3 reviews for Walden Farm
This is the best of the various Pumpkin based farms, patches, and other businesses that spring to life from September to November, without a doubt. Being in Smyrna it's only about a 25 minute drive from Nashville, but it's still a farm, so it doesn't lose it's charm either.
This place is a massive farm with a corn maze, hayrides, a huge pumpkin patch (pumpkins were super cheap, like 2 or 3 bucks), a petting zoo, a concession stand of sorts, and an old-timey log cabin with handmade crafts. My girlfriend teaches little kids and found something similar to a craft she was going to buy at Michael's for literally an eighth of the price, and there were all sorts of amazing pieces of wall-art, handmade stuffed scarecrows, and other neat things for under 5 dollars. I couldn't believe how cheap it was. Also, the concession place had christie cookies, brownies, pumpkin cookies, ice cream, soda, water, and a lot more for super cheap and they even take cards in the middle of a farm!
Walden Farms Pumpkin Patch has become a tradition in our family. We go every year and my children love it. I have a 6 year old girl and a 15 year old boy and there is plenty of things there to make both of my kids at their ages happy. Cost is very reasonable. We take maybe $40 and my kids get to enjoy the petting zoo, corn maze, hayride, the best pumpkin fudge and they each get to pick out a pumpkin. Cheaper than a movie and much better quality time. They get more excited by our trip to the pumpkin patch every year than they do trick or treating and fall festivals.
I agree with 100% with Caleb P's review. Walden farm is a great place to spend a fall day with the kids. Reasobably priced food, crafts and of course pumpkins. We'll definitely be going back.
