Some friends and I hit up Wall on a recent Friday night on the town.  I go through phases when I'm down with the club scene, and others when I just can't be bothered.  Wall has definitely swung me back towards the former.

I hadn't been to The W yet, but luckily one of my friends knew the way to Wall, so we didn't have to wander around to find it (access is through the pool deck).  I was very impressed with the doormen and other staffers, who seemed to genuinely want to let people in to have a good time.  Rather than a wristband, we got "Wall" stamped on the inside of our wrists.  Interesting.

Drinks were normal South Beach prices, I think.  I just kept handing my friend cash and she kept throwing down her credit card.  The one tab I remember was about $60 for 2 jagerbombs, a beer, and a top-shelf mixed drink.  About average for the beach, no?

The music was great - a nice hip-hop mix.  Since I'm not really a fan of electronic music, this was right up my alley.  I didn't get the ADD vibe that Brandon mentioned in his review

My only criticism is that Wall is better served when you have a table, as there's not a lot of room to walk or dance in the main room.  I found myself just barely squeezing by people and tripping over the couches.  The first room is very airy, by comparison - high ceilings, not 5-deep at the bar, which is always nice.  The walls at Wall are also worth noting - cool lighting patterns - very unique.

Oh, and I must mention the bathrooms.  Frosted glass doors, plenty of stalls, no pushing attendant holding the paper towels hostage.  Definitely a winner!

I went to Wall for the first time on Friday night, and the experience was positive.

First of all the door staff was friendly and polite. This is the most important thing I look for when going out because one douche bag manning the door can instantaneously ruin the fun of hundreds of people if the stick is a little too far up his ass that night. Glad to see the people working here actually enjoyed their jobs and they didn't hate their lives.

It is also great to see that there was no cover, and it didn't look like there was an area where they plan on taking cover in the future either.

The design of the club is by far its best feature. The main area is roomy and it actually has high ceilings which is nice for once. It creates a nice effect when you walk in from the small first room into the main room and the designers try to instantaneously hit you with sensory overload. It might be cliched and Vegasy, but I enjoyed it.

My chief complaint would be the music. It was the ADD Hip Hop of the Past Five Years Mix, and I wasn't enjoying the music at all. If there actually was a good song played, it lasted only 30 seconds.

I will definitely be going back to Wall (I sound like Steve Carrell in Anchorman), and I would like to see if the music is better on nights other than Friday.

Came here on a Friday night and it was so empty!  Since it was empty, we jus plopped down at one of the tables.  Not much of a dancefloor here, so better to get your own booth/table and dance on it hehe.  It started getting crowded but we were already bored of the place so we went to the next club of the night.  Good pre-partyin place I guess.

If you're looking for somewhere with a lot of room to dance, this is not the place. But i have to say that of the multiple times i have been to the Wall, I have had an awesome time. If you're not going with people familiar with the W hotel, Wall might be a little tricky to find. The Wall is located outside near the pool area, which is now called "Wet", where you can also get bottle service. Thankfully, the Wall isn't like many other south beach hot spots: nice bouncers that WANT people to have a good time. (and after you've been a couple of times you can literally just smile and walk in).  Every person gets a "Wall" stamp on their wrist that allows unlimites access all night. (great if you want to go to multiple places). The inside is small and if you're not at a table, i'm not sure you would enjoy it too much. The decor is cool and glitzy. The walls have a checkerboard design of multiple colors, that somehow works without being tacky, hence the name "Wall". Not too sure of drink prices seeing that i've never had to pay there, but the people are friendly and if you do a lap around the place you're bound to be asked to join a table. There's a nice mix of people. Young, old, everyone is good-looking. It usually doesn't get busy till around 1. Music begins as hip-hop and then progresses into house. Not the best music on south beach, but with all the drinks going around you're bound to have a good time. I suggest pre-gaming outside at Wet and then moving the party to Wall afterwards. Can't go wrong with this place

Don't walk into the Wall: Trust me or don't and find out for yourselves.
Here are the facts: Friday night, $18 vodka redbulls, awful pop radio music mixed in with the eighties.  Sucky music, terrible bar service, tacky decor and tacky tourist patrons.  Can't imagine that any local would return there, EVER!!!
On a different note, the W hotel grounds-poolside are impressive.  According to the outdoors bartender, there is a Thursday night scene there that is decent.  ??? I won't be going back to check it out anytime soon though, still have a very bad lingering taste in my mouth from the club experience.

Gorgeous new hot spot.  Very sexy decor, fun music, and really great crowd.  However, Saturday nights gets pretty crowded, if you don't have a table, you'll get pushed around like a ping pong ball making your way through the crowd.  The drink prices are what you would expect at any new SoBe hot spot VERY EXPENSIVE.  Overall, its definetely something to check out, if you like the glitz & glamour vibe.
