Casual day on the beach and an occasional jump off a rock.

This is one of my top beaches when visiting Oahu. In my last visit (9 days long) we went here 2 different days. There's plenty of space as it doesn't get too crowded due to limited parking and still a good number of good looking people to check out.

One of the nice things about this beach is a series of large rocks that form a cliff. You can safely jump off these rocks into the water. The jump is about 30-40 feet at the highest peak. A great rush after just laying out in the sun doing nothing.

There are also bathroom and showers at this beach which are very convenient.

Downside:
Limited parking. Come early or be prepared to wait for a parking spot to open up or park on the street. The water can get very interesting... The drop off is fairly steep so if your not careful, you might find your self fully under water in a few steps.

My other favorite beach which is on the North Shore of Hawaii. This beach is known for 'big surf'--they're not kidding since the waves can get pretty big during the winter time. I have yet to see this, but I know it's true because you can only walk out a few feet from the shore before the water is up to your neck! It's like a deep-ass bowl in that water, but I love it still! So beautiful and blue on a calm, warm summer day. Need to get there early, especially in the summer time when tourists and locals alike, seem to flock. The parking lot isn't very big, and people start to park along the narrow road of the hill.

This is my favorite beach in the entire world. I was on vacation in Hawaii for the first time last year and fell in love with this place. There's a huge rock/cliff that we were jumping off of straight into the ocean, and the amazing part was that as we were just hanging on the beach, wild dolphins were swimming by! They were even jumping out and doing flips midair. It was literally the picture of perfection. Perfectly clear blue water, amazing sunset, sailboats on the horizon, kids jumping off the rocks and dolphins swimming in the water. Ahh, I want to go back!
