2 reviews for Waffle House
For some reason I found myself hankering this place today. So I thought, what better way show it respect then to write it a stellar Yelp review!!?!
This place has all the local flavor from the food to the characters that frequent this place. From my time living in the south I have been to a lot of waffle houses - this is by far the best one in America.
Through my many visits through the years I have had the great fortune of seeing the funniest drunkards, the most dangerous parolees, the kindest country folk, and the most entertaining riff-raff that one could hope for. I finer mix of interesting characters could not be found at a international airport terminal.
Besides the people watching this place serves the freshest, greasy, delicious, southern style breakfast (topped off with sweet tea).
This is where I cut my Waffle House teeth, and a happy experience was had.
We came in for breakfast last week and had a seat at the counter. It was busy, but Mary did a good job of taking care of us.
I had an order of diced (tomato), peppered (jalapeno) hash browns that accidentally came with cheese on top. And they were some damn good hash browns. I also ordered an egg and cheese biscuit, and it was tasty too, although not near as special as the hash browns.
My drink never went empty, my stomach was quickly filled, and two of us were fed for about ten bucks.
I am looking forward to my next trip South so I can get another Waffle House fix.
