I know, I should stop reviewing bars since I'm pregnant--but this place was really cool. I mean, not hip cool, but just a good, lazy sunday watching a game cool. And just because I'm not drinking doesn't mean I don't have friends who make it up for me...
So, I enjoyed a delicious hoagie while my pals devoured pitcher after pitcher of whatever was on draft. They had the good stuff, like Framboise, Bell's Best Brown Ale, Boulevard Wheat and some others. But it was quite impressive (and made me yearn for a glass...sigh, I *heart* good beer). I heard they rotate their selection every few weeks which I found commendable for a sports bar. It shows their serious about serving the good stuff.
Just a side note too, they enforce the no smoking indoors (which I know every place should now in MO, but you know they don't). I know there's a lot of grumbling about it, and yes, pregnant women should not be hanging out in bars, but it made for a much better outing without it.
This place gets five stars from me because the "Blue and Crimson," which is Boulevard Wheat blended with Lindemann's Framboise Lambic, is a brilliant idea.
Quite a sweet bar with lots of interesting beers on tap and nice decor. Nice alternative to the bar scene, and a favorite of mine.
