Normally, I hate Walmart. Well, perhaps not so much the corporate or business side of the company, but the people that frequent it. That reasoning aside, this Walmart is the better of the two in Idaho Falls.
It should be noted that these two Walmarts do carry some different products, since their stock comes from two different distributors. You might not notice it mostly, but look at the seasonal department for a particular holiday and you'll notice items that are here that aren't at the other Walmart in town.
Also, this Walmart is cleaner, more modern and how did I wait this long to mention that they have tons of self-checkout stations - one of the best inventions in the history of forever. The only con is its location, as the other Walmart is closer to my apartment, and thus I suffer there more often than not. -

I came here the day after Christmas with my sister because she needed to buy half priced Christmas ornaments. Yes, God Bless America. This was the same as every other WalMart I've ever been to. So the shopping experience was...adequate. I don't know what else you can possibly call a WalMart experience.

I usually can't stand going into walmart. I don't want to be part of the crowd going after the cheapest deal. I actually prefer Kelloggs or Post frosted mini wheats as opposed to say Albertsons generic brand frosted mini wheats and I'm willing to pay the extra money for it. My experience is that cheap equals cheap.
Recently it was my cousins turn to buy shampoo for our home and he came home with Suave. It had to be the worst garbage I've ever washed my hair with. It left my hair feeling dry, brittle, and unmanageable. He also came home with some Safeguard soap that left me smelling worse than I did before I showered. I think his desire to save a dollar at the expense of other peoples happiness led him to live somewhere else.
Yesterday I was going to buy shampoo and conditioner at Albertsons but the prices have so outrageously skyrocketed that I was either going to stop washing my hair or else go to Walmart. So I went to Walmart. The line took forever to get through. I've had a problem with my left eye for over a year now and they had an optometrists office right in front of my checkout line. It turns out I have a bacterial infection in my eye and am now on my way to having an effective left eye again, as it's been virtually useless to me. For convenience on the upside but long lines and fiendish crowds on the downside I give Walmart 4 stars for yesterdays service. -

I was visiting this WalMart* with my dad. He needed beer and this was the most convenient choice. He doesn't like how far back in the store it is located (he's getting old). This is a unique WalMart* as it has a fly fishing supply shop (run by WalMart*) in the front alongside the Idaho Central Credit Union [good people, great hours], the Smart Style Salon, WalMart Optical and SubWay.
Yes, all of those except the fishing shop make this a standard supercenter. My dad had to show his ID to the clerk twice when self checking as apparently ID verification must be made for each item scanned. Inefficient!
I personally was annoyed as WalMart* does not sell lottery products, apparently. I wanted to try my luck in a state that allows it. -

Walmart is walmart.....they've got everything from lawn care, toys, beauty, clothing, electronics, groceries, auto care and more....if you've got several errands to run why not do it all in one place....the prices really are generally the best in comparison to other stores and usually conveniently located.
