It's a great store with a variety of green products. They are at a new location now but are continuing to carry all products. If something is not displayed I would just ask. A lot of things are also available on their website and at great prices.
I think this is a great and easy way to maximize your green footprint, without giving up much at all. The prices are not ridiculous which is definitely helpful.
I have gotten a chance to know the owner, Cliff, a bit too and definitely hooked me to the store more. -

We all have options. With automobiles you can buy a Gas Guzzler or you can buy an Economy car. Which one is better for the environment, the world, the future of our children? Economy car, right?! The downside is that you may have to give up some performance, but for most of us it's worth it!
With Office Supplies, you also have a choice, but with NO downside. You can buy from a big retailer or other environmentally "unconscious" store, or you can buy from Waldeck's Office Supplies who make a concerted effort to provide high quality service and products at competitive pricing while striving to provide offices with eco-friendly supplies that help create more responsible, productive workplaces.
I have been ecstatic with my Waldeck's Office Supplies partnership and in addition to them helping me run my business, Waldeck's helps me sleep at night knowing I am doing my part to save the planet!

Having frequented Waldeck's at their Embarcadero and Washington Street stores, I was happy to find them re-located inside the gallery at 345 California, very convenient to offices in the Financial District. What's more, a Starbucks is right across the walkway. Waldeck's has a nice variety of supplies and will order whatever you need but don't see on display. Nice range of standard supplies and, say, handmade paper from Nepal. I'm particularly fond of their green product lines.
A favorite route for me is to start at the Mandarin, stroll through the gallery checking out the floral and art displays, drop by Waldecks and finish up at Starbucks. Then parking myself at one of the outside tables with a decafe, a nice notebook and pen from Waldecks, I get to work on my to-do list. Very chill. -

Can't find what you need at Office Depot or Staples? Waldeck's can get it for you! Just let them know what you are looking for and if they don't have in stock they'll place an order for you. It's nice to know you can always count on the little guys!

these guys are THE BEST.
my office orders all our supplies from them, & i get stuff for personal use from their little store, too.
for offices:
as far as i know, they offer free delivery with no minimum purchase. when we were buying from quill & staples, we had to get $50 before they'd offer free delivery, & since our office only has three people, we don't always need more than $50 of supplies. that meant that we had to wait until we needed a lot of stuff before we made our order. major inconvenience.
also as far as i know, they'll offer price matching with quill & staples. if you find something cheaper at quill, they can get it for you at the same price. even if they don't have the item on hand, they can order it, and usually have it at your office by the next day. there has been nothing we need that they haven't been able to get for us. great service!
the perks:
their staff is super nice. they have good suggestions & can accommodate your needs. they always remember my name (which is pretty tricky) & have something friendly to say when i go in.
they have a large selection of green/environmentally friendly products.
they're centrally located in the 345 california building, right across the street from a staples.
it's a tough economy - support small businesses! -

I'd love to give this place 5 stars but I've yet to do the intended shopping I have planned. I don't doubt Waldecks will earn a 5 star rating. I met the owner, Clifford when I photographed him for The San Francisco Bay Guardian Best of Small Business Awards. I recently moved back to the neighborhood and am excited to go back for the friendly service, small business mindset and environmentally friendly products. This is a local alternative to large faceless chain stores and worth checking out.

We have ordered through this family owned company for many years and the customer service is exceptional and if the items are in stock, they'll even deliver in person on the same day. The downtown location is convenient, although we do most of our ordering online or by phone.
