I didn't know about this place until I saw a flier for them on a walk to Brewer's Outlet (a different story) and checked them out a few days later.

It's kind of a hot mess. I wouldn't go with a particular title in mind because even if it's there.. good luck finding it. I only went because I needed something to read and it's a reasonable walk from where I live. Using biographies as a starting point I wandered around for I'm not sure how long with the store cat never far away and left with an armload of books.

The books are everywhere, even in the bathroom. I hadn't even realized I was in the bathroom until I saw the toilet and noticed a few rolls of toilet paper here and there among the books.

WONDERFUL bookstore with everything....everything...including a cat, free cup of coffee and miles of books in hidden dusty attic corners.   The wind howls thru the place but the books make it warm in the coldest day.   Browse for hours or call Greg and ask ahead of time for what you are looking.  He is bound to have it.   Philosophy, magazines, novels, reference, books in French, Greek, German, poetry, old, new, cheap all, dime paperbacks, everything.  Check out this amazing gem in an old SEPTA train station Mt. Airy before he has to close for economic reasons.  Save the store for the rest of us by buying one fantastic book (bet you can't buy just one!) and keep this area institution going for years to come.  I love the place.  I go here before I ever go to Borders, or even online.  And right up the street!
