RIP Wallace Arms.....
5 stars to the Wallace Arms
?? for the new place called the Mutiny. Been there once, wasn't impressed, but didn't eat anything.
What ever happen to Elaine? Anyone know? Did she go back to Scotland??? -

Its not called the Wallace Arms anymore - its called Mutiny now. Mutiny on my booty - just kidding. I wish!
FUUUHHHQ.
just got back from Mutiny and its going to be my new favorite BFF. Rae, Montana and mothereffing p. mcnasty ROCK my fake lashes off.
We stopped in for a cocktail and something to eat, not knowing we would be taste testing new cocktails and getting the history of old ones.
The bad ass crew that work here could not be cuter/sexier or sweeter!
I'm sitting here thanking myself for living in Antioch. It might be the long islands talking but that is cool with me. A long island that talks is waaaay cooler than a Smirnoff ice that mumbles. Besides, my tequila can take on your vodka any day.
Tequila - are you there? It's me Rae Rae.
The bands were setting up by the time we left and they are more of tribute bands to social distortion (who, BTW, I loved about 100 years ago) and up and coming punk or metal bands.
They have the raddest downstairs area complete with secluded booths for making out (guilty) a stripper pole (disassembled for sanitation or something) trust me I asked about it and a pool table (i kicked his ass *cheating*) its rustic and wooden downstairs but the drinks rival those upstairs and its hella sexy'ish.
The food is typical bar and grille fare but its cheap and decent.
Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You will leave with a healthy buzz and get a couple new leads on cool tattoo artists!
Ink on baby. Ink on.... I mean drink on baby. drink on..... ha ha ha -

I totally underestimated this place. Last Friday at around 8, i was kinda worried since it was straight up "I am Legend" in old Antioch. Then various people and hot chicks started showing up at 9:30, and before long it was a full house. Everyone was friendly!
The bartendress was one of the nicest hot chicks I have ever met. She was like a hotter/younger version of Sherri Moon Zombie.
My band headlined that night, and the crowd was super cool. I would totally recommend booking a show there if you are a local band. Be sure to bring some XLR cables and some mics though. Overall, it sounds excellent. Only $5 cover, and all the door money goes to the bands!
THE WALLPAPER IS SOOOO BOSS!!! END. -

I have only been to the Mutiny for the bands. It would be a decent place to see a local show if it werent for the crowd!
I will focus on the last 3 times i was there, only.
Fights either happened or were on the verge of happening, all nite.
It felt like you couldnt even look at anyone for fear of "looking at them wrong", it was ridiculous.
chicks pushing their way thru like they own the place. Although, i have noticed that in general..not just at the Mutiny. Do we have to be "tough" or something? a simple "excuse me" doesnt work anymore?
I didnt know people still fought over stupid **** like this.
I have seen these bands in other bars in the bay area and not had crowds like i have at the Mutiny. Unfortunate.
I have been there before and had a nice, fight-free, time...but it only takes a few bad nights(in a row) to make you say "no thanks" -

Finally, a local rock bar in Antioch that doesn't cater to cholos or Hell's Angels. I went there three Saturdays ago and was pleasantly surprised. The live music was so so (the Mars Volta looking band was cooler than the Jack Johnson clone who came afterward). Security was a pleasant surprise, no attitude.
I spent upwards of two hundo that night and left in a nicely blotto-ed state (even though I had no choice but to leave as my sister was asked to leave politely but firmly for being "too aggressive " as she pushed her way to the downstairs bar). I'll be back if they'll have me. -

Cover charges. Fucking cover charges. It's a dive bar. The bartenders are cool and all but cover charges and not being able to take my drink out to the back patio is retarded.
