4 reviews for Walgreens Drug Stores
This Walgreen's location has the absolute worst selection of female products. Kotex is my choice product, and they never have anything in stock. I usually shop here because it's only a few blocks away from where I work, but the last few months, I've had to walk up to Chestnut Street to find a Rite Aid.
If you find an item you'd like to purchase, go to the register in the back of the store next to the refrigerated items because there's hardly ever a line. Just keep your fingers crossed that the old woman isn't working. If you have the pleasure of being checked out by her, don't expect a "Hello", a "Thank you" or a "Have a nice day!"
A centrally located, convenient Walgreens. I have had a few prescriptions filled here and the lines are better than the CRAZY CVS on 19 & Chestnut.
Happy it's here.
Photo processing is decent, too.
Of the Big Three pharmacy chains (Walgreen's, CVS, and Rite Aid) in the Philly metro area, Walgreen's is the normally the lesser of three evils. But this Center City location is the absolute worst CC pharmacy out there, which is saying something considering how many bad CC pharmacies exist. The store itself is dirty, small, and claustrophobic, the employees are lazy and their customer base tends to look like they all spent the previous night sleeping in Suburban Station - but it's the pharmacy with which I had the biggest problem - the pharmacy techs are clueless and the pharmacists are simply mean. The last time I went there to get a prescription refilled (out of total necessity, believe me, only because I couldn't make it to the Elkins Park location where the original rx was filled) I got the usual: techs that told me one thing and pharmacists who told me another in a completely snotty, could-care-less attitude. I'm an easygoing guy and rarely am moved to complain about bad service, but was so appalled by the way I was treated that I wrote an email to corporate, which I'm sure was never read, since their website claims all complaints are followed up by phone - yet I never received any follow-up communication - not even an automated email. Hard to believe that this pit of a store is located next to the Comcast Center. Avoid.
This Walgreens is GRAND! CVS is my normal Pharmacy of choice but this is
1) Closest Pharmacy to my work
2) Closest Pharmacy to my local Pub (Tir Na Nog)
3) Attached to Suburban Station (a plus when you're getting the train)
4) Opens Crazy Early to Serve YOU!
It is here where I developed an addiction to Special K Protien Water and 99 cent VHS Tapes. Everyone is so nice and it's just in an awesome location.
