My review only applies to the Old Blue course, since I did not play the Gold or Emerald courses.  I hear they are much nicer.  For $130 green fee, which I realize is cheap in Hawaii, I did not expect to hit into nets for the warmup.

Carts have GPS, which is a great help.  Views are not that great except from a couple of holes.

This was the first course built, and its clubhouse is separate from the Gold and Emerald courses.  You definitely get the sense that it is the downmarket option of the three.  That probably makes it the best option for kids and duffers, though.

Fantastic location!  One of my friends from NY/ high school got married here on the Molokini Lookout, and then had a reception at the Seawatch restaurant.

I highly reccomend it as it could possibly have been the most beautiful wedding I have been to.  The views of Molokini are fantastic, and the Seawatch Restaurant provided a fantastic sunset view.... so pretty.

Oh... and the crab cakes were good too.  A lot of crab and not much crust!

Very luxurious golf course.  Nice carts, with GPS, and well stocked with water, towels, etc.  Accomodating and thorough staff.  The Gold course itself was in excellent condition when we played recently.  Excellent fairways and near perfect, although a little slow, greens.  The views were good, but not nearly as striking as at the Makena course down the road.  Also, this course wasn't all that challenging in my mind.  Now, I'm a terrible, and only occasional golfer, but the set up was pretty easy and there were very few opportunities to actually hit your ball out of bounds.  Now, the last thing my golf game needs is additional challenge, but I just expected this course to really make me run out of balls - it didn't.  Also, greens fees were ridiculously expensive.

I played the Gold Course here (3 courses: Old Blue Course, Emerald Course, and Gold Course--where the Senior Skins Game is played), and this is an absolutely PRISTINE course! This course is everything you can expect to find in a Hawaiian golf course: vast views of the ocean and nearby islands, lush conditions, and very difficult golf. Every shot must be well thought out and executed, or else you'll be in a world of trouble when you stray off of the fairway. The bermuda grass rough will give you fits all day, as it rips the club out of your hands. The palm trees and various brush that line the holes will eat up any golf ball that finds its way into there. This is a must-play course while in Maui.

one of the best courses in the world and the staff is very friendly and accomodating.  I loved the GPS and the grand views-  The course drains very well so don't worry about rain.  Bring lots of sunscreen cause the relection off the water will get you.  I played both the emerald and the gold.  The emerald is more scenic and the gold is the challenge-  the back nine is long so make sure you pack your 3 wood.  I did not play the blue so I am not sure how it is- but the emerald and gold are awesome!
