Love Virgin America. They make air travel more enjoyable. When it comes to traveling, it is really the destination that I tend to care more about. Usually the flight is a bit uncomfortable with small seats and long periods of nothingness. You are lucky to get a drink and a snack anymore. Everything is about fees. For the most part, VA has made an effort to address these pains.

The process of taking flights from Seattle on Virgin America is simple and easy. There are kiosks in which you can print your boarding pass, then go through security (which is rather expedited), head on over to the A terminal and off you go.

Planes are newish and I love the mood lighting. Though on a 6 am flight, I would take some shuteye over the bright glare. The Red entertainment system is for the most part pretty decent, especially since competing airlines like Southwest and Alaska are without this feature. Red sometimes seems buggy, but I like that I have the ability to listen to music, play games and watch music videos or satellite television while I pass the time. It has certainly made the trip getting to my destination better.

The only thing is that like other airlines, Virgin charges for check-in baggage. Fortunately, I travel light so I avoid this inconvenience. Thanks Virgin for creating a more peaceful air experience. Arriving at your destination fresh and happy after a plane ride certainly helps to make trips a lot more enjoyable.

VA is by far the best airline I have flown (and I have definitely been on my fair share.) We traveled down to LA on a Friday evening and I had originally expected there to be long lines at check-in, etc... But when we got there, no lines and just friendly agents awaiting to help you with bag drop and checking in. I've seen pictures of the inside of the airplane online and noticed that the "purple glow" also extends to the VA counters. What a nice touch. Not to mention, the music while you're checking in is great and really pumps you up for your flight (yes that sounds lame, but when you're traveling right after work on a Friday, you need some source of energy.)

Once on the airplane, we were greeted with friendly (not to mention attractive) flight attendants. The purple glow at night time sets a great relaxing mood and you just know your flight will be enjoyable. Once seated I was very excited to play around with your personal monitor in front of you. Games, tv shows, a plethora of MP3's, movies, even seat-to-seat instant messaging! This could be useful if you want to talk to that cute boy you saw at the gate ;)

Also great is the ability to order food/drinks through your screen and the flight attendants will bring it to you. They don't take cash, so all you do is swipe that plastic!

Although the flight from SEA to LAX is relatively short (2-2 1/2 hours), having that personal monitor to keep you fully occupied made the flight seem like it was 30 minutes short.

My only complaint....fly to more places!

I make the trek down to southern california about once or twice a year, and Virgin America will definitely be my new mode of transportation.

It's nice to bob your head a little because Diana Ross is playing at the bag drop at 5:30am.

It's nice to get on a plane that feels like it was built in this century.

It's nice to sit through an animated airline safety video that says things like "in case you're the ONE in 10,000,000,000* people who has never buckled a seat belt, it goes like this.."
*not verbatim, but that's the gist

It's nice to watch back-to-back episodes of Dexter. I'll watch The Hangover on my return flight in a couple days. Tigers like pepper.

And it's nice to do it all for less than what other airlines charge for quick west coast jaunts.

Also, I have it on very good authority that you get free booze in the exit row. Nice. VERY nice, really. If ever I have to pull a door off and throw it down the wing so that a couple hundred people and I might scramble to safety, a little sauce in the bloodstream definitely won't hurt.

Virgin America is my go-to airline, I fly almost exclusively with them, and I highly recommend this airline to all my friends, family, and colleagues.

That is, until a few weeks ago.

Normally, you can get on standby for an earlier flight the same day of your original scheduled ticket. I've done this numerous times and have never had a problem.

My flight is due to leave on Friday at 3:30PM and I try to catch the 6:00AM flight instead. I show up at SEATAC at 4:45AM and wait patiently in line. When I finally get up to the counter, the representative tells me that they changed their policy a couple months ago where you can only get on standby to the immediate flight before you.

Thus, she says, "I can put you on standby for the 11:15AM flight, or you can buy a new ticket."

WTF? As a frequent flier of this airline, you would think they would have the decency to inform their Elevate members of such changes in policy. An email, snail mail, something other than finding out the day of your flight and getting stranded at the ungodly hour of 5:00AM.

What did I do? I had to eat the cost of a brand new one-way ticket for more than what my original roundtrip ticket cost.

I'm still bitter about the incident, and feel betrayed that Virgin America didn't have the respect to inform their most devoted customer base of basic policy changes.

That's just bad business.

My first time on a plane was with Virgin when I was heading to LA. I was very happy with the tv shows/music videos/various variety shows on the flight screen. It helped since I was so nervous. I got to see the eta of where we were at up in the air and how long to get to my destination.

Seats were comfy and will be looking forward to another ride with them.

I have flown on Virgin many of times on trips to and from LA.  Always have had a good experience.  My only gripe (and one star off) was the new charge for the luggage.  $15 for my first bag....wtf?
Oh and like the other yelpers...I have also felt person behind me tapping on their screen.  That sucks!

Not impressed.

Just another airline trying really hard to be uber-cool, but at the end of the day, just another airline taking-off and landing safely and on-time.

Food  in first isn't impressive... just fruit for the morning flight.  I did get to see a movie I've missed out in the theaters though.

Recently flew main cabin LAX-SEA-LAX. They operate newer Airbus aircraft. The seatback video screens are a great idea but they still have to work the bugs out of it. Playing DOOM was fun, but not with the interuptions and system lock up (cabin crew had to do a l o n g re-boot). They offer in-flight WiFi for a fee. Very little legroom and don't expect to put anything of height under the seat in front of you. But the overhead bin was good sized.

The return flight arrived late from LAX, so they said they would do a really fast turn around. If that was fast, I would hate to wait for a normal turn around. Ground crews could learn a lesson from Southwest. Great cabin crew and gate agents.

Their frequent flier website could not find my flights.

The ticket was cheap...

In November '08, I had the most awesome, enjoyable, groovin' airline experience ever.  At least, while I was in the air.  I checked in at LAX, which is a complete effin' mess, but was able to put that all behind me once I boarded.  The mood lights, so sensual yet multisensory experience.  I was in a new mood-lit bar, not some cramped stuffy US Airways flight.  Everything just seemed newer, cleaner, as if the seats hadn't even been farted into yet.  They had their snazzy safety video, which you can actually download on YouTube.  They had movies and all different types of music genres with an iTunes interface.  This is how flying should be, people.  I've suffered on Continental, US Airways, United, Alaska, Air France, Delta, Northwest and Alitalia: Virgin America takes the cake.

So the Sea-Tac Virgin counter plays games for you while you wait (to make up for the somewhat of a hike from the security check point, i think). They played clubby and hip hop music. The people at the check in were SUPER friendly. And since I bought a premium select main cabin, the upgrade to first class was only $25 extra for my flight down to SF!!!

The white chairs go ALL THE WAY BACK and they massage you as well. You get a tiny little tapas box for the short flight. I had a cosmo, which they are apparently phasing out in a nice real glass. None of that plastic crap.  Muahaha, I say that because I was fortunate to have premium select for work, on a normal day, I would not spend the extra dough for a 1.5 hour flight...so plastic will just do fine.

Up in first, you get pillows and a blanket and access to all the movies they have on board. You can also order more food if you wanna seem like a little piggy (which I did, I ordered chips).

I thought it was an extremely comfortable and fun flight to LA. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the movies/tv shows/music on the flight screen. We were even able to watch a Chinese variety show! WTF that was pretty weird, but hilarious. Since flying to LA is pretty short, I'd like to experience a longer flight with VA next time.

People told me it was good. I was totally unprepared for how much better these guys are then any other airline today. As you take your seat after boarding the plane you start to wonder how it could be that a singular airlines amidst all the others could be such a quantum leap ahead of the rest.

The ease of ticketing, the smoothness of boarding, the hilarious antics of the crew, the awesome lighting inside the plane, the at your seat touch screen entertainment complete with first run movies, video games, and chat. This is flying in 2009!!!  The rest of the airlines feel like they are stuck in previous decades just like the FAA's regulations.

All the planes are brand spanking new, which makes me feel good, because you know you have the latest in airplane design technology keeping you safe. Everything from the quality of materials in the cabin to the smooth sound of the turbine engines feels and seems like its current and modern. None of the unsettling rattles that you hear in older planes as the engines thrust up.

Sea to Lax could not be any easier, your in the air just long enough to watch quantum of solace and sip on few cocktails. I've never had a 2.5 hour flight go by so quickly.

I personally pledge to never fly another airline where a virgin airlines flight exists for within 100.00 of a similar ticket from another airline. Its that good. International service and approach to domestic travel.

Oh, man did I mention that on this particular flight virgin was also the cheapest ticket that I could find!!! VIRGIN AIRLINES FTMFW!

This is the best airline period!  My friend Garret was on this airline not too long ago and said it was great.  Well he was right.

Starting with the check-in, friendly workers and fast service.  I don't think it took more than a minute as soon as I walked up to the counter to check my bag.  The workers at the boarding gate were friendly too as well as entertaining.

As soon as I walked onto the plane it was nothing like I've seen on a plane before.  On the inside it looked like it should have been on the movie Soul Plane.  It was clean and totally pimp with the blue and pink running lights.  Walking down the aisle the plane smells clean and not of moth balls or of somebody missing the vomit bag at some point.  The seats look and feel like something that should be in my race car.  Built into each seat there is a touch screen monitor that you can go everything with watch movies, watch TV shows, listen to music, surf the web, and even order food.  If you fly a lot you know how boring the flight instructions can be but on this airline you'll want to pull out your earphones and listen.  Each flight is different where one day it may be like a comedy show or one day they may rap the instructions.

Going from SEA to LAX I slept most of the way, I didn't even notice I was on a plane it was so quiet.  On my return flight to Seattle I got to say it was interesting because of the hot Asian woman that sat next to me.  Let me just say she caught me by surprise when she adjust my seat for me.

This should be the only airline or at least every airline should take notes from Virgin.  I was on this flight because it was the cheapest tickets I could find at the time.  After flying Virgin America I'd be willing to pay the extra bucks to fly with them every chance I get.  Trust me; if you're flying to LAX go Virgin!  Virgin FTMFW!!!

I didn't know i liked to virgins until i rode one. (tee hee hee)

really. virgin is by far the best airline i have ever been on. (and i've just about rode every single major airline. )

you know that it's an outstanding airline when you don't want to get off the plane!  from their use of light and material for their decor to their funny cartoon about safety, it is only my hope that all major airlines take their cue from virgin. because i don't think i can ride anything else.

My recent trip to California was the first time I've flown Virgin America, but I would definitely do it again. I am not a huge fan of flying, but it seemed a little less like a pain in the ass for once.

It's super easy to check in and check your luggage - my only complaint here is that, even with the automated screens and self check-ins, there are lines that move very, very slowly. I got lucky and checked in when there were fewer people around, but I imagine it can be sort of annoying when it's more crowded.

This trip was awesome because I still got to check a bag for free.  After May 5th it will cost $15 to check the first bag, which sort of sucks... but I guess all the airlines are doing it these days. Food and everything costs money on the flight, of course, but it seemed like a decent selection. I didn't taste any of it, so I can't speak for that. Free drinks were available.

My favorite part was the screen in front of each seat. You could watch TV, listen to music, and even chat with people onboard the plane. It was a little difficult to use, but nothing I couldn't manage... and besides, where else do you get your own personal entertainment on a plane?!

I'm not sure exactly where Virgin America flies, but it'll be one of my first choices for flights in the future - even with the stupid $15 luggage charge.

Calling all Virginians. Calling all Virginians...lol. Regardless of where I fly from and to, Seattle, LAX, San Fran etc., Virgin is the best there is by far.

I just wish they would fly to more places in the U.S. Hopefully soon. Fly Virgin and you won't regret it. Don't bother sleeping either, the touch screen live stream T.V. will keep you entertained your whole trip through.

I fly a lot. I hate it too... not the actual take off or landing but the sitting in the seats, the cramped aisles, the crying babies.. etc

Well -- flying isn't painful anymore! Virgin America KICKS ASS. There isn't much to hate about Virgin. The lighting is hues of purples and reds which are perfect if you need to see in the dark but not too bright if you're trying to sleep. The planes decor is snazzy and modern, there are touch screen monitors with games, movies, TV shows, GPS maps, etc in front of every seat... but here's the best part - you're left ALONE!

Don't you hate when you're dying of thirst but the drink cart already came by when you were asleep? What about when you have to pee and the drink cart is in the way? Well... no more! After the plane is in the air (and after the cute cartoon about airline safety/regulations) the flight attendants come through quickly with an initial drink service.. but after that you're left to your own devices. Through the touch screen monitor you can order free (non-alcoholic drinks), food, snacks or alcoholic drinks to be delivered to you in less than 5 minutes! With a quick swipe of your credit card you can order from a menu that's 3x longer than a regular airline menu and have it brought to you when YOU want it. How cool is that?

The staff is friendly, funny and the entire trip seems to zip by when you're not interrupted by noise from the staff with annoying announcements or food carts clanking down the aisle.

Better yet.. right now the airline is selling tickets DIRT CHEAP! I used to spend $300+ to fly home and see my family and on Virgin it's costing me $48 each way. That's literally the cost of the cab fare I pay just to get to the airport from my apartment downtown!

I will fly Virgin as long as they're flying wherever I need to go. Nuff said.

Maybe I'm getting a little heavy handed with the red stars these days, but I fly a lot lately. In this age of luggage by the pound and $5 bags of peanuts, fuel surcharges and TSA cavity searches (ok, I just wish that would happen), Virgin is a beacon of soothing black light in a swirling shit hole of recycled air, a sparkling disco ball in a landscape of flying sardine cans, a touch screen TV having, laptop battery saving, oasis in the sky. Yes. It is.

That I was able to annoy, nay, harass, my gay with messages via the touch screen chat thingy was simply icing on the cake.

MILFY PANTS: What doing?
Whaaaaat??: Ummm, trying to sleep whore.
MILFY PANTS: No rest for the fucking wicked Nancy.
Whaaaaat??: If you were a true hag you'd call me Mary. Is that why you always look like such shit? You never rest?
MILFY PANTS: You're too ugly to be Mary. I look like shit because I've been looking at your sour bitchy face for the last four days. You're catchy.
Whaaaat??: Whatever.
MILFY PANTS: Whatever.
Whaaaat??: Buy me a sandwich.
MILFY PANTS: Buy me a new rack.
Whaaaat??: Deal.

See? I even get new boobies out of the deal. (lie, he's a liar.)

Virgin rules.

First Class upgrade!  Yeah baby!!!!

I initially chose Virgin since it was so darn cheap but when I got to the airport I inquired how much to upgrade to first class.  They told me $100 (which really is reasonable) and I decided to live on the wild side and ask if I could have a free upgrade.  Believe it or not, they said yes!!  SWEEEEET!!!!

The chairs were nice and roomy and beyond comfy.  The mood lighting was kind of... hmmm... cheesy, but nonetheless it made the atmosphere way more relaxed.  Service was top notch and I absolutely loved that they had a good selection of drinks.  Mojitos and Margaritas on an airplane??  Crazy!  Also, the Steak Salad they served was mucho tasty.  I'm always shocked when airplane food tastes good.

On my return flight I decided I simply had to fly first class again.  I was willing to cough up the $100 upgrade, which really was worth it.  For less than $300 I was able have a round trip, first class plane ticket from SEA to LAX.... not too shabby.

Coach seats looked way roomy and (for an additional cost) everything from first class could be purchased.  Fresh, tasty food on an airplane?  Craziness!  The ability to watch a wide variety of movies?  Craziness!

I highly, highly recommend Virgin for your flight needs.  And hey, you might as well ask for a free upgrade.  What's the worst that could happen?

Richard Branson may be a strange quirky adrenaline junky snob knight and all around odball but he's rich for a reason. He knows how to come up with products people want and how to make people happy doing it.

Virgin American is about as cool and friendly an experience as I've ever had on an airline. The lavender mood lighting with the techno music playing is very relaxing even if it is does remind you of a London disco circa 1998. The seats are big and comfortable and pretty darn wide(even for my linebacker size frame). The flight attendants are friendly and stay out of the way but will quickly bring you food that you can order right from your chair. The entertainment system is great and even has a remote. How cool is it that they have Digg Nation and other video podcasts too?!?!

The best part of all was the price;140 bucks round trip to San Francisco!  The only problem is that right now they only fly to a handful of cities from Seattle. But the more cities they add the more I'll be flying Sir Richard's magic disco plane.

Oh my lord. I have never flown in such luxurious (and neon) accommodations. The technology blew my mind! I try to pretend that technology that eliminates the need for human interaction bothers me and seriously hinders peoples' ability to communicate, but the fact that after the touch of a button a stewardess (pardon me, flight attendant) was at my seat with a fresh cup of ginger ale...well, how can i complain? The music selection was awesome! I could go from listening to my favorite indie band to Beethoven, just by pressing buttons! Oh, it was wonderful. The seats were comfortable and roomy, boarding was efficient, and the little video that shows you how not to die in the event of a plane crash was cute and entertaining. It was great, I can't wait to fly again.

Were you born for luxury? Well, get ready for............
THE BEST AIRTRAVEL EXPERIENCE. EVER.

I'm so overwhelmed by the glory and glamour of Virgin America, the heavenly airline that just recently opened a gate at Seatac, that I seriously do not know where to start.

$75 one-way from Seattle - San Francisco. I spent about $150 for a roundtrip city-to-city bender! You can't beat that!

Even in coach, it's the sexiest, most lavvy-lavvy-lavish trip you could ever hope for...
- Free bottled water as you board
- Plush white leather seats
- Hot pink & purple "mood lighting"
- Every seat gets a personal digiplayer with free headphones and remote/keyboard/game controller
ON THE DIGIPLAYER.......
- Satellite TV. I watched Top Chef and Sundance the whole time
- Video games, my favorite was a Tetris-esque one called "Gem Drop X" that had a sweet techno soundtrack!
- You order food, drinks, COCKTAILS by touch screen then the attendant brings them to you... there is a credit card slider built in the digiplayer.

Oh you thought I was done with this miracle digiplayer? No, read on....
- CHAT FUNCTIONS
- YOU CAN IM ANY SEAT IN THE PLANE
- YOU CAN SEND DRINKS TO OTHER PEOPLE
- "TV CHAT" WHERE YOU ARE IN A CHAT ROOM WITH THE OTHER PEOPLE ON THE PLANE WATCHING THE SAME SHOW AS YOU
- A GUY SENT ME A BEER
- MY FRIEND PICKED UP A HOT GUY SITTING TWO ROWS AHEAD OF US

Yep, so basically, if you are planning on flying to California or Vegas soon, GO. And if you aren't.... too bad. GO. You will never ever regret it, this is a taste of luxury that will last forever. You may not have been born with a silver spoon in your mouth, but no worries. Virgin America will shove it in there for you.

I'll trade you 20 cows, 7 horses, 50 chickens for a virgin? Just kidding...

My experience with Virgin America was a delight! Very cool and stylish. The lighting, the touch screen TV which made the flight seem shorter, loungey electronic music playing when plane is on stand-by.

By the way, the TV has CNN, ESPN, music channel, etc... and Google Maps! (You have to check this out!)

My TV kept on glitching on me... so, less 1 star for you!

But, all in all the best part... "It's on time"!

Hmmmm where to start, I think all of the money went into those cool, new planes, gadgets and marketing!  All of that is really cool and first rate.

When everything is perfect I bet that the airline is the best! However, I saw far from perfection, but not a complete disaster. Make sure everything you do is perfect and on time, because if it isn't you will end up paying for it.

Excess weight on bags, your second bag, extra carry on - all of it will be added on to your fare. The fares are cheap because they are buying their way into the market, great for us! But be prepared and be perfect. They expect you to be, when you are not, you will be charged for it! lol

The staff seems nice enough, and they all have a job to do, so you will have to pay for it. Customer service on the ground is mediocre at best. In the air, well, hmmm, I felt like I was in a speed dating competition, that I didn't enter.

I have a return flight coming up next week and I will finish my review then, I don't want to get spit on when I check in for my flight home.

I will say this, though, I think it should be called BadLands Airlines, its like flying in a gay bar! A busy one."

Virgin America is seriously the only way to fly!!! Our plane was super clean and the tv's in the headrest was "pimp"(do people still use this word?)!!!

Yes the lightly on the plane can be a bit cheesy but my flight to and from SF was nothing but a cake walk. The whole time we were in flight I was either watching tv our listening to music and/or ordering drinks. And if you're a control freak like me you can even track the plane during your flight.

Only gripe I have with VA is that you have to pay for snacks but even at that this airline still deserves 5 stars. Keep up the good work Virgin America because I know I will be using you from now on!!

Rock on VA!!

One time, I was waiting at the gate for my flight from SEA (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) to SFO.  When the plane arrived at SEA, it was carrying the first-ever VA flight from LAX, so there was a big celebration at the gate.  There was a red carpet and VA employees were standing on both sides of it, cheering for the disembarking passengers.  There was music, photographers, and sparkling white zinfandel (the pink drink kind of matched the red VA decor).  People walking by the gate stopped to watch, and a couple people asked me what was going on.  If you can get on one of these inaugural flights, I'm sure you'll have a fun time!

But even if you can't, the regular flights are still great.  I always look forward to traveling on VA (the same can't be said of other airlines).  I board the plane with the best intentions of getting work done during the flight, but somehow I end up giving all my attention to RED, the on-board entertainment system.  After the cute animated safety video is done and the plane is taking off, I flip through the TV channels to see if anything good is on.  If not, then I play some games.  The anagram game pisses me off, but I keep playing anyway (mainly because I suck at it and rarely solve all the possible words).  After I lose enough times, I switch to the mahjongg game to feel better about myself (I usually win that one).  And before I know it, the captain is turning on the 'fasten seat belt' sign, and the plane is beginning it's descent.

I don't know how I'll ever fly another airline again...

My first time flying with Virgin, and I am completely sold! We were running late, fortunately, their friendly and efficient staffs were able to get us on the plane as well as our checked in luggage.

When I first enter the cabin, I felt like I've stepped inside a blown up iMac + a chic lounge, the unique lighting phases really set the mood. It was spotless, despite the white interior. They even manage to make the in-flight safety clip entertaining!

They're truely the leader among the domestic airlines, with reasonable fares, Virgin is the only stylish way to fly, just wish they would offer more routes to/from LAX.

Once you go Virgin, you never go back.
When you step into the plane, you're flying in the future. --And every other airline becomes so painfully mundane.

From the great lighting (Who knew purple and pink are the perfect in-flight light colors? They make the sun seem passe.), to the in-flight entertainment system (called "Red"), to airline food that is actually fresh and tastes great, to flight staff so well-groomed, you're convinced they have personal stylists, Virgin America has set the standard for flying.

After flying a series of flights with them around the country in the last couple of weeks (Seattle to San Fran, San Fran to San Diego, San Diego to DC), I think I can authoritatively say that Virgin kicks ass.  Even when awful, scary weather surrounded where we were supposed to land, and we were told we've have to land at another airport, somehow the Virgin crew pulled it out and landed us at our original destination.  In the meantime, I charged my laptop at my seat and watched Top Chef and free TED talks.

The best part of flying Virgin?  When the airline attendants stop by and say, "Is there anything I can do for you?"  they actually mean it.

Ahhhh... the luxuries of life... Just took Virgin America up to Seattle for a quick weekend getaway of relaxation and rest... which ended up being a crazy mad tourist 1-day trip. The trip up was quick and painless... Only downside was that my keypad wasn't working on my IFE unit. Service was KICK ass and I had a blast talking to the In Flight Teammember.

Downside was that our flight back to SF seemingly took forever as we kept hitting turbulence and ended up in a circulating holding pattern. I swear I saw San Quentin at least 6 times. Service was prompt and friendly. Love the bottled water... I really hate how some airlines service tap water or canned water that tastes really really FUNKY.

My favorite airline so far. It has entertainment that keeps me awake and occupied than falling asleep or bored out of my mind. It's a unique airline and I would use this airline as often as I can.

Gosh, good thing they have those fancy TV screens, right?  I guess they distracted us from the miserable, pathetic service we received at Sea-Tac airport in Seattle.

We spent 13 hours in the airport watching other airlines launch plane after plane.  Our oh-so-helpful V.A. employees merely shrugged their ignorance, or, when other customers got cranky, insulted us to our faces.  Simple questions, like, "When was the de-icer ordered?" were met with sharply defensive  exclamations of total ignorance.  Why are they here if they cannot and will not make any attempt to figure out what's going on.

When people started suggesting that the airline give out meal-coupons or even blankets, we were told no, absolutely not.  They told us, "This is standard in the airline industry.  We do not give out vouchers due to weather delays."  All while watching other airlines take off.  Apparently, V.A. absolutely refuses to do better than other airlines.  They strive for mediocrity.  Instead of doing something, anything, to make our 13 hours pleasant, they just stood by and acted dumb.  No one said sorry for ten hours.

In closing, if you're a young hipster who values fancy technology and doesn't care about good service, go ahead and fly Virgin.

I fly to the Bay frequently and try to fly Virgin America as much as possible.  Watching tv, especially being able to watch Current TV, makes the flight go by so fast.  And you get to order drinks or food from your seat if you happen to sleep when the drink cart goes by.  Another plus...there's hardly a line when you go through the screening process near the gate from both Seatac and SFO. Score!

I could easily give VX a 4 1/2 star review. The check in was super speedy for my flight to SFO. I originally bought a regular coach ticket but to my wonderful surprise the computer offered for an extra $50 to upgrade me. Know being that VX is one of AS's new competitors for west coast routes and flying up front on AS I thought I would give VX a shot. First the plane is very clean, the crew were stylish and didn't look all stuff in their uniforms like many other crews do. Now the cabin. The pictures that you see online are what you get. I found the mood lighting very nice and relaxing on the eyes compared to the horrid lighting at the airport. The seats in first were out of this world! Full back massage, reclines almost to lay flat position, one can get up without having the other person move an inch, I WANT THIS SEAT ON EVERY FLIGHT I TAKE! As for the ets well it was alright. This whole thing is new to me so it'll take a few flights longer then 1.5-2 yrs to figure out. I wish VX would up the flights to and from Seattle and make Seattle one of its hubs/focus cities. For sure VX has raised the bar for west coast travel. Now lets hope they can make a profit very soon and give the big guys a run for their money!

WOW Going Virgin was the highlight of my trip. It was inexpensive ticket and both ways it was cheaper to fly then some one way tickets from other flights without the service.Awesome Fun staff, They give you head sets, They do not charge for things that are usually are not free but food and some movies and other items are available for a fee and only takes Debit/Credit Cards,I had to help a minor out because he only had cash. Love the mood light and the Cartoon safety tips.I don't want to ruin the trip for you by telling all but I am hooked!
