This is a really nice park. Was here yesterday around 2:00PM and it was completely empty. There were just a couple of people laying on the grass in the shade and about 5 people at a picnic table having a birthday party. There was absolutely no one at the playground.
They have a basketball court, playground, picnic tables, barbecues, open grassy area, restrooms, and it connects to the Iron Horse Trail. It's only open from dawn to dusk.
I like the open grassy area. The playground is a bit lame. It was way too sunny and hot to play on the playground at the time we were there. Only the sand playing area was in the shade. The kid wanted to play on the swings and slides the whole time, but those were in direct sunlight. Not that he didn't get to play on them, but it was definitely limited.
It'd be a nice place to have a picnic on a sunny day at one of the tables under the shade of a tree!
