind of steak egg benedict which I took one bite of and pushed aside. their dessert table was decent. Would not go back again.
