I'm extremely surprised that no one has reviewed this place yet. As a Volvo owner (XC-70), I have become extremely jaded with the customer service I've received at Turner Volvo. Anyone else feel that way? 120,000 miles and I'm on my 3rd transmission... among other things. Anyhow.... as I was seeking out another service option I was turned on to VIS. Although it was out in Rancho and I'm in Carmichael, I decided to try them out despite the inconvenient distance from my home. Best decision ever!! I was told by Turner Volvo that my repair would cost me approx. $2,000, and that my vehicle would not pass smog as a requirement for my then due vehicle registration. I called VIS, explained my issue, then dropped off the car. Within 24 hours I received a call teling me they found the issue and fixed it. When I returned to pickup my car I fully expected to pay $1,000. I kid you not when I tell you it cost me just over $100! Seriously! And, they even took it upon themselves to replace a light that had burned out. It turns out I didn't need to replace the Turbo unit at all! Just had an exhaust hose that was worn out! That's it.
Service was professional and without a doubt the best decision I've made in a while. I highly recommend VIS! -

I took my Camry here because I thought I had a bad battery - and my coworkers recommended it. It turned out it was just dirty, but the mechanic cleaned and tested it for free. I will definitely be back.
By the way- they have moved across the street -

Was referred to the business from a local parts supplier for a cooling system problem I was unsure about. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The owner Peter was very fair and reasonable about all repairs my S70 needed and even told me that I could wait on an item I considered replacing during the service I received at the point of planning the repairs to be done at the time. Parts were very reasonably priced and the technician I worked with was very knowledgeable. I am a do-it-your self kind of person when it comes to vehicle maintenance, but when time is of the essence I will not hesitate to return to this shop and recommend it to family and friends. Thank you for the top notch service and friendly atmosphere.

Started as a technician 1974 for Buick / Opel. Developed his passion for European cars in 1977. Peter began working for BMW in 1979, and has over the years developed his knowledge and skills with these cars over the past few decades.
Peter first met Glenn (established VIS in 1994) in 2003, and became the owner in 2004.
