I have way too much fun shopping here! Very nice staff, great clothes and accessories at a wide range of price points, and I continue to love everything I've purchased.

Part spa, part boutique, Vixen is one of my favorite spots in Seattle. Walking in is like going to your best friend's house (if your best friend has a killer wardrobe and all the make up and skin products you could ever dream of.) The receptionist greets you by name, the owner gives you a big, squishy hug. Even the clientele knows one another just because of the frequency we all seem to be there
I recently signed up for a multi-week series of microderm abrasion at Vixen. I went every Friday after work and I was noticeably more upbeat around the office. Everyone assumed it was because it was the weekend.
"Nope," I'd say. "I"m going to Vixen!"
And every Saturday I was noticeably glowing. Everyone assumed I had gotten extra sleep or had just come from the gym. Someone even asked me if I were pregnant.
"Nope! Just had microderm abrasion!"
If you've never had it, don't be afraid of the name! The "abrasion" is a good thing! And no one does it better than Courean. Pure, sweet bliss with immediate results. I had some dark spots around my eyes from sun damage that are now a distance memory. And the "smile lines" around my eyes and mouth are all by vanished. That's just from 3 sessions! My last one is today. :(
I have been going to Vixen for 11 years for all my skin care needs, including waxing. Courean is an artistic genius when it comes to shaping your brows. Seriously, if you want a new look for a fraction of the cost of a hair cut or new wardrobe, go see Courean about a little eyebrow shaping. (And if you really want that new wardrobe, they have you covered there too.)
Plus they throw great parties for Magnolia's Girl's Night Out! -

My mother loves this place. Gets all her stuff done there and is friends with the whole staff. I got a hot stone massage there once that blew my mind.

Vixen Day Spa & Boutique offers an eclectic mix of apparel and cosmetics, as well as a comprehensive menu of spa services. Though I am less enthusiastic about the apparel, the mere presence of it makes for enjoyable browsing as you wait.
What separates Vixen from other day spas, is the customer service. The estheticians are women you trust and enjoy spending time with, not to mention they are part of a locally owned business (very important to me).
I recommend Vixen for small spa services, like having your eyebrows tinted and shaped, because the estheticians do a great job at the fraction of the cost of larger spas! -

Hooray for Seattle's best pedicure! I have been a loyal client of Gina's for 4 years. It is hands down the best pedicure ever. Your toes will look like 'Hollywood toes' , if there is such a thing ; )
Besides the fact that my toe polish doesn't chip for an entire month (this saves me and entire hour of my life so I don't have to go in for a polish change), Gina is the most sanitary nail technician I have even seen. She disinfects the pedi spa for 10 minutes right in front of me so I know I am protected from foot fungus and disease.
Finally the pedicure price is well worth the money. Some spas you would pay $75 for this high of a quality. The only con would be that you need an appointment if there is a sunny weekend ahead! This gal gets booked! -

I STILL LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! I find it hard to read some of the comments below because they are so untrue! I have been coming to Vixen since the day it opened, watching all the new things that come into the store, the services they provide and the great customer relations they strive to achieve everyday. As a small business owner myself, I am so proud of Vixen to keep weathering this economic storm while offering up great services, accessories, clothing and more!
Vixen gets an A++++ in my book and I recommend this place to everyone I know! I cannot tell you how many compliments I get on my outfits and then am proud to say "It came from Vixen" but then to top it off - have my friends say "I cannot wait to go shop there!" Visited for the first time today for a Brazilian was, after purchasing a voucher from Living Social. Seeing how was a weekday, in the middle of the day, parking wasn't a problem.
Overall, this was probably the LEAST painful Brazilian I've ever had so props to them for that! Jodi was nice, friendly, and we chatted easily. Shop seems clean and comfortable.
I gave this a 4 star instead of 5 star due to the price. It was $85 for a Brazilian, which I thought was pricey. If it wasn't for the price, I'll definitely go back. -

This place is AWESOME (!!) , for everything from skin care, massage, nails, waxing AND one-of-a-kind jewelry, clothing & accessories. The store itself is cozy & comfortable & reflects the vibe of Vixen..."that every woman can look and feel beautiful". The staff & owner are friendly but not overbearing, and they are very helpful with whatever you need or are looking for.
The services are top-notch & the estheticians are very knowledgeable about the latest in skin care, treatments, & products. I love the website - http://www.vixendayspa... - you can book your appointments online, see what's new, & even buy Dermalogica products there!
Gina's pedis are great - she's the best! And the massage...ahhh, yes... again, above par LMPs who really know their stuff. And the waxing - quick, professional & mostly painless.
Also, I am not kidding, everytime I pop in to see what's new, there are always new items! Everything is so well-priced that if you like it, you better buy it, cuz if ya don't someone else will ! ;) Seriously, I have found clothing& jewelry here that I have never seen anywhere else, & it is always the things I buy at Vixen that I get the most compliments on!
I love coming here & truly look forward to coming in. The talented, personable staff as well as the yummy selection of fun, unique "stuff" will keep me returning with anticipation time & time again!! -

Eclectic and exceptionally chosen stuff. They sell Hankie Panky products at five dollars less per pair than at Nordstrom. They have unique woman's clothing, AHAVA and dermatec makeup lines (among others), lingerie and HOBO handbags- it's completely different than any other store in Seattle as far as products go. The women who do the purchasing do a wonderful job- they have limited space in the location, but they use it very well. Look out for sidewalk sales too- they'll get ya.

I learned of Vixen Day Spa & Boutique while at a fun Village Girls Night Out in quaint downtown Magnolia where I was drawn in to the Parisian feeling boutique. There was the most beautiful outfit in the window, I just had to go in. Turns out they have new merchandise come in every week that reminds me of Anthropology style clothing but with a sexier twist. I always know I will find a sassy outfit at Vixen and know I will be wearing something you can't find at the mall.
I also had my first facial in April 2010 at Vixen Day Spa & Boutique and have been going back ever since, they are fun and professional.
Vixen's treatments are luxurious and spa rooms very beautiful, Zen and relaxing. They have taught me so much about my own skin and how to take care of it. They did a Chinese facial reading that totally helped me solve my breakout dilema, (I had major problems in chin area) turns out I was allergic to milk! I have to say I am forever hooked on Vixen's facials and unique, affordable clothing and friendly, hip staff!!!

I have been coming here for years. I quite often find the same items as a well known boutique in Ballard (Horseshoe, formerly Olivine) for a lot less. They purchase clothing that would appeal to many. Simple lines that are fashionable and contemporary. This is a well needed gem in a neighborhood that needs more vibe.

I have been coming here since they opened and I am a big fan. Their services are great and the store is pleasure to shop and browse. Make the trip to Magnolia, have a manicure and enjoy a meal or coffee in the pleasant village.
