I took my car in to get the upholstery on my roll bar fixed, and also get my old cracked sun visors re-covered, Wally did a PERFECT job with both, all for less then the cost of new reproduction sun visors! (it's an old sports car).
I couldn't be more happy with their work.
I have been going here for my classics (and non-classics) for over twenty years. It's a family business so not large and generic.Very reasonable in cost and accomodating on short notice.I am getting ready to bring in my new 1963 Buick Riviera for interior work and I can't wait to see what they will do.A++ business and I highly recommend!
Like Joe, I'm a big guy who trashed his driver's seat. An unbelievably nice employee at the BMW dealership took me aside and explained they'd charge me $1100 for a new seat (srsly!) and suggested Wally's. Awesome idea.
They repaired and reinforced the seat frame, fixed the worn interior stuffing, and put a new cover on for a fraction of the price, fixed some loose panels in the passenger foot-well perfectly, and replaced both side elements of the cloth convertible top. Still way, way, way less than just a new seat.
AND they're welding the oven drawer from my mother-in-law's ancient GE kitchen appliance! This place is awesome!
Joe at Wally's Auto Upholstery took great care of me and my car this week. The cloth headliner in my early '90s VW Passat was coming down and not only did they have the lowest price ($100 less than the next higher quote), it was done in 24 hours. They did a great job! I'm very pleased; the falling headliner had been bothering me for two years and now it's all happy.
Big guys like me (6'4", 288 lbs) can put a lot of wear and tear on the interior of our vehicles. I thought the backrest on the driver's seat on my Mazda Protege was done for. It was leaning way back and listing heavily to one side. I pictured myself forking out big bucks at the dealership to have the thing replaced. Wally's to the rescue! Actually, Joe was the guy in charge. He confirmed that indeed the backrest was totally messed up, but said a little welding and reinforcement would do the trick. It was ready later that day and didn't cost an arm and a leg. Joe and his helpers seemed real nice too. Hopefully, it'll be awhile before I trash anything else inside my car, but if I do, I'm definitely going back to Wally's.
I just got my custom vintage motorcycle seat done by them and am super happy! I'm very meticulous and picky so I was scared that it wasn't going to be to my standards (I've seen other custom seats done by others and was super dissapointed and thought the craftmanship was poor so i was naturally scared). It's done amazingly well, although a bit on the pricey side, I think it was worth it. They have been around for 40 or 50 years I believe so they're doing something right.
These guys totally rule. They did a new seat (interior and exterior) for my 80 Mercedes and then threw in a refurb of the totally worn out back seat at very little extra. all on a tight deadline right before New Year's....great communication...also. In other words, done when they said it would be done and the price was within 2 dollars of the estimate.
