I just moved to ATL and I've been dreading trying to find a new hair stylist...but Vivid is right up the street from our house and with a few good ratings, I decided to give it a shot!
Liz (the owner) answered the phone and she was super nice as she helped me set up my appointment with ...Jeff Diamond.
All I can say is YES! Jeff is an incredibly kind (and fun) person, and his hair cutting skills superstar. He spent quite a bit of time listening to me drone on and on about what I didn't like about my existing style and where I wanted to go with it. Then he offered up some ideas of his own.
The result - a hair cut I really like and also one that seems I'll be able to re-create tomorrow when I fix it myself. :)
The salon itself is simple yet beautiful - I'll definitely be back!
I have been going here since it was The Cutting Room. I ventured in and have not used anyone except Robin for two years now! Last week I went to make an appointment, but I was unable to do so because Robin is taking a vacation, but I made an appointment with someone else instead. What I love about this place is that I can go in without any real idea about how I want my hair cut, but I let them do what they want and it always comes out looking great!
As a man, I have never paid too much attention to my hair cuts. I used to just go to any no-appointment, gettum' in - gettum' out place. Guys - there is totally a difference and it is worth it. I have been going to Vivid Hair Salon and have gotten more attention/comments from my hair style (as opposed to that old cut). It is a great relaxing environment and the service is outstanding. Everyone is so friendly. I recommend Vivid Hair Salon (and I really love Liz who does wonders for me and makes me laugh). OK - I do have to make an appointment, but they call and remind me the day before....and I don't have to wait when I get there. These guys are great!
Gorgeous Hair Salon Space with an amazing group of sylists. The owner, Liz Covin is just wonderful. Friendly and welcoming. Very much a spa like atmosphere. Cyrus does my hair and I just can't say enough about him. He's a Redken artist and really knows his stuff! I love this place and feel very comfortable in this Salon. Let them give you a makeover! I love it!! ...the salon is new to the Highlands so give them a try! You won't regret it!

Our stylists ROCK when it comes to modeling and special events. Our team goes mobile to provide styling and makeup services for photo shoots, modeling events, public relation events, fundraisers, and weddings (of course).
History
Established in 2008
Liz Covin and Jennifer Barry joined forces in October 2008 to create a styling experience for their guests. They continue to exceed guests' expectations by attracted talented and skilled professionals who love the beauty and fashion industry.

Meet the Business Owner: Liz C.
Liz has been in the "biz" since 1992 and styling hair in Atlanta since 1997. A graduate of Lockworks Academie of Hairdressing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she is a self-proclaimed "hair groupie." Liz spent much of her free time growing up around hairdressers, attending hair shows and even working as a hair model. She is an avid fan of Sam Brocato, with whom she briefly worked with while in Baton Rouge. Thanks to the business partnership with Jennifer Barry, Liz is now a salon owner and Vivid is truly what she has always visualized as the "dream salon". Interacting with all the clients in the salon and making sure they have a positive experience is a priority. Sassy, short haircuts are her specialty with her "twirling" razor. A resident of Virginia Highlands, she is a member of the Morningside Lenox Park Association, the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and three tennis leagues.
